I’m 71 years old now. I enjoyed all of Elvis’s movies. I saw “Kid Galahad” at a theater in downtown Gastonia, NC. I have 4 priceless photos from a Woolworth’s 4 for a quarter photo booth. I’m flashing the Elvis smile with a tooth missing and have my fists up in 2. Excellent film and loved the soundtrack. Also, several photos including a class photo from 5th grade show me and several classmates flashing the Elvis smile. I read that Elvis’s real dream was to be a great actor. A lot of people feel he followed that dream and realized it.
Bronson worked with everybody in bit parts, long before he became an "overnight sensation" as one of the world's top stars. He even got beat up by Katherine Hepburn in "Pat and Mike."
On this day in 1962 {August 29th} Elvis Presley's movie "Kid Galahad" opened in theaters across the U.S.A. One song from the movie charted; "King of the Whole World" entered the Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart on September 22nd and peaked at #30... R.I.P. to The King...
I always roar with laughter when Elvis takes as much as he can take and then Whack!.... KO. I don't like seeing my man getting hit but he can sure pack a punch when pushed. Great film, something about this one is different with the Irish connection not to mention Liam Redmond a real nice actor, Gig Young too and Charles Bronson. I grew up with that beautiful 45 EP, nice upload.
This is my favorite Elvis movie, even if the critics claim there were better Elvis movies. What makes you love this movie is the camaraderie and likeability of the supporting characters. Even Joey, the camp's star boxer, is a likeable guy. He takes no grudge for Elvis knocking him out and instead befriends Elvis! Camp owner, Grogan, is the least likeable although you start to like him late in the movie, especially when he comes to the aid of Charles Bronson's trainer character, who had both hands broken by organized crime thugs. Elvis shows up in the nick of time and the battle turns against the thugs, all of them getting knocked out.
Elvis received his US Army Draft letter on December 20, 1957. He returned home on March 2, 1960. Some time in 1960, Bye Bye Birdie appeared on Broadway, a spoof of the Elvis Phenomenon, in which the Rock star (Conrad Birdie) was proved to be a glassed-jawed sucker before joining the Army. The Musical was a hit. Though this was not Elvis' first post-army film, I have no doubt that this story-line was chosen as a counter-point to the Conrad Birdie caricature. The image of Kid Gallahad's stunning resilience to these repeated facial blows, has stuck with me since I was a boy.
To me this is Elvis's best movie he was outstanding in it in the early 60s he made three great movies flaming star wild in the country and Kid Galahad all three of these movies are outstanding Elvis's performance top notch Marlon Brando James Dean Paul Newman could not have played these films any better then Elvis did it was a underrated actor Kid Galahad five stars other great Elvis movies to watch for loving you Jailhouse Rock King Creole roustabout Charro all showed his dramatic talents Kid Galahad is one of a kind one of the best of the early 60s Elvis was great I'm physically vocally did the fight scenes awesome great melodrama
musikat16 5 dollars.....lol it still makes me laugh. I said it was tko because he was unable to carry out the fight. But still not declared by the referee. I could be wrong. The scene is hilarious. Lol
Elvis did such an amazing job in the flim kid galdhad. Witch come out. In 1967and elvis was only 32 when did the flim in 1967. I’m a huge fan huge fan of elvis Presley’s And I love 💕 his music and flims too elvis will always be the king of rock and roll 🎸 8:32pm my dream is to to visit Graceland and communicate with elvis
elvis was a great actor before he got bored and made a atleast a hand full of great drama s this flaming star wild in the country. jail. house rock. king creole even some of the light. waight movies. witth drama. romance and comedy he was awesome. in girls girls girls fun in aculpoco and roustabout charro so elvis great actor who got miss cast tough kids and loners he was great at playing
The Colonel was largely responsible for not allowing Elvis to develop his acting career. The musical films like GI Blues and Blue Hawaii made a hell of a lot more money at the Box Office than more "serious" movies such as Wild In The Country and Flaming Star. The musicals also produced soundtrack albums which brought in a lot of money too.The die was cast with the phenonemal success of Blue Hawaii and from then on the formula remained the same.
I hear people constantly criticizing elvis because he didn't write his own songs. All i can say is look at his work record. From 1954-1977 He made 30 some movies and he recorded hundreds of songs. Not a star today could keep up with this pace.
With his physique, Elvis could have been the new James Dean. Too bad he was only offered mediocre films. He who dreamed of being like Brando, will only be the singer on the screen.

all of them? most are bad and were even hated by Elvis for the most part
I had no idea Elvis and Charles Bronson worked together! Going to find this movie. Two of my favorites.
Bronson worked with everybody in bit parts, long before he became an "overnight sensation" as one of the world's top stars. He even got beat up by Katherine Hepburn in "Pat and Mike."
Elvis and Charles Bronsan.. Two of my favorites..R.I.P.
Turning point in this very good film. In it, Elvis really acts, which is good to see. Strong supporting cast rounds it all out.
Elvis really was a great actor.
This is a great film. One of Elvis' best. Wonderful cast of actors too, Charles Bronson, Gig Young, Lola Albright , Joan Blackman!! 😍😍👌
Gracias por compartir canciones hermosas fotos videos de ELVIS ❤❤ELVIS PRESLEY FOREVER ❤❤BENDICIONES

Yes!! My favorite scene in this fantastic Elvis movie.

elvis was the all-american boy in 1962.every boy wanted to be him.rest in peace elvis-miss you.
One of his better movies.
Elvis glowed what an angel!
thanks. great gear and spirit...and Elvis.
I luv elvis...and Charles Bronson....
This is a good illustration of what the term “cover” REALLY means. It absolutely does NOT mean merely recording a song that you didn’t write yourself.
Elvis and Bronson both grew up very poor, so they developed a respect for one another!
No offense bit how on earth do you know that??
I had also read Charlie had no ti,e for elvis
The song in the beginning made me cry when he looked in the ring
“It’s getting a little uncomfortable in here, do I still get my 5 dollars?”😁
Nice to see Elvis with Bronson.
Allegedly Bronson didn't have any friends but got along with Elvis very well. They liked each other.
It's not only the scene for me, it's the musical also .
Elvis' best acting was actually in the ring. He seems to forget himself the most when he's in the ring fighting.
"Do I still get my 5 dollars?" .... About that 5 dollars 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Elvis' good friend Muhammad Ali loved this movie.
RIP KING
Elvis presley and charlie bronson 👏☺
Bello bravo Elvis/Kid....
alla fine si è stancato e con un solo colpo ha steso l!altro.....
Eccezionale ! 😂❤

All I can say is Lucky me. I was very very lucky. Thank you Elvis.

Elvis : 'Do I still get my 5 dollars'.
Promoter: Yes
Elvis: 'Thankuverymuch uh huh huh'....lol

Funny when he said" do I still get my 5 dollars"? Seems to be the only thing he's concerned about. After that TKO. Haha hahaha.
musikat16 5 dollars.....lol it still makes me laugh. I said it was tko because he was unable to carry out the fight. But still not declared by the referee. I could be wrong. The scene is hilarious. Lol

No the best is King Creole
for all you people that don't realize
was a real person
kid Galahad was a real
joie VS kid galahad
simple elvis not boxing fit but he still looked good
i prefer him with black hair
Elvis fanboys will buy anything. This movie is bland and too tame for the king of rock and roll. Lifetime channel instead of Fox
😅😂
With his physique, Elvis could have been the new James Dean.
Too bad he was only offered mediocre films. He who dreamed of being like Brando, will only be the singer on the screen.
reminds me of rocky......
yo tengo un libro sobre elvis y dice que elvis cuando hacia karate en el ejercito termino en el puesto 6
Elvis & Bronson didn't like each other ? as Rumor has it !
I heard the exact opposite.
Apparently it was Elvis and Gig Young that fell out!!
@@elizabethgalligan1805, BINGO! Gig did not like the attention Elvis gave his wife - Elizabeth Montgomery.
apparently Elvis and Bronson hated each other.
No they didn’t. They got along well.
Stupidest moviescene I've seen in a long time.
Oh shut up
😍😍😍ELVIS😍😍😍
joie VS kid galahad
😍😍😍ELVIS😍😍😍
