Thanks for sharing the great content 👍👍
Nice! Well needed quality of life feature! 😀👍
Neat Lejla! Every improvement is welcome!
Finally some improvement in UI:)
Some very welcome improvements. Proper mapping management goes a long way to avoiding errors. Now we only have to ensure that every generic model is actually properly categorised or mapped, so we get rid of most of the proxy elements. And speed improvements are also good. Anything to help people to get the work done and not avoiding IFC model sharing.
I think it is Awesome !
Any chance the "Container Selection" will be implemented on Revit 2024? then it will be just "wunderbar" 🙂
👏👏👏
Great tutorial, Can this help for Export to arcgis and get rid of loss data?
Thanks for your comment, not sure what you mean by loss data? In general, IFC 4.3 is more suitable for infrastructure projects and supported by ArcGIS - I suggest testing it out!
Hello Lejla , very nice video. Do you maybe know if there is any way to overide materal on revit elements by instance. We have a general issue in the MEP space where the system elements are exported with system colors, but fittings and accesories are exported with their solid colors. I can always idenity an ifc that was exported from revit when i see grey fittins on pipes and ducts.
Thank you for your comment! This is a very common request and it's a bit complicated becausethe system color is basically "just" a filter in Revit and not a real material. I don't think the solution should be to override the actual materials, but more the representation / color in IFC. I know the Revit IFC Team is looking into this and I hope we'll have a solution for this soon (though of course, can't promise anything) 🤞
About the live documentation, it would be nice which section has been updated so we can filter the updates. Do you know any plan from Autodesk about it?? Thanks in advance and for the great video
When you go to autodesk.ifc-manual.com/ you'll always find the updated articles listed on the first page - does this help? Or do you mean like a more detailed list of all changes?
@@BIMmeup That helps! but I meant actually the list of all updates for the documentation... so we can just check the list quickly. I think this will be very useful!!
Still waiting for a way to choose doors and windows relations with rooms for ifc export
Could you please add a comment / provide info in the Github discussion? Thank you! 🙏 github.com/Autodesk/revit-ifc/issues/91
Great!
I need the Shared Reference Point for Revit 2025 Extension for collaboration with Civil 3D. When will it be available?
Should be available soon, as with all new releases, the plugins and additional tools take a bit longer! Have you tried linking DWG in Revit and then acquiring coordinates with the Revit built-in functionality? It‘s another way of coordinating between Revit and C3D.
FYI; I just noticed the Shared Reference Point for Revit 2025 in the Autodesk Account on manage.autodesk.com! :)
Great!!! I download it immediately. Thanks!
