    This is such a detialed and amazing video (using this as revision for my gcses rn). Just wanted to point out a possible idea on “he carried his own low temperature always about with him”, i think the word “carry‘ also implies that Scrooge has the capacity to take off this ‘burden’ and capacity to be kind (which is similar to ‘as solitary as an oyster’)

    Hello, thanks very much on this, just quickly brushing up on a couple of extra ideas for tomorrow. I do have a suggestion for “misanthropic ice”. When water turns to ice it is known to expand. This metaphorical idea of an expansion of the “anti-social” element in society may be prophetic by Charles Dickens, highlighting the growing levels of greed in society what with the growing social divide in the hungry 40s. This could be an implicit attempt by Dickens to incorporate an aspect of fear into his overarching concluding message of the need for charity and kindness in future society, implying to us the “if this doesn’t happen” side of his argument. I’m aware of the extremely loose connections in this one, but something to chew on perhaps.
    Good luck tomorrow all!

    Hi Stacey, just wanted your videos are amazing and your analysis is so in-depth.
    I previously used some of your videos for love and relationships; I never managed to revise the flashcards for them, so am hoping to use this to revise for an upcoming assement I have.

    • @staceyreay
      @staceyreay  6 лет назад +2

      It can. Boosting your grade comes from the ability to analyse language in depth and link to context 😀

    Thanks so much for these quotes, I have just had a question about the ogre linking to Cain and Abel, how does that exactly link to scrooge directly? Do we have to mention J.R.R Tolkiens definition?.

    Thank you very much this is saving my grade but do you think we have to write all of these in points in order to get a high grade as I feel it’s too much to fit into the time?
    If I only included half of these points and wrote them is great detail would that be enough ?

    • @staceyreay
      @staceyreay  6 лет назад +1
