  • Yesterday I dropped half a glass of water in my keyboard.
I was to impatient to let it fully dry on the heating.
So I actually used a hairdryer, but overdid.
So be carefull or better not use a heating fan on such a keyboard because the result was my space-key got stuck every third to fifth time.
There was a solution needed: I dissamsembled they keyboard and fixed the issue.
    See yourself!

Oh, I only had to do that much because I tried to dry it with a hairdryer and the space key bent... 😫

The video was quite helpful. It had so many screws. I was trying to pry it open with 3 screws still in place before watching the video.

One caution, there are 2 screw lengths used; shorter screws to be used in the edge away from monitor else it can cause minor damage

Can't believe you didn't snap the keys by pulling them up like that, good job

I was very cautious in the beginning. Especially with them. But found out they are very flexible. I took my time.. two and a half hours. It's always good to do such things, when you are not in a hury!

"Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 2000 is not Bluetooth compatible and the receiver donlge is paired at the factory. So there is no option to buy a replacement receiver dongle to pair the keyboard."
Did you loose it or is it broken? There are tutorials in the net for repairing broken dongles.
