The fusion between what is new and what is considered classic "vintage" is absolutely stunning
RestoModding is a thing. I wish there was a way to cheaply replicate stuff like car chassis and body panels.
3D scanning and printing might come to the rescue at some point in the future.
I personally am generally not a fan of restomods. I love original classics
And as an owner of a Volvo P1800ES should I hate this car, but it is just too cool and they went to such great lengths to make it authentic which makes this car into the only restomod I actually really like

I know I will probably get yelled at for this, but this is in my opinion the most beautiful car out there. The P1800 have always had a place in my heart and THIS... this work of art is almost to much to take in. I know what I will be saving for.
This is one of the best 4cyl's I've heard.
Such a gorgeous car, topped off with an impeccable attention to detail. Even the engine bay looks so clean with almost no wires in sight, love it..

This is not a car for those new money supercar blondie type of people. This is a car for people like jay leno. Those who really understand and appreciate the mechanical side of the automobile

Does the trunk turn into a pool when it rains, seen that it has a big hole on the top? I haven't noticed any waterproofing gasket or similar...
sense its got no abs or traction, its not really made to drive in the rain but there is probably like a drain tube if water gets into them
@@jonniemiec4633 cars from the 80s and earlier didn't have ABS nor Traction control. They were still driven in the rain... They were still waterproof... So the safety systems don't have anything to do with it.
But yes, you can see the drainage at the fuel cap in the video.

IS COST 500K, WTF. Is lock and sound so good, but 500K OMG at 150 wipers are flying away and you can*t drive it on the auto band because of the noise and limited speed build for that is keep it around 200 at more the parts will be flying away.
At what is offer and how is lock you can bet does not cost more than 100K
An M3 manual gearbox, straight pipe, unstrip, soft around 20K can do it better, my opinion.
Well, its got a racing engine, racing brakes, suspension etc. So i think 500k is "reasonable"

Guess it's because this is the prototype and Cyan don't want it to be smashed against a tree.
I'm pretty sure it have more to give since he isn't even topping out forth gear and there is still one to go.
Not saying an M3 is a bad car, but throw a rock and it will hit two of those.
Same thing with Bugattis and Koenigseggs, you don't buy them because they (cost and) are ten or twenty times better than a GT3 RS, but because your neighbor don't have one.
So in short, this is an orange, almost all other cars are apples. If you want to compare, do it against Singer, Alfaholics, Eagle et cetera...

Reminds me so much of my dad's 67 1800S. I won't be able to pull off the Cyan, but maybe I can restore the old '67. Thanks for posting. This took me back, although the old motor has way less HP it was still incredible to drive.

The plans Cyan Racing had with the S60 V8 was incredible. Too bad the higher ups at Volvo didnt want to compete with such as AMG or Audi RS. Could you imagen a Volvo S60 with a 500+ 4.4L V8 doing 0 - 100 in 3 something seconds and had the potential to break a nurburgring record. Yeah such a shame.

You can get a continuation Ford GT40 mark I or II with a 427ci @550hp N/A @ 2,450 curb weight; which is placed into Ford's registry as an authentic gt40 for 1/4 of the price of that volvo.
The volvo looks cool, but not $500,000 cool when you can get a Le Mans race car for a quarter of the price.
I can't afford either, but if I could it wouldn't be the volvo.

A man I worked with like 15 years ago spent year making an 1800 into mint condition. And once that was done he started with an old alfa, but cant remember which it was and was all in parts at that time. Loved that guy, most pedantic guy Ive ever met when it came to vehicles
