Yo im a freshman too, well now sophomore.. but this is just the type video ive been looking for all year I wanted to find someone the same age as me to see what home schooling is like for them because my anxiety for school is so bad I really would benefit from the at home experience I just dont know what program to use and and scared about it being difficult especially if I need one on one help. Wow great video I’m just glad I found someone that’s homeschooled like me I’ve always been homeschooled and it’s hard making friends but now I’m in a group that’s called 4-h I’m a sophomore in high school and homeschooling really an’t that bad you get to get up when ever you want but like you I have a schedule!!!!! I loved your video! How long have you been homeschooled? How involved are your parents with your schooling? Do you get lectured on any subjects or is it just assignments and reading? I am thinking about homeschooling my son. He will be a freshman this fall, and we are moving to Florida (they have a horrible education system) and he is very mature for his age and I dont want him to hate it like I did. lol I would have loved to have been home schooled for high school. Do you enjoy being home schooled?

I think once you start easing into homeschooling, it get sluice easier! I’m just about done with sophomore year right now, and that’s almost a month before the public school kids from where I’m from! I even work 3-4 times a week now, it’s really easy tbh
I’m currently a sophomore in high school! And taking college classes, I also use teaching textbooks! I’m currently doing geometry

It's so nice seeing that a homeschooled child can, in fact, be "normal". There's so much fear-mongering when it comes to homeschooling. Were you always homeschooled? If not I'm curious when you started? I'm debating on if I should homeschool my son.
For the most part I’ve been homeschooled since like fist or second grade. I’m planning on making a video soon about my schedule because it’s very different now because I take classes at home and at the highschool. And I’m also a very social person which helps me make friends. If your son can talk to people you have nothing to worry about. But you should also have him involved with at least one or two things with interaction because it’s a very important skill to have.

Thanks!! I used Videoleap for part of the edit and CapCut for the other half. if I were you, I would just use CapCut because Videoleap cost me like 80 bucks and it wasn’t worth it.

Yes/no it’s nice to be homeschooled the only thing is sometimes you can feel bored or lonely if you don’t get out of the house

So I don’t know where you live but usually you can find a program that offers that sport if you watch my new video you’ll see I run track for my high school
i might consider home schooling as it relates to sports. i’m not sure if home schooling takes less time from me compared to public schools.
It depends on what you use for school. Some people I know it only takes them like 3-4hrs to get everything done. While other people it takes them a full school day
I just started homeschooling this year (I’m in 10th grade btw) and I’m using masterbooks since it’s my first year. What homeschool programs do you suggest for a new language (I take Spanish) or just curriculum in general?
Umm good question I really don’t know sorry😭 I use classical conversations for my curriculum and then for math I use teaching textbooks, but I used to use Saxon

That’s a hard question I’ve only used one I use a program called classical conversations it’s a bit more challenging but it’s good! And for math I used use Saxon but I switched to teaching textbooks I can understand it way more

Well.. it’s different for everyone. My math is online and so is science everything else is through a program called Classical
conversations in total I have 6 subjects. That’ll be exciting hope this some how helped you

Beginning of the year 6 later in the yr 7-8and I go to bed at 10-11
does anyone have tips for trying to convince/bring up the potential for me to be homeschooled to my parents? i’ll be a freshman next year. im autistic and have physical health problems, making public school quite plainly insufferable for me, especially these last few years.
Do you have the option for Homebound instruction at your school? You can find out if your health problems are disabling enough for you to stay home, if going to school is painful

So funny story I actually am doing the reverse of that I’ve been homeschooled my entire life and I’m going to go public next yr
I would write up a plan, almost like a business plans. How will you be accountable? What are the pros and cons? How will you mitigate the effects of the cons? What curriculum have you researched? What are your states laws regarding homeschooling?Are there co-ops or classes in your area for homeschooled high schoolers? How will you get a transcript to go to college(if that's your plan)? How much will it cost? Where is the money coming from? Will you work part time? Are you going to take online classes?
If you really want to do this you will need to demonstrate that you are responsible enough, diligent enough, organized enough to be productive and thrive, especially if you will be responsible for your own work. The effort you expend in really researching would demonstrate your dedication to remaining accountable in a more autonomous learning environment. I would listen to a teen that showed they really wanted it and could work independently.

Umm if the reason is just friends show her that you have friends. Like I have many friends and I’m homeschooled. Also show her that you really want to switch.

You can always re-enroll in your previous school (unless it's an admission based school with limited spots)
