if you read this, thank you for being so candid and open about how gaming (and other 80's pop culture) could serve to distract or even as an escape from a hard childhood. I can very much relate to your story. Man, I hope you never stop making videos about Sega. Lets go Streets of Rage 4!! 11 days and counting
Wow. Just awesome. Especially the saturn shelves. Beautiful collection/game room overall. I started watching your content 5 months ago because of your dreamcast videos. Im just now making it back to the 2018 stuff, im very thankful for all of your saturn and dreamcast content especially. You've definitely only improved overtime content wise and ill always be a fan.
So glad you are back. I was subscribed to you and then one day you were gone. Then just last week, i seen you had another video up and i know i had to add you again. I love your vocal style, style of reviewing, sharing your personal life with us, and that you are a Sega fan. Thank you for doing what you do here. Keep it real always
Wow, your collection is amazing! I would say I am jealous but the sensible side of me says that's stupid because you must have worked hard in your life to accumulate all this stuff and all these things so instead I would say I have great respect for your collection. My Father was the same as yours when I was a kid, he's an alcoholic (not that our experiences are necessarily the same, that would be an assumption too far, we all are different.) Sadly I have inhereted a lot of those traits. I have to be careful not to fall down that hole. I'm only a few years younger than you but when I feel down and I feel like I'm facing the edge of the world, when I'm alone as I don't have many friends or family that gives a shit, I watch your videos and I go and play the games on my Raspberry Pi emulator. It distracts me and makes me feel better. I love your videos and what you do for us fans. You should have far more subscribers. Keep making them because I for one couldn't live without them and it makes me feel like I know you and that you are my video game buddy! Much love Brother, will always support your content.
The collection was nice to look at. But in the end got real deep and I respect you for coming out in the public to talk about that said issue in your past. I dont wanna mention it here as it would spoil the video for others. But if you can, please watch this until the end everyone. Great job dude.
Hey man great story on your childhood and I totally understand where you're coming from. More than you know. Kudos for showing that side of yourself like that. Shows how you really dealt with that stuff.
I should do a game room tour, it's pretty fuckin awesome. 😁 Return of the living dead is the best zombie movie ever made. Saw it in the theater as a freshman in college.
I got quite collection of games myself. I uave been thibking of organizing them into a game room myself, but what's missing from every game room that everyone has is a pinball machine. An arcade can never be complete without a pinball machine!!!
This is a genuinely interesting and cool video, so many like this are boring as fuck and full of people saying how much they’ve spent and bragging about rare stuff they have just because they could afford it. Really cool to see this gent explaining things and going through the sentimental side of things. Sega Lord X - I tip my retro hat to you good sir! Great video! New subscriber right here ✌️
Much respect for being open about your Dad, my pops had an affliction with alcohol as well. He was a good man, until he had a drink. Games did the same thing for me when I was young. A great collection from a great RUclipsr. Love your videos mate 👊
Love the game room tour. I really like how you take old systems and give them new life. As a person who collects and plays old games, I love to see people who repair, save and even modify old video game equipment.
Incredible collection SLX! Thanks for posting this. Very funny to hear you mention about shelf queens. I think it's all relative. Some might say you are exactly that with all your boxed stuff pinned to the wall. Really glad to see the SEGA love. We're brothers from another mother. Keep it up!
Awesome game room tour and Voltron. I've got a diamond belt Voltron sharp tooth variant. Sega Lord X why not change the batteries in Final Fantasy III and Chrono Trigger just in case the batteries leak? It's a quick fix. You fixed up that Frankenstein Saturn real well, I'm impressed!
Great to see more vids, you're on a roll already dude.l had a recent clear out as to much stuff l won't play in the future and have no intention of playing right now.It actually felt invigorating to get rid of them ,problem is l still have way to many games lol. Fab collection you have there btw and nicely organised. Sound advice at the end, it's all about the games you love and not a games overload.
Good advice at the end there, I can't stand game rooms that have 1000's of games that will never get played, just to impress people on youtube or something, If I don't play the game, I get rid of it, I only buy what I will play. Really my advice would be to pick the top 10 games (your own personal top10) for each console you like and start there, thats what I did, that way you have a collection that you really care about.
I try and tell guys not turn game collecting into a pissing contest. It takes away all the passion and feel good memories. You just end up with a bunch of expensive shit on a shelf that you don't play.
Its good to see such comments, i also never tried to collect as much games as possible, at most, i just would buy my most favorite games and thats it.. I also dont kept games from older systems, the moment i switched to a newer system, i usually just sold all the games and just keep the system. Also, this is not meant to glorify piracy, but THANK GOD Everdrives were invented..some of those N64 Cart prices are fucking INSANE.
Yup, I realized that after my first year of collecting. I have since scaled back and am only buying stuff I played as a kid or stuff that I love. 2d fighters and beat em ups mainly. Nice room. I’m a little envious. I wish I still had all of my stuff. Sadly I didn’t see the value in keeping it when I was younger. Now I’m paying through the nose to get it all back
Some of those collectors go beyond the hobby... they actually have a tiny satisfaction followed by guilt (why do i spend all that money on this) just like people who are addicted to gambling.
Love you collection. I use to have a large collection and cut down a few times. Space, moving etc. I regret selling a lot of my stuff. I had almost the entire Atari Jaguar library and a working CD system. All the games came boxed with the shrink wrap still on them. I sold it.
Thank you for this video. I especially liked the fact that you collect what you like or what really matters to you. Too many people collect just for the sake of collecting, but I think that a collection is made of memories and things that matter for us. I couldn't agree more with what you say at the end of the video. Thanks again
Game rooms can be a powerful emotional element in your life. They often are filled with memories that make you feel all kinds of good inside. As you get older, I have found this to be a great, therapeutic place to relax.
Thanks for showing us your marvelous collection. I'm pretty much the same generation as you, had most the Transformer toys, loved gaming. Am a huge Sega fan and still very much into my retro games, something magical about them. Love your work dude, watch all your videos. Keep it up 😎👊👍
Amazing collection SLX, this was something I hoped you were going to do on ver 1.0 of your channel. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again it’s good to have you back on YT :)
I am really happy you are back on youtube. It was sort of like missing one of my friends. I have similar tastes but as far as my love of Ninja Turtles I just have the original comics 1-34. Transformers G1 all the way, mine are all boxed, my favorite has to be Sun streaker. Your video game collection is awesome. I love Nintendo but I'm a Sega fan at heart. You have the original Japanese launch Saturn in box I have the American one plus a NIB Version 2. Hey keep up wit the cool vids!
Nice game room. I only buy games i know ill play, enjoy, and cherish for years to come. I have space issues as well but will never have a stagering amount of games or other collections. Thank you for sharing your passion for video games.
As for me, a person raised in northeastern Saskatchewan, I own a lot of video game consoles from Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft and even Sega. I own consoles such as the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii, Switch, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, the Playstations 1, 2, 3, 4, Portable and Vita, Original Xbox, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Sega Saturn, Sega Dreamcast, RetroUSB AVS, Super NT, Mega SG and even the Neo Geo Pocket and Bandai Wonderswan Color and Crystal. I own a flash cart for my Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, SNES and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive. I burned a bunch of games for my Saturn and Dreamcast, an ODE for my PS1 and a collection of physical games for the rest of my game consoles.
Cool game room tour man! You have some cool stuff and the layout is dope! My game room is pretty much the living room scattered all over the place. lol
I’m glad you shared this. We have a few things in common. One is our love for Sega. The second is our love for G1 Transformers. The next is respect for authoritar, Eric Cartman. Finally, the advice rings true. I own every everdrive and physical copies of games that are important to me.
Nice game room. I'm also a big fan of generation one transformers. I still remember being five years old going to the see the movie when it was released. Great collection X!
Yea, they killed everyone off so quick. I distinctively remember the first time I saw that movie; Star Scream got his foot stuck while attacking Springer and Arcee, I was like "man, is star scream going to die too?" Unfortunately, we all know he was killed by Galvatron later. I was glad when they brought Optimus back in season 2. The Return of Optimus Prime (Hate Plague Series) were my favorite episodes from that season.
Yeah, killing Prime off was a major mistake. They should have just mortally wounded him and had him rebuilt stronger like Megatron/Galvatron. His return was awesome, though.
I really try and stress it. People get into retro gaming and just buy what other people tell them are worth money or hidden gems. Those types of collections don't mean anything but a dollar sign in the end.
Your game room is Awesome your Transformers collection is super cool my father was a alcoholic who was never around so I feel you when you talk about collecting father figures.
The most important item I have is the resident evil gamecube remake. When I got the news that my mother died, I went out and bought that game when it was new.
.... can I have just one Saturn please.... In all seriousness it's a great collection great room envy inducing really lol. I was only half kidding about the Saturn lol.
I don't understand how people can have room for the enormous packing boxes for stuff. Especially arcade sticks and entire consoles. I will admit, I wish I had kept the boxes for my old Windows games from the 90's. Because those were BEAUTIFUL and would have looked great on a wall. I'm talking Tie Fighter, Alpha Centauri, Descent Freespace. I don't know anything console related I would hang on the wall but those...sigh...I miss those.
Wow what a great collection. I have been checking out your Saturn videos because I'm starting to collect for it. I'm used to have one when I was a teenager but it was stolen. My brother gave me one recently. So far I have ordered some of import games.
I love looking at other people's cool toys. 👍😂 Thank you for the tour, it was quite personal and really enjoyable. You really do have some very cool toys too. 👍
Impulse buys trust me I have been there I have literally sold at least 25 action figure collections over the last 5 years and I am now sticking to my passions
This tour was awesome. The Import Saturn collection is amazing. I’m dying to get Einhander on PS1 but it’s over $200, for about $125 I can get a Japanese PS1 and the Japanese version of the game. Perfect excuse to start collecting good Japanese PS1 imports!
A man after my own heart! Thanks for your content as a massive SEGA fan myself. Their arcades really made me love gaming and become an artist and now dev. I need to step up on my collection. Question have you got the Yu Suzuki book that came with the Dreamcast SEGA arcade games disc?
Great room, man! That's the dream! Looks like you have a few Ikea 'Billy' shelves? I found these to be the best option for my setup too. I've curated most of my collection down to that one shelving unit. A tower of good memories. Bought a couple extra shelves to go in and just stacked it full. I found that limiting myself space-wise has helped me stay focused and more responsible with my money.
Indeed. A lot gamers think they should just soak up whatever the hell they can find and that makes a game room. It doesn't. A game room should be full of stuff you care about and love. Otherwise it's just materialism.
Awesome Tour! DLP TV? I have not encountered that. I will take your message at the end to heart! I had a Genesis growing up because my best friend across the street had a snes. It was a good arrangement! Picked up a Dreamcast when I had disposable income while still living at my parents so I baught a tone of games! I like your Sega expertise. I will keep watching!
Fantastic room man! Love the Sega stuff you got. I see you like Transformers, so I wonder do you have the Megatron that transformers into the Mega Drive?
Very admirable collection , personally I wouldn't have as many variations of the same system (a combo of cost and lack of space), although I admire what you did in getting the trashed systems back to working order, we are dealing with essentially a finite resource so if you can get these working, more power to you. Ive heard those Hi-Saturns are better build than the standard Sega ones, though Ive never even seen one in person. I did have that Hori Saturn stick years ago , although it got a little worn out and quite rusty. Although I agree, I generally only collect things I actually want to play or use, and will get rid of games I don't like
I actually recommend that most collectors "purge" their game rooms every so often. Just go through and get rid of stuff you don't care about or play. It often not only makes more room for the stuff you do care about, but also allows you to display that stuff better as well. The Hitachi made Saturn has been bulletproof so far for me. Never had a problem and you gotta love that start up animation.
There seem to be differences in where the Saturns are made, the Japanese models are made in Japan , while the US and European models were made in Malaysia . That may or may not affect the overall build quality (its the same parts at the end of the day) the Hi Saturns use a different CD drive though , one made by Hitachi themselves as opposed to JVC/Victor as used in standard Saturns. I actually wonder if it would be possible to swap out the disc drives between them. Personally I don't even really display my collection , most of it is in drawers and a cupboard , mainly because I don't really see my collection as something to be displayed,
I didn't display anything for the longest time, myself. I moved into a home that had a bit of extra room, allowing me to spread my stuff out a bit. That developed into a small display. I loved seeing my stuff so much, it matured into a game room. There's a sentimentality to it for me. A "feel good" place.
I'm a bit surprised to see a boxed VCS 2600, as I thought you did not like Atari consoles (I don't either). Anyways this is a fantastic game room, no stinkers just for the sake of filling a shelf or some other "so bad is good" collector's nonsense. Your Japanese Saturn collection is incredible. It's also quite rare to see an American owning a PAL game, you must really like Vampire Killer. Great stuff, man!
Thanks. I've really tried to keep my collection limited to stuff I actually love. If I don't truly care for it, I don't buy it and clutter my shelves with it.
Looking at your u.s. Saturn collection don't make me feel too bad lol. For my personal collection to be so small I do have some very collector worthy titles. When at the time I just wanted fantastic arcade ports lol
The story about your dad is what stuck out to me, Watching your videos invigorated my love for Sega again.
if you read this, thank you for being so candid and open about how gaming (and other 80's pop culture) could serve to distract or even as an escape from a hard childhood. I can very much relate to your story. Man, I hope you never stop making videos about Sega. Lets go Streets of Rage 4!! 11 days and counting
I shed a manly, nerdy tear. Awesome room, brother!
Good way to put it
Thank you so much for this tour. I haven't had a happy Monday since 1999 WCW Nitro. You made that possible again.
I'm really glad you enjoyed it.
"It's 2023, make an update of me!" - Your Game Room
Love watching all of your current videos Lord X, so I thought that I'd take a dive into your history, and once again , you don't disappoint.
Your collection is awesome!
And your final advice is very wise.
Great tour, i really envy some of your stuff.
Thanks for the message and I'm glad you decided to subscribe to the new channel. :)
SAME!!
Never thought of reorging my collection. A lot of it is in cabinets and not visible. You got me thinking now.
A couple of open face shelves can do wonders for a game area. :)
snagged several matching duplicate black shelves and stacked em / i'll do a gameroom vid too sometime 😇
Very nice collection! I love that u have personal favorites on display, adds personal value to a room.
Also love love love the way you store the cartridges such a cool way of space saving.
Fantastic space of wonders, dude. Thanks for sharing.
That Castlevania triple combo for the Mega Drive/Genesis... Dayum.
Pride and joy. I absolutely loved Bloodlines.
Bah, not enough 'dirt cheap' games. Ahahahahaha!
SLX has that Crystal Pepsi chillin' back there like a boss.
Loved the tour! The cherry on top for me was seeing those Seinfeld dvds beneath your TV haha
The collection was nice to look at. But in the end got real deep and I respect you for coming out in the public to talk about that said issue in your past. I dont wanna mention it here as it would spoil the video for others. But if you can, please watch this until the end everyone. Great job dude.
Ive seen a ton of game rooms... This is one of my favorites.
Hey man great story on your childhood and I totally understand where you're coming from. More than you know. Kudos for showing that side of yourself like that. Shows how you really dealt with that stuff.
Yeah man, it's a subject that most people don't understand. I mentioned it in the hopes of letting those that do understand know they aren't alone.
I should do a game room tour, it's pretty fuckin awesome. 😁
Return of the living dead is the best zombie movie ever made. Saw it in the theater as a freshman in college.
I got quite collection of games myself. I uave been thibking of organizing them into a game room myself, but what's missing from every game room that everyone has is a pinball machine. An arcade can never be complete without a pinball machine!!!

Old and broken hardware deserve a better life. Their owners relegated them to the trash heap, it was my job to right that wrong.
Incredible collection SLX! Thanks for posting this. Very funny to hear you mention about shelf queens. I think it's all relative. Some might say you are exactly that with all your boxed stuff pinned to the wall. Really glad to see the SEGA love. We're brothers from another mother. Keep it up!
I don't hold any negative opinions of how anyone chooses to collect. Everyone should do what makes them happy.
Thank you for the room tour! Loved seeing everything, especially your SEGA stuff :)
No problem. I'm working on a Saturn arcade stick opinion piece. That'll be up in a few days.
I absolutely needed to shed some parts of my collection. It had become bloated and filled with things I didn't care for. Just shit on a shelf really.
The Return of The Living Dead poster!!!👌🏻
I was impressed before I entered the rest of the game room tour.
Sees SLX’s Saturn collection. Dies of jealousy.
That's 20+ years of dedication. Favorite machine.
Good advice at the end there, I can't stand game rooms that have 1000's of games that will never get played, just to impress people on youtube or something, If I don't play the game, I get rid of it, I only buy what I will play. I agree, so many times people collect to just collect. I had to get rid of a lot of games i just didnt care for.
Also great gaming room.
Its good to see such comments, i also never tried to collect as much games as possible, at most, i just would buy my most favorite games and thats it..

One of the best and entertaining channels on youtube.
Thanks Jose. Appreciate that.
Love you collection. I use to have a large collection and cut down a few times. Space, moving etc. I regret selling a lot of my stuff. I had almost the entire Atari Jaguar library and a working CD system. All the games came boxed with the shrink wrap still on them. I sold it.
Love your posters. ROTLD is one of my fav movies of all time
Thank you for this video.
I especially liked the fact that you collect what you like or what really matters to you. Too many people collect just for the sake of collecting, but I think that a collection is made of memories and things that matter for us.
I couldn't agree more with what you say at the end of the video.

Nice looking room. I hope to get mine all organized and do a tour as well. You inspire me.
Game rooms can be a powerful emotional element in your life. They often are filled with memories that make you feel all kinds of good inside. As you get older, I have found this to be a great, therapeutic place to relax.

Amazing collection SLX, this was something I hoped you were going to do on ver 1.0 of your channel. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again it’s good to have you back on YT :)
I should have done one for the old game room. I always had it planned, just never got to it.
You have an interesting collection and I appreciate the tour. I am usually bored when I watch these but I enjoyed your commentary.
Thanks man. That's exactly why I was so hesitant making it. Rambling on for 30 mins would turn most people off.
I am really happy you are back on youtube. It was sort of like missing one of my friends. I have similar tastes but as far as my love of Ninja Turtles I just have the original comics 1-34. Thank you for the super kind words. I really appreciate it. :)
He said my collection is not to bad I think 🤔 lol. You literally have a game museum. Love it
Nice game room. I only buy games i know ill play, enjoy, and cherish for years to come. I have space issues as well but will never have a stagering amount of games or other collections. Thank you for sharing your passion for video games.

Wow your room is so organized
Haha, it wasn't always. It's been a mess at times.
I like your advice to buy what you really want and care about. Makes a lot of sense
33 minutes 😲 I'll check this out this weekend. Probably a big old shelf of shame with ntsc Saturn cases. 😜
Dude, you should have seen it before I edited the hell out of it. You would have needed an intermission. 😆
Been watching you for a while now. Wicked tour dude!
I too would've loved it if my dad was Optimus Prime...
(Btw, awesome collection ya got there, getting jealous over here)
Just a thing of beauty. Not gonna lie, pretty jealous over here!
Cool game room tour man! You have some cool stuff and the layout is dope! My game room is pretty much the living room scattered all over the place. lol
One of my favorite channels sega 4ever!
I’m glad you shared this. We have a few things in common. One is our love for Sega. The second is our love for G1 Transformers. The next is respect for authoritar, Eric Cartman. Finally, the advice rings true. I own every everdrive and physical copies of games that are important to me.
Best collection I've ever seen on youtube, even compared to the top dogs.
Haha, I don't know about that, but I'm happy with it and that's all that matters. :)
love the FF3 and Chrono Trigger memorials and the reason - great story! sorry for your loss.
MK3 PSone Exclusive? I've got Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on the Saturn PAL isn't it the same?
Now that's a masterful collection. You are a Sega God.
Nice game room. I'm also a big fan of generation one transformers. I still remember being five years old going to the see the movie when it was released. Great collection X!
That movie traumatized me. Seeing my favorite guys killed unceremoniously was shocking to say the least.
Yea, they killed everyone off so quick. I distinctively remember the first time I saw that movie; Star Scream got his foot stuck while attacking Springer and Arcee, I was like "man, is star scream going to die too?" Looks like a record exchange! Definitely jealous!!
U have an awesome collection!! Dont keep stuff u dont want. Perfect setup!! Only the best!!
I don't understand how people can have room for the enormous packing boxes for stuff. Especially arcade sticks and entire consoles.

A really nice gameroom man! Thanx for the Tour. Best regards from Germany. Stay healthy
I love looking at other people's cool toys. 👍😂
Thank you for the tour, it was quite personal and really enjoyable. You really do have some very cool toys too. 👍
Impulse buys trust me I have been there I have literally sold at least 25 action figure collections over the last 5 years and I am now sticking to my passions
That original Japanese Saturn box is awesome!
Indeed it is. The Saturn in Japan was a system done right.
no wonder games and consoles are expensive now, this guys got it all!!
Awesome video. Very inspiring. Especially at the end with the Transformers.
Heck of a collection man!! Just recently subbed and wantedbto check out some videos you did in the past. Awesome content cant wait for more!!
Thank you. Really appreciate the message.
its incredible how long those modded xbox's with xbmc last
should've queued Stan Bush - The Touch when showing the Transformers ;)
This is madness wow...thanks for the tour
Haha, my collection pales next to many. I know guys that have 50x my stuff. Local guy here has 5 copies of Panzer Saga alone. No joke.
would love road rash 3do on the switch, such a fun game
oh LAWD , where were you when I was in high school??
haha seriously though, nice collection dude!
This tour was awesome. The Import Saturn collection is amazing. I’m dying to get Einhander on PS1 but it’s over $200, for about $125 I can get a Japanese PS1 and the Japanese version of the game. Perfect excuse to start collecting good Japanese PS1 imports!
Man wicked collection man! I got a big one as well but got nothing on this ha ha! Good stuff dude! Also a fan of the 80's zombie flicks! Cheers
Thanks man. I've really been trying to keep my game room relevant to what I play and love. I'm shedding the excess.
Fantastic game room man! Thank you for sharing this!
Love yah game room! Wish I had the space to spread out my collection!
Thanks. I didn't have space for a very long time. It took a few different homes to get me to where I could do it. Never say never.
Amazing collection. Super legit. I love your videos. Pleas keep them coming.
Thanks. I have a dozen vids in various stages of completion, so they're coming!
A man after my own heart! Thanks for your content as a massive SEGA fan myself. Their arcades really made me love gaming and become an artist and now dev. I need to step up on my collection.
Question have you got the Yu Suzuki book that came with the Dreamcast SEGA arcade games disc?
No. I picked up YS Game Works disc only.
Fantastic!!!
Now you need a home computer like Amiga,Atari St or MSX and an arcade cabinet with multi games and you are complete!
You have a cab I see better,so skip my second suggestion :)
I like every video you post. Great game room!
Cool stuff Segalord. I liked the Daytona USA on the 360 lol. I just bought an xbox1x yesterday and downloaded that game last night
A must own.
@@SegaLordX I have Nights into Dreams on 360 and PC. Love that game as well. I bought VR Racing for the Switch. I love anything Sega.
(sees massive Nintendo library of games spread across room, then sees one little corner for Sega related games). (cries).
Awesome room, dude! But how about Atari Jaguar?
Thanks for sharing. Looks great. Been enjoying your videos. Found you a couple months ago
Fantastic room man! Love the Sega stuff you got. I see you like Transformers, so I wonder do you have the Megatron that transformers into the Mega Drive?
I do. He has some loose legs that I need to fix, so he isn't displayed atm.
@@SegaLordX What about the Ghostbusters Transformers? Do you have that one?
Nice Game Room, one addition I would suggest is the Mega Drive Megatron in there somewhere. That figure mght be right up your ally.
That may or may not affect the overall build quality (its the same parts at the end of the day)
the Hi Saturns use a different CD drive though , one made by Hitachi themselves as opposed to JVC/Victor as used in standard Saturns.
The Atari is from childhood, purchased by my father. The games as well. I am no 2600 fan. That system is from the dark ages of gaming for me.
A very nice concise collection with some really nice transformers pieces.
Thanks. I've really tried to keep my collection limited to stuff I actually love. If I don't truly care for it, I don't buy it and clutter my shelves with it.
Nice video man, great content, making me inspired for a new game room!
Return of the Living Dead! YES!!
I think If we grew up in the same school, we'd be friends!
Looking at your u.s. Saturn collection don't make me feel too bad lol. For my personal collection to be so small I do have some very collector worthy titles. When at the time I just wanted fantastic arcade ports lol
