Watching the engi bay burn down over 60 seconds in game 1 at 17:30 and deny rank 3 armor was painful to watch.
Especially the spazzed out SCV trying to reach it
Around 40:00 the reason why he delays his Twilight Council is to hide his 4 gate blink build. It’s herO’s deadliest build if the Terran doesn’t scout and prepare (you saw Maru and Bunny die to this in the GSL / DreamHack finals). Once the reaper scouts the 4th gateway, herO knows there’s no chance and thus cancels + builds a 3rd Nexus.

This Series broke me. With Game 3 I put the playback speed to times 2 to get through it without getting bored.
The follow up to the magic trick was another magic trick: Disappear
Recall circle is same position when done so if the unit is on top of the circle, they spawn on top of the nexus bottom of the circle, they spawn on the buttom of the nexus but to move your units in to position to recall properly is hard. Recall shouldn't lock unit movement, but keep them in the casting circle so you can position your units but I don't think they can add this effect.

When you mentioned running Windows XP in 2010, I actually had to look it up, as it seemed to me like something didn't fit. Turns out, there is a very big chance that you were running Windows XP in 2010 (specifically, service pack 3), even though it launched in 2001.
Windows Vista had launched on 2006 but, well, it was Windows Vista, not like there's much to add. And Windows 7 launched on 2009, but the initial hardware requirements were pretty steep IIRC, Aero could bring quite a lot of computers of that era to their knees.
And now I'm left feeling old.
Please, do not take this as some kind of vicious mockery but your "Hello, my name is Lowko" intros starts to sound like "I'm Mr Meeseeks, look at me!" and this made my day :D

Fun fact, you probably used a computer with windows XP this month it is still a widely used OS in ATMs, for example.
A trick to combat being critical is when they make a mistake, instead of being critical of them, praise the other side for their skill. That fills the time.

Game 1 shows storm > disruptors. If Hero had storm to get rid of the vikings when he did the recall, he could have won rhat game.

I think protoss players should be a lot more aggressive with their recalls.
Make a mothership recall into your oppenent base kill a bunch of stuff and then recall out before the terran gets there and just do this over and over again
You can't recall the mothership w/ the nexus recall though, can you? And a mothership is slow to build and expensive. Otherwise Toss probably would do it a lot.
Some people probably still used XP in 2010 when SC2 came out, but Windows 7 came out in 2009, so most people had probably switched by then if they hadn't already installed Vista.
depends on the country. we had very slow adoption of 7 but it became extremely popular by 2013
@@cyberkekosis true, although XP was showing its age and everyone hated Vista, so when 7 came out in my experience people were happy to jump to one that just worked.
@@HaploBartow most likely your compatriots spend more money on their computers. it's still very common to have a pre-2017 PC here. in earliest 2010s, it's been the same, most people were rocking C2D or even Pentium 4 level computers and I tell you what, W7 is terribly slow on such systems. that's why adoption was so slow.
@@cyberkekosis Yeah but we're talking gamers and game casters here. These are people who generally have PCs optimized for gaming, or at least a typical Gateway or Dell PC back in 2010 with an aftermarket video card (I think I was still rocking a GeForce FX 5200 until 2008). BTW, you could turn off Aero right out of the box and greatly improve system performance.
@@HaploBartow come on, RTS gamers ain't the same guys who prefer AAA. RTS gamers usually have lower tier equipment compared to the AAA gamers. especially in Russia where spending more than 700 USD on a PC wasn't common and is still uncommon. in 2010, i barely afforded myself a low-tier C2D (E6550) system with a GPU of HD 3850 level or something along those lines. that was suitable for W7 no doubt but WXP ran much, much smoother even if Aero was disabled in W7. no games required W7 either back then.
"Passive" is quickly becoming a serious insult to one's StarCraft playing, right behind "Suboptimal" and "Widow Mine user"

I love how people use Ghosts in StarCraft 2 but barely used them on Brood War 😭 I always thought they were so cool
The wonders of concusive damage. In Broodwar they were really a spellcaster. The only things they can outfight are zerlings small units.

Hero's gameplay was some of the worst I've seen in a while for Protoss.
I Swear if I see one more of these stupid "Become a Hero" ad's, I'm going to Planetary my computer just like HowToBasic.
This is the lowest level high level game i've seen for ages. Many mistakes, huge passivity... Painful.
Even native English speakers get this wrong, but the word "momentarily" means something takes a moment to happen. For example, "The plus one weapons upgrade is momentarily delayed." If you want to something is going to happen soon, the proper expression is either "in a moment" or "presently". Also, "presently" doesn't mean right now. It means soon. If you want to say something is happening right now, you say "at present" or "currently." So ends the today's English lesson.

LowKo eats a COUPLE (like 7 of them since he thinks 3 or more means a couple) of boogers for breakfast 🍳
9:10 Does Lowko not know that all units recalled appear in the same place as they were in the recall circle except for the ones in the middle that are shunted to the nearest open space? You can control where things appear by where they are in the recall circle. If you only have units in the top right part of the recall circle for instance they will ALWAYS appear on the top right of the nexus.
I learned this from Florencio I would have thought Lowko would know this.
