I had a vision quest in the 80s in a sacred part of Canyon Lands . A friend drove us there and gave us all St Peter's cactus juice and we played that day and into the night . I was as result able to dialogue mentally with the water that wound through our part of the Canyon . The wind was also very much alive and had it's own language as well . That was a life changing trip that I carry to this day in my heart !

The American West is probably one of the most beautiful places in the world. This place is about a 3hr drive from 12k+ snow capped mountains with dense forest and rivers. The diversity of the environmental is astonishing. Can't wait to go back!

So beautiful!!! My wife and I are going on our second trip to the southwest this summer. During out first trip there, we were mainly in New Mexico and Arizona and only got to pass through Utah and Colorado. This year, though, we're spending most of our time in New Mexico and Utah, and Canyonlands is one of the places we plan on going to. That, and Zion and Bryce are the three we most want to go to. This video is so beautiful and inspiring (too bad I don't have a 4K TV or monitor :( ), and makes me want to go even more!

Once again your video work and editing shows the spectacular geology that is in North America. As a Dutch Australian I had the good fortune to have lived in USA in the 80's and in fact I did a modelling job in this beautiful area for a German Cigarette company (two large pictures are on my lounge room walls). Having also learnt about geology, watching your video made me immediately revise my geology knowledge of Canyonlands National Park to understand once again how this spectacular landscape was formed and to try to visualise it in my mind. This makes it all so much more appreciative. Thanks for posting. Your work is amazing.

"I read in the LOC that this area was full of natural resources, precious and semi-precious stones. After being stripped for hundreds of years. It is still a spectacular sight to see. All canyons used to be FORRESTS OF TREES, RIVERS, LAKES, GOLD, SILVER, COPPER, and a lot more. Beautiful place. Beautiful history.

False Kiva (3:18) is, as of 2018, closed indefinitely due to increasingly frequent vandalism. Neither this feature, nor its access trail was ever published by the park service, but that still couldn't protect it. Because of the actions of a few bad eggs, the iconic view at 3:41 is no longer accessible to anyone.
Recreate responsibly, leave no trace, and BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU POST ONLINE. If you must post, be careful how you geotag the photo, especially if it's something sensitive or irreplaceable. Just because you were respectful when you found it, doesn't mean everyone in your audience or your audience's audience will be. Okay. Lecture over. Enjoy your public lands.

Very nice video. I felt like I was there! I went to the Island in the Sky, Dead Horse Point and Needles many years ago. I'm from Florida and the one thing I received when I was there was a terrific sunburn! My friend Harry and I had to go up into the La Sal Mountains ( I hope I got the name right, it has been a long time) afterwards just to cool off! When I went to the Needles Section, I remember being at the overlook behind a chain linked fence. I don't think I really got out into the Needles. I vaguely remember a trail so I might have gone on a short hike. Your 4K video is like being there in person. Thanks for the experience.

Yes, all locations are listed in detail in the video description.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Probably it is getting hot already, in June ...

Oh durr I didn't expand the description... Yes it was pretty hot at 85F for the days we were there, but the high was 94F on the day we left so we got lucky. I made a video too but it doesn't even come close to this one. Excellent work!

I have been exploring Canyonlands since 1965 so thank you for these beautiful images.
However the video is missing a number of the most famous and historic parts of the park. These include:
Druid Arch (a double vertical arch 450 feet tall)
The Confluence (where the Colorado and Green rivers meet)
The Maze (the third major district of the park, the hideout of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid)
Cataract Canyon (the most difficult rapids on the Colorado River)
    Thanks

+Ron Howe quite right, hopefully on future trip will see some of these, especially the remaining third section of the park, The Maze.
      Best regards!

At 0:16 Strangely top of all mountains or rocks are perfect flat at the same height, if not flattened on purpose what is the natural process that had ended up all these vast number of elevations be perfect flat at the same height?!
