    To have a healthy voice:
    Eat healthy (less sweets, no alcohol, no cigarettes, less milk) 1:45
    Hydrate regularly:
    Drink lots of water or a regular amount (8-9 cups a day or something like that *correct me if I’m wrong*) 1:19
    Warm ups:
    Lip trails (she gives more detail on how to do it in the video 2:08)
    How to stop the shakiness in your voice: kinda hard to explain so here’s the time stamp: 2:45
    How to warm up your riffs and runs first:
    This makes it riffs and runs easier when belting (3:45)
    She also has a video talking about this in more in depth.
    To warm up your belts:
    Do this AFTER your riffs and runs warmup.
    The way she does it is she plays the lowest note she can belt then go higher and higher until she cracks then goes back down. And repeat this so you can go higher or lower each time. 4:08
    To warm up your vocal cords:
    Best way is to have you WHOLE body warmed up using the form of exercise or cardio is what she uses. Best way to exercise is maybe to run on a treadmill. 4:42
    HOPE this helped by chance!!

    Yes #8 was such a no-brainer for me but it took me forever to make the connection. 5k training helped me tremendously... the breathing coordination. Also, working out your abs which support the ideal space for the lungs to work freely. Hip hop abs by Shaun T is awesome plus he is trying to get on Broadway way as a matter of fact! Good points!

    Hi Zane! When I sing like riffs and runs my jaw just naturally moves, i try to not move my jaw but i couldn't, i couldn't do riffs and runs when i don't move my jaw is it normal?

    • @AmaZaneChannel
      @AmaZaneChannel  7 лет назад +19

      +Heart Sharppei There's a lot of singer that do that, but I think about it this way. What if you were performing and your nervous so your jaw is tense, then your riffs and runs would be thought to sing right?
      Keep practicing by keeping the jaw "numb" and not moving, and sing some runs.
      Really pay close attention to how your vocals flow without the use of the jaw. Do you know what I mean? 🤓 Hope this helped

    • @heartsharppei9232
      @heartsharppei9232 7 лет назад +2

      AmaZane Channel yeah i did try it for like a few months and i kinda compared a riff with jaw tension and a riff without my jaw moving, then my friend told me that she like the riff with my jaw moving because it just added more to the song and she said it added a little something, i try my best to not move it but i just can't do successful riffs and runs and they would just kinda flop

    • @k3ny457
      @k3ny457 5 лет назад +4

      In *my* opinion I think it’s normal because it happens to me and other singers I know for example: Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello, and etc. That’s why I think it’s normal so don’t worry *too* much, idk if I’m wrong otherwise listen to AmaZane Channel :) 😊

  • @Celatra
    @Celatra 7 лет назад +8

    I have a problem...
    Well ok you don't care about me I know it already but let's pretend that you do for a second.
    I've only recently noticed that my comfortable vocal range varies alot from day to day and so does my confidence as well. Because.... like whenever I want to sing for the public ( on the internet) I can't, because people are immediately on my shoulders telling me that I should improve this and that..... when I'm fact trying my best to improve my entire voice for almost 20 hours a week...
    The thing is, that's it's evident that I seem to be stuck at one point now and I can't get past it anymore, I don't know if I will ever get past it even if I got a vocal coach...
    all in all, warmups don't help if you're a perfectionist and pay attention to every flaw you make while singing... while self criticism is vital for development... it can also be damaging if you're worried about every mistake you make. And I happen to have this exact problem. My perfectionism is so over the top, that I'm loosing my self confidence, and I just want less and less people to hear me sing... when I started out I sucked, but atleast I was confident enough to not give a fuck... now I give way too many fucks... to the point where it's taking away all my enjoyment from singing.

    • @AmaZaneChannel
      @AmaZaneChannel  7 лет назад +2

      Of course I care.
      That's normal to feel that way. I can relate 100% and I still have to deal with it everyday. The internet, and this society in general can get so judgmental and full of hate to everybody who is different and unique. Warm ups help you warm up, they're not supposed to sound good because it's just a warm up that gets you ready for the main course. It's like an appetizer lol idk.
      But it's hard to shut off that perfectionism because that's what true performers have to go through to give a great show. Try to love singing for fun. It's gonna be tough to make that transition though. Don't give it up no matter what anyone says. You are your worst critic in the end, so switch out that negativity into positivity and you'll be fine. Just know I'm rootin for you buddy.

      a run is where you do a lot of different notes at the same time pretty much back to back ariana grande does them a lot and a belt is where you sing a note loudly but also clearly and a whistle is like really high pitch like g # and a riff is i’m pretty sure a note that goes from low to high 🤷🏻‍♀️

    People say I have a strong and raspy voice. My choir teacher said I improve a lot. Some people said that my singing sounds good. So I had confidence and sang in public. Other people say I sing horrible. So I am not confident anymore. But my mom and 3 friends say that I just need to tune my voice.

    Hi, when I was a 7 years old boy I did whistle like Maria Carey ( in emotion song) lot of time . At that time I doesn't know about singing . But few days before I saw the emotion song( sing by Maria Carey ). i was shocked and I said OH MY GOD at that time . And I tried that whistle (like I did when I was 7 years old boy) my whistle and my singing voice is really bad now because I start singing like before I did ( 11 years after I trying to whistle , but I can't do that) . Now I would like to singing . what kind of vocal exercise need to get my voice back? Please reply my comment .

    DO YOU NEED YOUR NOSE TO SING HIGH NOTES?
    i recently came down with a horrible sinus / nose condition.. and it affects my singing a lot....
    I know you have a video about how to not sing through your nose.. but with high notes... i NEED My nose...
    I never realized how much i needed my nose... But i placed my sound there a LOT.

    • @AmaZaneChannel
      @AmaZaneChannel  5 лет назад

      It really depends on what register you’re planning to sing with when you’re singing high 😅
      For belting with power you don’t need your nose too much... but for registers like head voice and falsetto ...I understand why you need your nose.
      Try experimenting with other registers ❤️

    I have a question about this. Should we run or thread mill before we start warming up our voice or we warmed up our voice an then we run and then we sing?

    • @AmaZaneChannel
      @AmaZaneChannel  5 лет назад

      You can run outside or run a treadmill haha, and then focus on breathing from your diaphragm to recover (check my latest video for that) and then maybe jog or run again until your body is warm.
      Breathe from your diaphragm again to recover.
      Then when you catch your breath, try singing! Feels much easier I promise you.

    Hi Zane!
    So I have a big problem here, I work out every day, I run a lot and everything, but the thing here is that my parents make me drink tons of milk every day, like 6 glasses a milk. And I want to improve my singing! I don't eat candy (it's rare) I don't smoke, or drink soda. But what can I do? Any advice? Cause I can't change the any milk in my diet.
    Ps: Love your video! I will definitely do the warm-ups!

      They want you to drink milk for the calcium right? So just find something else that has calcium so you can substitute milk for it.
