I’m redoing my 88 S-10 currently.(also red) It also has the 2.8. Right now if trying to figure out how to out the steering column back together… after tearing it down to tighten the steering bolts. I love these old trucks. They are amazingly simple to work on. Thanks for the video.

Yeah, I enjoy these trucks and really miss driving this one. I just have too many projects and need to buckle down and get this one running and driving again. Parts are sometimes the tricky part, but I have been fortunate to find what I need so far. Take care.

I have the same hope, but this rain is really putting a crimp on things. I am starting to feel like I should be recording ark building videos. LOL!

Thank you for making me feel better about the amount of rust my S10 has. The Vette wheels actually look good on an S10.

Hang in there IG, you and I sing the same song. So much to do and want to do, and not enough time. Be retired and have more time and not as much mulah, ummm. Just keep plugging away at it. I heard you speak of three vehicles, I am up to 4. Last one is just to get around, 91 S10. 3\4 needs a injector pump. Project S10, needs finishing, Red 98 S10 at a shop to get the 2.2 Diesel running. So one day we will get it where we want. Love your candid approach to your projects. See you on the next video.

I'm excited to see the build. ❤ are ya the original owner to this truck? I had a '87 2.5 4cyl in the 90s. I was literally blown off the icy interstate going 45mph at WY Cheyenne exit in winter of '94. Hit head on in center of the exit sign with 3ea 4×4 posts. I missed that truck ever since. In Jan '23, I bought '87 2.8l same color as my first. I too am in Ohio, the truck came from NC with solid frame and body. The dashboard is bad but, I found one with one crack I fixed it with permatex vinyl repair and thinking of adhesion promoter and vinyl paint to dark blue from gray before installing this spring. Steering wheel n column tilt from same truck with dashboard, radio needs put in too. I've fixed the heater, coated body with penetrating oil. Lots of fun 😊

I am excited to get back to tearing into this thing. It has been on the backburner for too long. I am not sure how many owners this truck has had... It started its life in Florida and end up in the rust belt. Poor thing. lol

I have to get in my dash on my '86. Im getting nothing from the control switches for my heat and air. And the factory radio kicks in every now and then.
