Well,part of the League of Assassins` indoctrination is that nature and its creatures are beautiful and pure but human beings with few exceptions are irredeemably corrupt, decadent and mediocre afterall.

They are ruthless towards other people, but they are surprisingly kind towards animals and small children. Damian doesn't do great with people or kids, but by God, is he great with animals.
