aint gonna lie, for the general population out there ima say the 4070 series is the best bang for ur buck; it rly has the best price to performance ratio. idk about it being a mid range card cuz if anything, the 4080 and 4090 r the tru “ultra high end” cards while the 4070 series sit around the “High End” for sure.
Good work mate. I went for the Hyte Y70 case for the touch screen and very good cooling, the 14900k CPU with 64 gig of ram at 6000 hz and the Suprim 4090 GPU with 4k 144 hz monitor which I can max out in most games easy, I love it. This PC is a beast and should last at least 5 years. PS ; I am not going to say the cost, but you only live once, cheers.
One of the best series explaining the difference between various components, especially useful for someone like me who is technoligically challenged. Thank you for your excellent productions
Thanks for the video. I’m an avid tech user but I’ve been out of the realm of PC since the 9800 GTX days and it’s good to get a refresher before considering going into investing into a 4K gaming rig you made this very easy to understand and what choices I need to make thank you very much.
I'm looking to buy a new gaming pc after 7 years. And yes, I will buy it pre-biuld because I don't want the hassle. My pc was a monster 7 years ago and now I can still play comfortably modern games in 1080p but it's time to upgrade. My point is: I'm a bit lost after not following the market for a few years, but your video was very comprehensive and to the point! I know that "bigger number = better" but you showed me what would be overkill and I thank you for that. Great video!
hey bro! I’m looking to get my first gaming pre built pc. I will try building my own in a few years… for my first pc for Christmas is this a good pic ? :- AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 16GB NVIDIA RTX GeForce RTX 4070 Super 12GB Thanks for any help!!
@@glennstewartx Hey, that looks like a solid choice! The Ryzen 7 5700X and RTX 4070 Super should handle pretty much anything you throw at it, especially at 1440p or 4K. 16GB of RAM is perfect for gaming too. If you're planning to build your own in the future, this is a great starting point to see what kind of performance you like. Just make sure to check reviews for the pre-built you're looking at, so you get the best value for your money. Enjoy the build and good luck!
I got the rtx 4070 super for 1080p high refresh rate gaming. To be honest, i love the card since it's not overkilll and i know i can get high fps in every games at that resolution.
looking to do video editing and 3D work, should I spend more on a 4070 Ti Super for the 16 GB VRAM, or stick with like a 4070 super? was considering the 4060 16gb, but the overall power of that card seems rather lackluster imo.
I would say avoid 4060, its low processing capabilities will bottleneck your workflow as you progress. The 4070ti's added 4gb of memory provides a great buffer and of course it has more C cores so generally it will help queit a bit.
Got me a 4070super for my nvidia pc. I think it’s a great card. I am not having too much issues at 1440p and ray tracing with 12 gigs vram. I can even do path tracing in cyberpunk and Allen wake 2. But Allen wake 2 I turn it off for better performance. I have 7900xt for my main pc but I feel like the 12 gig will be fine for few years as long as people remember to adjust settings. At $600 it should have had 16 gigs tho
I already stated this is not a benchmark annlysis video, that was one game out of 100's for refrence. There are plenty of modern games that exceed 60fps @4k on a 4080.
No one ever, said they got enough performance and don’t want more. Get as high end card as you can, preferably 4070 Super looks also to be good value. Don’t skimp on VRAM either, for 1440p should be good with 12GB, but for any higher you need 16GB VRAM guys. Also don’t get stuck with needing to use Ultra settings for everything, Ultra settings are only marketing to sell the cards. Usually High settings + only RT reflections are indistinguishable from Ultra RT and you get way higher performance. 😊
Great advice! I definitely concur about high vs ultra settings. Even RT is not always a game changer, it depends on the game and how well they utilize it. In some cases playing with RT off makes a nominal difference in visual appeal where by others its a dramatic change.
I currently have a 7800XT on my gaming rig and prefer it to the 4070. With that said lots of people buy Nvidia so this video was menat as a gudie to help anyone who may be intrested. Thanks for watching!

Amd one would be appreciated along with a list of comparable Nvidia cards (by price/performance)
Hey, for sure. Likely will make the AMD guide for early spring, stay tuned.
Man, he didnt even show us all the individual cuda cores one by one and name them. Literally unwatchable.
Jokes aside, thanks for making this
Haha you got me there 😆
$600 for a 12GB 192-bit bus "midrange" card. Which is like 5 times as good as a Steam Deck. A lot of things really feel "off" there!
Yup thats the world of technology for ya!

Thank you! Your 4090 will last you for the years to come that is for sure!
This should have more views, well explained, not annoying dialogue (very captivating) and very informative
Thanks for watching :)

Thanks bro, solid guide and easy to understand. As a newbie to buying a PC I’m overwhelmed with the models and variants. This has helped a lot!
Glad I could help

Great informative video, simple and easy. Please also make a video on laptop GPU's.
Thanks for watching! I will try to cover it in the future :)

Glad you think so!

A lot of people end up using the 4070 for FHD gaming and it makes sense too. It dominates frame rates at 1080p for sure!
Is a standard 4060 good for non triple A gaming and video editing on a 1440p monitor?
Thanks you for good reviews
My pleasure!
Went with the biggest and best 4080 super. The asus strix! Let's goo!

Maybe look at the 7800xt? It has 16gb of vram but I'm not sure how AMD performs in video editing compared with Nvidia. Something worth looking into!
I’d suggest AMD GPUs for 3D stuff

Hey so I’m thinking the 4070 super, currently have the 3060 TI but most my games have a drop in fps when I go to 2k gaming. Is 4070 best option ??
The 4070S is a visible jump from the 3060ti and would be helpful at 1440p for sure
@@SoulOfTech sweet! Now my question is I have a i7 10700k, should I upgrade that too?
@@Juggernut6969Idek what this rtx stuff is is 4070 the best for laptop gaming?
Why would you recommend a high refresh rate 4K monitor for the 4080 while having the benchmark barely break 60
I already stated this is not a benchmark annlysis video, that was one game out of 100's for refrence. There are plenty of modern games that exceed 60fps @4k on a 4080.
@@SoulOfTech It's not about the benchmark it's just silly because you get a disconnect from what you hear and what you see XD

right on.
I would have loved a video on the much misunderstood Integrated Graphics, especially the Intel Iris Xe
Noted!
Good stuff
Bought the 4060. (I’m broke)
Appreciate it
I rather support the gpu underdog platforms, the Radeon and Arc platforms. Nvidia don't need any more marketshare.

I ordered the RTX 4070 super. Thoughs?!
For 2k resolution gaming you will be good for a while.
Can you please do an AMD version?
Hey, I plan to release an AMD explainer sometime in the near future. Stay tuned!
4070 is not mid range. Its equivalent is the 3080 and even the 3080 for 1440p is amazing. 4070 is high range card
It’s midrange in relevancy to the current generation 4000 series cards.
time to run 4090 on 1080...
4090 or nothing...
next video idea comparison between amd gpus
