Can you connect it to a Bluetooth sound bar for better audio quality ?
I returned mine and left a bad review because the sound was so bad compared to the 1st gen. An Amazon rep just called me to let me know they are aware of a software mistake causing the poor sound and are rolling out a fix now.
It sounds fantastic now. I mean, the volume is limited, but it's putting out high quality sound. Especially for such a small unit. It's got a good DAC

You should try the Lenovo Smart Display. The built in screen just adds so much more features and you can connect it with other Google smart home devices you have so technically you can have more than 1 assistant.
Echo Sounds great. They must have fixed the sound issue you were complaining about. It's certainly not weak on bass and it's sound is detailed. for 100 bucks, it's amazing.

Expect the audio is brilliant really deep base easily fills a room too many of these tech review is get used to the thousand dollar speakers and forget not everyone has that kind of money to throw around the decent audio
You can call anybody from the Echo. You need to latest Alexa app and upload your contacts.

As cool as it is to play music from the echo, not sure why you’d want to unless you owned the rest of the audio set which is damn expensive for the subwoofer and echo dots to fill the rest of the house or apartment

that's because she thought you were talking about a WiFi connection. Amazon clarified this in the past.
I like this speakers sound and bass so if you are complaining you might have a software issue

No, but he said that you can plug it into an existing speaker. Although you can do that with the Echo 2nd generation too.

roguegeek I have the 2nd gen one and had the 1st gen for two weeks then they announced the new one so I sent it back, I don’t think the 2nd gen is as punchy it has a lot of treble and not as much bass as the 1st gen and the treble masks the bass when turned up and doesn’t sound great I think I will be returning and getting the plus

@Paul c there was a review of echo plus stating that it's speakers were inferior to Amazon Echo 1st Gen.
There have supposedly been updates to the second generation and plus to improve the sound since launch. I don’t have either, only the first gen, so I don’t know how it sounds for sure.

Well, the viewers can mute their Echo products. It's very simple.

echo plus actually has worse quality than the original echo 2nd gen. I just heard it in another review. Might want to revise and check that.echo plus has a more hollow lower quality sound from what I could tell in the review.

What's the point in this?
The whole point is to make a better housing environment. And smart home devices actually do help. You should try and get a Lenovo Smart Display, the built in screen just gives so much more features than any other smart home devices.
