I am too. I usually find it’s easier to use a sticky blank white plate I ordered online to place it above the plates as I work. Then take it off when done.

a sticker can also be used as a 'censor' - its usually more obtrusive than the blur method shown here but there are some 'smoke' ones that provide a darkening effect.. but may not be enough. would be good to have some new stickers made especially for this kinda thing.

You need to convert your 1st mask into a coumpound clip (right click with your mouse to find the option) and then you can add another mask and so on...

So after a day of messing around with the app….I figured it out.
- Highlight your overlay
- on your bottom section setting, tap “layers”
- it brings you to the “arrange layers” section
- highlight the overlay that you are trying to blur and do it this way
