Ooh what a good topic for me for today. I have just decided to have additional Flex added to a pilot Falcon by a nib meister.

This was an excellent discussion. I was truly lucky to be able to get 6 pens done in my time slot. Biggest thing I could suggest is let them know your goal. So I sat down and said… I would love to get all these done, but these 3 are the priority. They finished my priority pens and I had time left, so they agreed to do my others.
So like y’all said numerous times… communication is key!

I was so new when I sent pens through the mail for custom grinds. Thankfully, I knew the importance of using a reputable nibmeister and filling out the form accurately for me and my preferences.
When it came to writing angle, I didn't know what to put...25 years of experience? That wouldn't be helpful, so I did some writing, then froze in position and had my son position a protractor on the paper so that I could actually see the angle I was using for writing.
It took 3 months to receive my pens/nibs back but it was worth it. Those grinds are still some of my favorites. I'm so glad I took the extra time to figure out the little details that make them work well for me!

Great show! I'm about three years into this rabbit hole and have recently discovered my favorite grind is an Architect and Naginata like nib. It seems all of the nibmeisters have their own take on a variety of nibs and even though I like a particular grind, not all the nibmeisters will grind it to what I like. My guess is I spend way more at pen shows on custom grinds than I do on pens....maybe. Thank you for all you do.
