Fragile is a masterpiece

I fell in love with this song when I first heard it.
This is my ultimate favorite song by them! Man…
You got thrown in on the deep end of the pool with this song. Nine Inch Nails has a very diverse spread of genres through the years. The stuff from the late 90s and up is much more palatable than The Downward Spiral era was pretty dark.
The Fragile is the best album to start from, for anyone out there who wants songs for when you’re sad and pissed. That album has it. My go to depression-album.

For me NIN is kind of strange anti-depressant. :)

Another look at the line, 'and I still want to ruin it'... Those who have experienced trauma will often actively try to re-create that trauma over, and over again. Kind of like an inverted variety of PTSD in a way.

You should check out Chelsea Wolfe. She does gothic rock, acoustic rock, industrial, electronica, doom metal. I really think you would dig her. Check out "Everything Turns Blue", it came out last month. Awesome song and would be a good intro to her

Nine Inch Nails very 90s
I like NIN, but this is depressing and it got b o r i n g at the end.
NIN is one of those bands that everyone SAYS they like, but no one seems to listen to.
or maybe I'm just projecting.

This song is out of The Fragile which is basically a film score album, even though there's no film, only Reznor's life. You can listen to the songs on its own but it makes way more sense within the whole context of the album.
Do you like music? You didn't bother listening to the beat at all and kept completely still...super weird for anyone reviewing a song...
I have nothing against NIN, or their fans and I'm sure they're all cool people, but every time I try to listen to them, it feels like I'm forcing myself to like them, unpopular opinion for some but at least it's honest. 🤷
Then go listen to 98 degrees or something.
NIN has a lot of great songs but this isn’t one of them.
