Stereotypical prohibition era gangster movie with stock characters and the usual patter. The little twist...the moll (Rose) with a heart of gold. All that said....this was the core of the depression (in so many ways)...and a bit of fantasy and a touch of hope are nice details. Thank you for archiving and posting this gem.

I absolutely love how it took less than 10 people to direct and produce and less than 10 to lead and star and its far more enjoyable than any single thing made with dozens to hundreds of "stars", extras and "necessary" skills where lighting, set and makeup alone are concerned.
