Hi Jordan, I just wanted to say I was literally in the exact same position as you last yr. It was my freshman yr at SCU as well and as a neuroscience major I felt like I couldn’t do it in the quarter system. Ultimately, I ended up transferring and it was the best decision for me. I do still miss parts of SCU but just know you are definitely not the only one who feels the way you do. Thinking about you and your tough decision! PS your videos always reminder me of my fun freshman’s year last year 💕

Loved watching this, it was really nice and calming before bed, so thx. 😘
Also, you talking about mental health and going to therapy is really encouraging. I just always feel like I have to deal with my mental health issues by my self. But I might actually tell someone how I’m feeling now.

I was so scared to talk to anyone about it but I’m so glad I did. I think you should definitely try it. It’s so relieving to talk about it in a safe space, I hope you choose to do it!

Hi! I hope you are doing well. I started watching your videos toward the end of last year and was wondering if I had missed an update. I was diagnosed with gluten sensitivity back in 2018; I know people say this is different than Celiac Disease but I was tired of the pain/discomfort and started slowly cutting out gluten before I had my blood test done, which may have altered my test results. Nonetheless, I find your videos to be very informational? I am not sure of the word I am looking for; but I wish I had something like this to watch when I was diagnosed in college.
I wasn't sure of the best way to put this (my anxiety was messing with me). I also dealt with transferring or staying during my spring term of my freshman year. After talking it over with my family, I did decide to transfer due to numerous factors such as not liking how my degree program was being handled, finances (both mine and the school's) and being homesick after my mom was briefly hospitalized (she ended up being okay). At the time I was worried over how people would view my transfer but I felt that I needed to be at a school closer to my home asap - I'm not trying to say your reason(s) are the same just that I understand what it can feel like when deciding to transfer or not.
Recently, I talked with my mom about my undergrad years and she admitted that while it was hard having me be at a school 10+ hours away from home, she knew I needed to leave home for my mental health. I am glad I made the decision to go out of state and I think if finances were good I may have considered staying. What I am trying to say is that whatever you decide should be based on what makes you happy. I lost happiness my senior year of high school and I gained it back when I went out of state, and I am forever grateful for the friends who showed me I can be myself again.
Regardless of what your decision is, I love the content you make and I like the honest chats. Just know there are people out there who have gone through the decision to transfer or are currently thinking about transferring. To you and anyone else: do what makes you happy! You are not alone in this; I know your family will be supportive of your decision. Hope this helps.
P.S. Sorry if this was long.
