Also for those who have watched this and are not aware, this anime takes place in the universe of another series that aired a couple years earlier called "King of Braves: GaoGaiGar", which is one of the best mehca shows ever made. It also has a light novel crossover with Betterman called "King of Destruction: GaoGaiGar vs Betterman" that takes place years after the end of Betterman and GGG Final.

@@xtrmn8r16 I'd seen kids anime and the stuff on adult swim before, but this stuff was considered obscure and niche even in Japan, it was licensed specifically because it was super cheap, and as a result felt a lot more serious and unique than what we generally think of as anime. Great times.

And they never "licensed" anything, they were just given broadcast rights to air whatever US distributor worked with them (which was basically Bandai, Pioneer/Geneon, and ADV).

I watched this when I was in highschool I would record it and then watch it while doing homework. Good old vhs tapes! I love this anime and I had a single tear of grief to know it was over. Just like cowboy bebop I loved that show so much!

Well I'm probably WAY too late to the point that you may know the answer already but, fun fact! It's actually the director of the show himself who sings this song. Yoshitomo Yonetani. He went under a fake name ※-mai when he sang this, he is not a singer professionally. So unfortunately if you want to hear more of this singer their isn't really a way to do that, he's never done concerts, haha. But, he has sung in some other anime he directed. Like the GaoGaiGar Opening (specially the Final version) where it's a choir singing, he's one of the male voices in the choir. Hope this helped! Yonetani is my hero
