This. The micro during the bust was while awesome most people could do similiar on higher levels. What makes it godlike is Bisu perfectly macroing behind it.

It is the fact that he can do the micro and the macro at the same time , that is the amazing part.
For the people who are not familiar with Starcraft, the entire collections of control Bisu demonstrated above is dead crazy even at the top professional level.
Actually, this is not very hard to do when Terran do not have any units within attack range of the dragoons.
Once at 2 minutes he did it with vultures there, and thats tough because you actually have to tell the dragoons to attack the mine.
The really impressive part of this kind of micro comes when P do not know the exact location of the mines, and have to select them instantly instead of just attack+move :)
I said the entire collection of control he demonstrated. Anyone can mimic single control hack with enough practice.
What Bisu did while dominating Terran is just crazy.
It's still hard to do because you have to move back just before mine pops up then hold position. You have to do that consistently because 1 mine detonation means the harass is done if they have a tank.
Bisu queues up his actions here. He moves in just a tiny bit then moves back just a tiny bit then hold position. He isn't killing those mines with reflex but with pure muscle memory and mechanical precision. This move takes years to master and perform it as a habit. It's just pleasure to watch someone like Bisu play.
I still think some people are missing the point of this.
Yes the micro of killing mines is good, but lots of non-pro players are able to do that.
Killing siege tanks and keeping terran from amassing them is standard PvT, and he did a good job.
He also didn't let his dragoons get surrounded by vultures to lay mines around them, which was good.
But the amazing thing of all of this is that he did all of this simultaneously while macroing, expanding, teching up to reavers/observers, and blocking his natural choke point to prevent vulture counter-harass (you can see it on the mini-map right before the gg).
Also keep in mind he's using old school BW keybinds where the Patrol shortcut 'P' is located on the other side of the keyboard.
Nothing triggers the BW nostalgia like a screamo outro after a game ends.
Flash the God of Terran, Jaedong the God of Zerg and Bisu the God of Protoss.

I think soulkey is a better zerg in modern day broodwar. He is just more consistent.

Protoss in SC1 always had this elegant approach of expensive but strong, quality vs numbers. They are the final challenge for any pro micro gamer. Awesome video.

@@venomsouls4478 I have a feeling that there are less "ultimate", game ending spells and Protoss units are less expensive and less strong compared to Terran end Zerg.
For examples:
- Siege Tank had more damage
- Defiler spells...
- Spawn broodling
- Arbiter
- tanky original Zealots
Again, it's just a feeling rather than a fact-supported opinion.
But I SC2 was designed from the begifnning with e-sport in mind. They removed a lot of things which are... how should I say? Too rough.

Few people noticed it but in the beginning (00:01-00:02) You can see Bisu not only microing those Goons like hell but You can actually see him QUEUING next Probe in the meantime which is sick! I think Day9 mentioned it in one of his videos.

Just correcting the commentator, It is "hold control", not patrol. Dragoon step forward and, still can pick up a mine with a hold, without pulling back. However, so-called "tekken move" prevents dragoon from hitting other units in their range so that all dragoons aim for mine with certainty.
Yea man you can even tell when you look closer to the panel, he is using hold but for some reason commentators stuck in "patrol gives you fastest attack" thingy, i think that thing is only for muta micro? spreat, not spread etc.. :3
+Enoged Patrol does start attack animations one frame faster, but they require an additional click so hold position is the better option 9/10
If you try to hold then you will be less successful because first its slower, and second, the Dragoons frequently freeze when doing this. Attack-move or patrol is how its done.
I don't know ifthe Dragoon-AI has been improved since I last played
phatbengt Bisu was using hold though I'm pretty sure. And no the Dragoon AI has not improved, they are still as dumb as they were always and they will always be haha. I hate it when they get stuck by using hold.
I'm not familiar with Hold command, but Patrol command makes you kite with vultures very smoothly and it is my favored way. I think it works for dragoons too.

You can see in the UI that Bisu is using Hold Position when killing the mines.

Yeah.. It actually is VERY important if you go for a carrier build. Its the difference of winning and loosing going carriers.

Insane level of multitasking.. It is so unbelievably hard to be so precise with such speed... killing mines with goons without an observer, while macroing up your expo and building reavers.. just wow! :)

It is hold, actually.
If you use the patroll command, it would be like:
1→p→left click to empty ground
But, if you use the hold command, you get:
1→h
In conculusion, using hold button is quite faster, due to distance from button 1 and p, and an additional click.

They're talking about the frame difference, not how fast your fingers can move. The units wait less frames when you use patrol than when you use hold.

i think they all have makeup, i know the casters do (because tv)
They all have to wear makeup in the studio, otherwise when you sweat (from all the heat from the strong stage lights) you become too shiny from all the lights. They all go through a makeup routine where the makeup artist puts powder on them before the show. It's the same with any TV show.
Vultures do full damage to plasma shields, so four Vultures can deplete the shield pool with micro and tanks take them meanwhile.

Pretty solid dragoon micro! There are a number of UMS maps that pit you up against mines as Dragoons like this, I'd highly recommend trying them out if you want to want to be able to do this - playing Sniper RPG maps that feature mines also helps, directly a+clicking on a mine just as it unburrows can achieve this effect.

You guys have to understand how far the p for patrol button is. Im in awe :O
If it’s remastered you can set the buttons to any hotkey. If you use q for patrol, it’s right next to 1 2 and 3 so you can easily macro while you patrol attack. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still insanely difficult and I will probably never use a control group in my life because I’m so bad at the game 😂

Just notcied that on second watch-through.
He built that to block the road so that vultures cannot penetrate it and cause damage within his base. You can see that he adds observatory as soon as he sees that the enemy's vulture take off from their base, headed to his own base.
On checking it again, it seems the observatory he built for blocking the road is actually his first one.

Artificial intelligence has a long way to go still. It can't micro like Bisu... yet.
People are trying though.
Look up the SSCAIT.
Top bots are Krasi0 and Iron (both terran). Top protoss are Tscmoop and Bereaver.

I've seen this type of micro done by AI since quite a long time ago. Not long after it was first possible to be done (when BWAPI was developed).
There's far more inhuman micro that bots can do than this. They can control multiple individual units manually and simultaneously which is literally impossible for a human to do.
Also what's really impressive is the sort of stuff being done that is more than merely mechanical, by OpenAI. It can easily beat every one of the best players in the world reliably at DOTA 1v1 mid. It has amazing super-human mechanics, but also very optimized tactics.
