well there's the Evil Deadpool shown here who is literally Deathstroke, there's the Marvel Zombies Deadpool (aka Headpool) who can destroy entire universes if he bites someone spreading the virus and then there's the Kill em All Deadpool who is so crazy he killed his entire universe (including Galactus) and then tried to kill every Deadpool to exist in the Multiverse. Don't worry about the last one he's dead after regular Deadpool broke him using words and made him suicidally depressed.

Um that's kind of part of the whole premise of the Mad Cap ark...Thor blasts DP and MC with a large amount of lightning reducing them to ash, they regenerate into one body, MC is stuck in DP's head for a long time driving MC insane, and then DP gets ripped in half and viola MC is separated from DP creating a good DP villain with the power to heal almost as fast if not faster than DP among some other abilities.
MC being short for Mad Cap...I didn't want to write out his name every time I referenced him.

I wonder, would the Penance Stare work on Deadpool at this point in time? I know it doesn’t work since he’s had it performed on him before, and he just gets shown what amounts to a highlight reel of his kills. But he wants to die, and seems to be way more mentally stable, so would it work now?

You misunderstand.. The deadpool killogy is Canon but the crazy deadpool is a deadpool from a different universe.. He did tussle with our deadpool of 616 in deadpool vs deadpool
The Silencer it’s just a story that features characters in canon. It shouldn’t be taken to heart just like punisher kills the marvel universe shouldn’t.

It's a what if storyline...it is still Canon cuz it happened in another universe.. Not only that.. The deadpool from that story even crossed over to the main universe.. But yeah, shouldn't really be taken seriously because the event didn't change much anything in the main universe Except kill off the deadpool squad including my favorite character, headpool... :(
