Oh wow. Your Dad was my neighbor when I first moved to Nashville about 26 yrs ago and such a sweet man. Will always remember “I lost my wife at a Walmart store”. 😊 He was so excited about getting to do this video.
One of my favorite songs ever. From one of my top 10 country musicians ever. Tracy has the country sound that I love. It's the snarl. Conway Twitty had it. George Strait has it going on too. The growl!
Ah, this was my senior year of high school. I grew up in the decades of new wave, punk rock and grunge, when I saw this video at a friends house it really hit home to what I was going through at the time emotionally. Tracy opened my ears to the country music genre, and I had the pleasure of meeting him in 1999 upon his visit to Eureka, California (I actually owned a cowboy hat at the time he autographed for me). One of the nicest fellas in country I've ever met and I'm glad after all these years to have stumbled across this video!
Omg mine too! Senior year.,,I was working in subway and my manager used to play country in the store and when I first heard this song,,,I fell instantly in love!! Oh the memories!
That's awesome! When I lived in Oshkosh Wisconsin he was playing at that grand opening of the newly renovated Lambeau Field in Green Bay...and my dumbass got on the highway when 2 semis and 2 busses were coming...almost ran me over....I looked at the name on them and it said Tracey Lawrence, Nashville Tennessee...told my girlfriend at the time that was awesome! We almost got killed by Tracey Lawrence lol...no lie
This is one of my favorite Country Music videos! Tracy Lawrence knows what real country music should sound like! I miss those days when Country was COOL!! Love this song!❤❤❤
This song was a hit the summer of 1996, so you did exist at that time. Unfortunately you were probably being indoctrinated by Barney. That psychotic dinosaur caused the problems with your generation. I love you you love me _____uality.
Man, Did this song ever hit home when it came out! I went through everything in the song back in the 1980s when I was a real cowboy. I traveled the circuit, from everywhere like the Pendleton Round-Up to the Calgary Stampede. I met a lot of women, but a few always stand out, and one of them I was with for three and a half years. Ah, she would be the woman in this song who shattered my heart! She left me standing in the middle of the road watching her drive away... God, I'm getting too old for this shit. Reminiscing about how strong, and fast, and tough, and terrific I was doing all sorts of athletic things is just depressing now! I guess I'll just take another nap...!
I saw tracy a few years back and at the end he threw out his sweat towels and i caught 2 of them still have them this day going to see one of his concerts this july. Country still lives on with tracy god bless you
Years go by but look where we all seem to gather. A great country singer can unite a lot of folks. Luv u Tracy, please keep doing what u do best and SING my friend!!!!!
so youve had your gf take a sack of at stuff and then drop u off only to leave you and that sack you williing you letting her drive up, around and u turm just to have the videographer sit beside you???
Let them wear their fancy cloths and walk the red carpet. You don't need it. You laid it for them. They cant shine your boots when it comes to music. Keep tearin it up out there your loved by so many. You paved the way for them. Thanks for sharing this
We might be here at this moment because of jelly roll but Tracey Lawrence is a country music legend my favorites are paint me a Birmingham, find out who your friends are, time marches on, front porch
I am not talking about his recent stuff. Heck, even George Strait's music nowadays is pop influenced. The late 80's was the beginning of the end of what I consider to be country music. If you ever want to talk country music, you know where to find me.
Late 70's were the beginning of the end of Country...it took George Strait and his Western Swing to bring the country back for a while...or have you forgotten Barbara Mandrell singing "I was Country (when country wasn't cool)"
I hate people who criticize modern music for simply not being like the good ol' days. Being a fan of modern rap or modern punk for example, is very difficult. Though, I can always agree that country will never ever be like the good ol' days. This is where country peaked. God bless Tracy Lawrence.
I sang this on stage and the audience were shocked later on since it was the #1 country hit of the week and Bobby was already singin it...i can see The waitresses swaying their butts as they walk around serving drinks... my prize after getting off the stage was a hearty applause and invitation from 2 fat ladies to sit at their table to “party” later on... i politely declined..
Tracy no one in country music today can hold a candel to you. You keep talking about Keith Whitley being a legend. Sir so are you. To heck with CMA awards and Justin timberlake you don't need to be on that. You have paid your dues and made your mark in my opinion. And better than anyone.
wow nice. . . . . i was in a country band in the 70's and today i sing a lot country songs on karaoke and also at home. most of it is on youtube. i heard this one for the first time tonight -- at a bar on long island. everyone was singing country stuff. i intend to give it a try!
I love you always ❤and this song Tracy Lawrence your fan always Bonnie Christoff Va.Beach Va your country girl friend. ❤❤for ever and ever. My country boy Cowboy always.
So happy to see this video! My Dad is the old man in the blue pick up. We lost him about 15 years ago.
Where is the video shot at?

@@jfryza That I am not sure, but believe it was close to Nashville, as he never mentioned having to travel for it. Thanks
@@belindaward4226 Thanks for the reply. Sorry about him passing away. He played the part very well.
Real fucking country music! God bless him! One of the most underrated country singers ever.
Agree. I really like him. Paint me a Birmingham is my all time fave
One of my favorite songs ever. From one of my top 10 country musicians ever. Tracy has the country sound that I love. It's the snarl. Conway Twitty had it. George Strait has it going on too. The growl!
Always loved this song. The video was shot at Huffs Grocery in Burwood, TN, a small country community between Franklin and Columbia.
Jelly Roll said this is the country song,😮 that he no matter what he's doing,he has to listen to it! It tickles his bones!
I married a cowgirl she's got the house she's got the kids and all I have is a broken heart still one of my favorite songs this is a classic
God I miss this kind of country music.
I absolutely second this... today's country has no soul

I'm here because Jelly just reminded me how strong this song is and how anyone can relate to the premise of the song.
I didn’t get it.
I was born in 1995 and I think this is real country. Never will be the same I wish I could’ve been around back then
Damn u make me feel old
I was born in '84
It was a different world back then. Maybe your generation can help bring some of that back. I miss it too m.

It looks like to me 155 people don't know what true country music is all about
God "Blessed Texas"!
I think this song means . She broke his heart his sprit . And left him all alone . How A Cowgirl Says Goodbye
This is how country music should be sung.
Love this song... The Real Deal
Real country. Stuff today is a joke. Great music
Sure enough

The majority of what is considered "country" music as of today.
+Brittany B have you ever thought that maybe they dont want to.
Really I thought it was heavy metal 🤭

Joshua Weikleenget shit the 2000s were the end of good country well the really good stuff anyway
Joshua Weikleenget Texas country is ok these days, not Nashville tho, nothing compares to 90's country and Red Dirt
