Shakedown Hawaii was given a physical release in 2020 due to Nintendo refusing to allow a Wii version of the game to get a release in North America. Should be the final physical release for the system.
Man this video demonstrates just how gutted the Wii U was for its exclusives after the Switch came out. It's only got 2 or 3 good exclusives left. It also shows how little support it got from third parties.
There are perks to it. Rovio updated Angry Birds Classic to be a F2P game when the original was a paid game with no timer or microtransaction bullshit. Therefore, the console releases retain that sense of purity, controls aside

RUclips also removed all the ads on my channel so there's not way to pay for any of the resources going into making these videos. I personally love my Wii U, and I think it had a great library, especially of exclusives (though most of those are now on Switch), and virtual console, which I'm so glad I bought like half of before the store shut down (HD really is the best way to play GBA games). It's a shame Nintendo made so many mistakes with it though. It had a great design and concept, and a lot of great ideas, but the execution was poor. Confusing branding that led people to think it was an addon to the Wii and not a new console. Terrible marketing. Sub-optimal internals that were superior to the PS360 on paper, but in practice were a downgrade, making ports often the lesser version. A price point that was much too high, rivaling even the next gen competitors, and with no way to ever reduce it because of the system's component costs (especially for the tablet).
This would be so good if you just left each game up for a few seconds more. Maybe added box art and the year of release too. Oh and why not use game audio? Nice idea, poorly implemented.

They should put old games that people liked and were good like splinter cell chaos theory and revive the online multiplayer for them that would make the wii u sell they added jedi academy to the switch and mr driller these 2 games i was gonna tell them to add them to the switch they already did they read my mind. They should add star wars battlefront 2 classic with all the mods and revive the online multipalyer for it thats one way to attract gamers. They should also add something like achievments and gamerscore i dont think nintendo consoles have this.

I personally love my Wii U, and I think it had a great library, especially of exclusives (though most of those are now on Switch), and virtual console, which I'm so glad I bought like half of before the store shut down (HD really is the best way to play GBA games). It's a shame Nintendo made so many mistakes with it though. It had a great design and concept, and a lot of great ideas, but the execution was poor. Confusing branding that led people to think it was an addon to the Wii and not a new console. Terrible marketing. Sub-optimal internals that were superior to the PS360 on paper, but in practice were a downgrade, making ports often the lesser version. A price point that was much too high, rivaling even the next gen competitors, and with no way to ever reduce it because of the system's component costs (especially for the tablet).
