Wow, I'm amazed this programme has survived, as most of what this TV company made at this time has vanished! This was videotaped in England in November 1968, and shown in the US 9 January 1969, but the programme has never been shown in colour in the UK (it was broadcast there in black and white only on 12 January 1969). This one-hour programme cost £160,000 to make (over three million US dollars today) and was the most expensive TV programme made in England up to that time. The backing is by the Jack Parnell Orchestra and the fantastic vocals, as others have pointed out, are being sung live. BTW Florence and Marilyn look completely sensational here - if I wasn't smitten before I certainly am now!
Marilyn & Florence are amongst two of the most beautiful women in entertainment. From what I’ve seen, they are still beautiful to this day.
Oh yeah!!!!
Yes , they were .......and still are !
Marilyn McCoo is as talented as she is mesmerizingly-beautiful. Her voice, her demeanor. Swoon! What a performance, what a group!

Champagne Soul at its finest.
This just never gets old...
Marilyn McCoo is so beautiful and classy, not to mention talented.
And married to Billy for 52 years now. These are real people, genuine human beings, not entertainment industry selfish robots.
My favorite female vocalist
Greatest group of all time!!!!!

Five superb vocalists doing material by the best late 60s songwriters. Girls are gorgeous too. What's not to like?

TY for the context. Jack Parnell had a very swinging orchestra. They were having some fun with 'Shake Your Tambourine'...
The happiness and joy exuding from the group is beautiful.
Saw them in person was dumbfounded when met Florence finally blurted out your gorgeous love your voice 😁
Such stage presence.
Marilyn’s money note at the end of “Up Up and Away”, Billy’s lead and the whole groups harmonies on “Shake Your Tambourine” 🤗❤️💫✨
