Honestly,I've lived quite a while, almost blown my ears out on all kinds of music (mainly heavy!),and it's taken until now (belatedly), to find the PERFECT artist. WT and the exquisite Sharon are so vastly underrated it's NUTS!! All you fans out there,talk the band up whenever you can - spread the word about the most beautiful and talented woman God EVER created!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sharon's voice has improved massively during last 2-3 years. I remember some older concerts where she had to struggle with some tones and make a little compromise in some songs.. but recently she has become incredible, she can pull off things like this (The Promise) with studio-quality voice and melody, if not even better :)
While I was listening to this I was also watching an aerial fabric (dancing) performance on the side, and they worked together so beautifully, Within Temptation should get aerial silks if they ever come back to this type of music (the video was: Aerial Fabric-Rain Anya and Amy Christian-Circus Luminous 2011 if you are interested).

Why can't she sing high notes, it sounds like she's got a soar throat!! :( She could sing really high in this song during the mother earth tour....... But still amazing performance by an amazing band!
Cameron Chung she talked about this in a interview. she had been in bed with the flue until 1 Day prior to the concert (they were seriouly considering to cancel the show at that point)when she finally started to feel better. however her sinnuses where still clogged at the time of the concert.
This song is fantastic! I'm a fan of Within Temptation and I love all their albums, but Mother Earth is and will always be something special for me. It was the first record by WT I had listened to. This performance is flawless. Sharon has an incredible, powerful and at the same time angelic voice. Perfection!
