Hello Catherine :) I have to echo what Kristoffer R said. Seeing videos like yours are great anti-depressants. As a Tucson, Arizona resident, I thank you for taking the time to travel down here, and do an amazing video on what Tucson has to offer. I can only hope that you will capture more of Arizona as you move SouthEast in your next Sunday video. I am really looking forward to your whole series :)
Serene, calming, tranquil. Thank you so much for sharing this unique natural beauty with us. And thank you for sharing your artistic gifts of photography and video.
Wonderful video! It reminded of my home as a kid. We lived in Tucson near the Rincon Mountain district of Saguaro National Park on the east side of town. It was a National Monument back then. I've lived in California for years but I really miss the Sonoran Desert. And I'm sure you discovered that you just can't beat an Arizona sunset. Continued safe travels.
Very stark but beautiful in it's own way. I loved the opening shots of clouds.( one I thought looked like a lady with a head covered and hands reaching out) and the use a a star filter was a nice addition.
I went to Arizona once 18 years ago, I fell in love with it and never left. Something magical about the whole state of Arizona. I'm loving your photography and the music you're picking. If you're out this way and can catch the Grand Canyon after a snow storm, I can just say WOW! You won't be disappointed. Keep up the great work
Omg! I love this hike!! Have hiked it many times with my best friend. We always called it the Yetman house and imagined what it would be like to have it as our home. I always wondered what it would be like to sleep there overnight. My friend is gone now and I've moved to the other side of the country. That place is forever ingrained in my mind. I knew where you were the minute you stopped with your camera, as I have done multiple times lol! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to explore it once more 💖 Have a wonderful journey ✌🏻
Due to finances, I can not travel to these wonderful places. Thank you for sharing your fantastic videos, which allows me experience them from my home, and dream of being there someday?
Catherine, I broke my ankle on 12/10 and all my trips had to be cancelled as well. Thank you, from Phoenix, AZ for bringing your trips to me. You and your nieces vids. have become even more valuable to me than before my broken ankle, not to mention some of your other followers that have other needs and disabilities. I visit Saguaro National Park East and West often and have lots of pics. of those same petroglyphs. Be safe and again, thank you for taking us with you.
Lived in AZ for ten years. Each 'arm' on a Saguaro cactus can take seventy-five years to grow. They are incredibly dense and heavy. If you brush up against a 'jumping' cactus the cacti balls will fall on you. The hollow spine will fill with blood immediately and are almost impossible to pull out, because of the reverse barbs. On one rare occasion I saw a Gila monster. Beautiful but deadly. If they bite you, their jaws will lock and then they turn upside down to drain poison into you. Now, wasn't that pleasant..lol!!
Our first glimpse of Catherine at work along the trail. Here is how the magic is captured people, but it feels strangely invasive like watching a magician pack their overcoat with ribbons or their top hat with a rabbit. No matter, her walk up to the rock art in Saguaro NP brought me back into the fold. Explore on, Cat.
I've always loved traveling been driving truck now 35 years! I take yearly vacations 2 and 3 weeks at one time just traveling an area. On my calendar this year is the great state of Montana It's a beautiful state, last year was AZ incredible state !
nice shots, I was there in 2007 ,when they were in bloom its amazing , when one looks at them with their arms and the fact it takes 50 + years to grow the first one .
greetings my husband and i travelled in various rvs (including a lance truck camper) for 17 years fulltime but had to settle down about 10 years ago. having travelled along the I10 route many times, we would like to recommend the following state parks which have some special feature, even if only for 1 night: tx- balmorhea sp, south llano river, sf austin; la- sh jones sp, fontainebleau; fl- falling waters sp. we thoroughly enjoy your videos because of the scenery, hikes, and your wonderful attitude. keep up the good work.
Hello Catherine we hope all is well ? Arizona sure does look pretty, Tuscon Mountain park is somewhere where we would love to go and see, the views look spectacular. thank you so much for sharing your video with us, Take care my friend Keep safe . Love and Light Sarah and Glenn
I love your videos, they are very well made, I ride my assault bike as you hike the trails.🚲🏞 Thanks for your great work. Stay safe and happy hiking. 🧔
Gosh, sunday morn in Colo. with fresh snow.. Sitting by my window with coffee , taking a tour through saguaros! Thanks for another beautiful videp Cat! ( just to short...)
Loved it thanks for all you do, and share we appreciate all you do. We also watch Chad from Living The Van Life, people also questioned him about his videos. He made a video just to show all the hard work, setting camera, and the going back to pick it up. We never ask, we know it’s lots of work. We love you, and your one of our favorites on You Tube. Grateful for you, and your channel, thank you for bringing joy into our lives...🤗❤️
I loved seeing the glyphs, especially that beautiful spiral. It’s so fascinating to contemplate the stretch of human history. Imagine what the world view was of these artists...filled with awe and mystery, and so connected to their environment.
I'm really liking your videos 👍. You've really upped your game with the cinematic quality and music. Always looking forward to your next adventure. 😎🍺👌
My wife and I just traveled down that road in November on our way east across the south. Had a great stop in Tucson, but this time only visited friends there. Next time, we want to get out in the desert to visit those parks you showed. Enjoyed the difference in camera work with your personal videographer there, too. Thanks. Very beautiful country.
Beautiful and warm looking. Good to see you are back on the road. If you are traveling via I-10 to Florida consider stopping at the Atchafalaya basin in Louisiana (Lafayette is good stopping place on I-10 just before the basin) Atchafalaya National Heritage is a good place to look for trails, consider renting a canoe if you can. Get some gumbo while you are in the area - try Hebert's Boudin and Cracklins in Breaux Bridge, LA (just a few miles east of Lafayette). While in Florida you should consider Fanning Springs State Park on the Suwannee River.
Hi Catherine😊😊🌵🌵, I'm so excited for your southern road trip. The hikes in Sagauro National Park and Tuscon Mountain Park were SPECTACULAR. It was great to follow along with you. Looking forward to next Sunday to see what's next. This was a great video Catherine👍👍👍.
How beautiful! If you pass through Texas, check out the Davis Mountains. They are so quiet. That part of West Texas has Guadalupe Mountain NP and Big Bend, as well...maybe you already know that. Thanks for letting us follow along!!
Along the way Catherine, you should buy yourself some silver & turquoise jewelry... It seems your wanderings drag me into my own. This year I plan on some extended trips both with my Jeep over-landing, and riding my Harley. I have three trips Montana & Wyoming, and one to the SW, Arizona & New Mexico. I’m into mining history, and want to get down into Bisbee & Silver City. Hopeful in the early Spring... Thanks again for showing us these beautiful places! Blessings and safe, healthy travels. Randall
Hi Catherine , i"ve lived in east phoenix for 45 years now and visit southern arizona every winter. One of my favorite places to hike is in the catalina mts. around northern tucson. I wanted to advise a fantastic mountain range you just have to visit if your going via route 10 across the state. Just before the new mexico border are the Chiricahua mts. In the Coronado national forest. The most unusal rock formations in the state. They have a fantastic little camp ground called Bonita camp ground you will love. love your hikes and videos.
Love the diversity of Arizona. Again great photography. Only wish , because a lot of your viewers may not ever get a chance to visit Az , that you had explained more of the fauna such as the prickly pear cacti, and the terrible spines of the Cholla Cacti ( sometimes called the jumping cholla ). Their prickles are known to even penetrate the soles of your boots ; very hard on bike tires and pets paws. Enjoy your trip , as I know us viewers certainly will.
☕☕☕☕......good start!!!!! Great mix of scenery and music!!! Not used to seeing you hiking with the tripod and camera lol. In my opinion...you know you are making great videos....because when they end I am saying " But wait......is that the end already? I want more. "
Okay, last one. Not too far from Tucson, I think the most incredible hike (which I've yet to do), which experienced hikers rave about, is Heart of Rocks Loop in the Chiricahua Mtns.
Welcome to my home, Catherine. It isn’t a pretty time of year. I think early May is though when everything has greened up, the Paloverde trees bloom yellow in abundance, cacti are blooming and there are wildflowers. The saguaro, that bloom a little later, are looking puckered from the poor Monsoon and lack of Winter rains. There is a sweet spot SE of Tucson in Miller Canyon in the Huachuca Mountains that is a quiet place to camp on Coronado National Forest. There is a perennial stream I get water from that rushes in spring from snow melt but is quiet now. Good hikes and the Arizona trail is nearby. It is the hummingbird Mecca of the U. S. I’ll be there tomorrow for a couple days. Gonna be chilly! Glad you got to enjoy the area, Catherine.
Great start to the journey! I wish I had spent more time in Arizona, it is a beautiful state. Glad you got to show me more of it. I have to say I was expecting more from the black magic camera with regards to quality but it may have been because the sun was behind you. Thanks for sharing Cat
Arizona rules! It's my favorite state. Thanks for another great video! Also, thanks for posting a list of your gear as I need a good tripod. Stay well!
I really liked the segments you did with your photographer friend. His moving camera shots really added to the realism of the hike! Be sure to thank him/her for us!
Catherine you seem very genuine so i decided to subscribe to follow your journey.
Safe travels.
Thank you so much!
Videos like this is the best treatment for anxiety.

Beautiful locations, I'm going. Thanks for sharing.
THANK YOU. ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS ARE GREAT. THE LIGHTING YOU CHOOSE AND YOUR ANGLES AS WELL NEED NO TUNING.✌
Very stark but beautiful in it's own way. I loved the opening shots of clouds.( one I thought looked like a lady with a head covered and hands reaching out) and the use a a star filter was a nice addition.
Beautiful photography, very relaxing. Thank you.
We need this especially right now!
