Keyonte George is solid and comes off as a quick study i see him being just fine running the team for years to come looks like the Jazz are going to be super patient with him how Memphis was with Mike Conley with Coach Hollins back in the day.......
I really think he could be special if we allow him to develop. Love his relationship with Dunn and how Dunn works with him now let’s just see them on the court together more.
Guys totally agree with your thoughts again! Lauri's body language tells everything. He is just a screen maker for others. I am amazed that Hardy lets Sexton-Clarkson-THT show going on? Concerning this game I am also stunned about the refs!? Why is that this Hollywood Lakers actors get fts so easy. My bet for Davis before the game was 14 fts. And for Lauri 4.
Again good stuff from you guys. Almost made it through without shitting on THT as well, maybe one day :) This trade deadline was clear signal that it's going to be a long time before Jazz are making a serious push towards playoffs. And I wonder how any of the guys who are not going to be part of that, 3+ years from now feel about this. Doesn't seem like there is much incentive to play with team first attitude for most of the players.
Of the active players in the NBA, Lauri has played second most of games out of those who have never played a single game in the playoffs. Since Buddy Hield is now in Philadelphia, there is a big chance that after this season Lauri will be number one on that list. At the all time list he is number 25 and will probably end up to top 20 at the end of the season. So yes, even if Lauri is ultimate team player and never asks for special treatment and that frustration and tiredness to the situation isn't what you want your team leader to show, it's more than understandable. Though Ben Anderson in their podcast said that he was in the lockerroom too and didn't feel the same frustration than Andy Larsen (didn't mention name though said "than some others" 😂). He felt it was more like tiredness before All Star break mixed to the loss of the game emotions that was in the air. Who knows 🤷♀️
JC & THT have the same agent Rich Paul so there all about numbers and lucrative contracts so they could care less about defense and team Basketball seriously
The Jazz should have finished the forth quarter with Keyonte Sexton & Dunn on the perimeter but hey they have a contractual obligation to JC i see 👀 don't want to get him & Rich Paul upset lol, he'll want out immediately, Utah is lost right now
Honestly THT gets too much hate he is a very talented his only problem is dribbling, shooting, passing, decision making, on-ball defense, fouling, screen navigation, and team defense. Other than that he’s great
Tell me… when you were yelling about how awful the Jazz looked… both earlier in the season and in the last ten games before the deadline, when they got blown out in historic fashion by the Pelicans, when they got blown out in embarrassing fashion by a bad Nets team and a completely depleted Knicks team, and suffered an awful loss at home to a completely depleted 76ers team… … After watching all that, your main thoughts for the deadline were… damn man we really gotta keep playing Kelly, keep Hendricks off the floor, and we better pay Simone the full MLE this summer. Cuz that’s what non-playoff teams do… Ochai was shooting 28% from 3 the last two months, with 2.4 rebounds, .8 assists, .5 steals and .6 blocks…. Woooaahh impressive… this is the guy you’re crying about losing on a team that was struggling to make the play-in WITH them? Oh wait that’s right you didn’t just wanna stand pat, you wanted to BUY Dejounte Murray (a couple picks and Sexton was the approximate price), so you could play Dunn and Murray together and put Keyonte on the bench, nice. Yeah, as a below .500 team, let’s spend assets on another player who will block our other rookie’s development and who didn’t move the needle for anyone else either. Excellent idea. Are you sure NBA teams aren’t just clamoring for your services and input?
If Lauri is really that emotionally defeated after losing a couple roleplayers (and not just frustrated at himself cuz he played like dogshit), he’s gotta toughen up A LOT. Maybe he’s not a cornerstone for a championship team if he folds that easily.
Is it worth wasting 3-8years of the franchise on a rebuild for champ title that probably even wonr come? Theres a risk that you anyhow will become a new hornets. Picks are such a jeopardy. You dont know who will pan out and the outcome is higher that these picks dont develope. I say that this is a wrong path, you will lose the interest of utahnians, the jazz games will become like "who cares ".
Everybody with some insight knows that this team sucks, the players arent stupid they know it themselves. Lauti should accept asap that this now the worst team in the league and winning is in the past. He should motivate himself by taking these coming games like practise sessions and try to enjoy and develope himself. I know its hard to dive and give everytjing when you know that it doesnt matter cos youre losing anyhow.
This building for future is ridicilous, you dont have the building blocks. Keyonte is going to be fine ,he has the tools, lets see how far he will reach. Hendricks is a bust,he has the 3pt shot and defensive ability, but poor hands and low basketball-iq. He's not dominating in gleague like leo miller of wolves. He has so much to learn,I dont think hell do it. Brice? Probably a bust cos he aint getting playing time in s tank team. He's horrible in d and he has not learnt anything of it gleague .
This is the NBA, not your grandmother’s quilting circle. Good players on every team get traded (and/or waived) multiple times every friggin season. Often for very good reasons (as was the case here). Suck it up and move on, both as players and fans. Or maybe find another team or sport to watch - maybe the NBA isn’t for you.
THT is delusional he wants to have a green light like Sexton & JC instead of fully focusing on defense and passing and using his size especially when cutting to draw fouls we the ball is moving, but no he stops the ball and continues to play one on one Rouge Basketball chasing his numbers all night long till he gets pulled SMDH
That’s what’s frustrating. If the dude would actually play to his skill set he could be a really good role player but instead he just puts his head down and pounds the dribble.

The team betrayed Laurie.
ROFL oh? Were you in the room when they lied to Lauri about exactly the types of moves they’d be making?
