Two games I’d recommend are a must have for your nearly perfect collection are Game & Wario along with Runbow! They’re great party games with single player modes that offer a surprisingly decent amount of content. Runbow in particular is great with a group of friends, and all the indie costumes (Shantae, Shovel Knight, Bit Trip, Steam World Dig, & Guacamelee) are a great addition!!
Need for Speed Most Wanted U is one of my favourite games ever, I fully completed it with the DLC on Wii U and enjoyed it so much I bought it again on PS3 to collect the PSN trophies. It’s graphics were a glimpse into what more advanced 3rd party titles could’ve looked like on Wii U.
Happy to see a fellow Wii U enjoyer talking about his collection like that. The Wii U is my favorite console and still play it a lot but I am disappointed with the current Switch era. If I were to recommend you something, I would tell you to take the time to play Pikmin 3 since it is really amazing and I would recommend you to buy Pokkén Tournament, Star Fox Guard and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse to upgrade your collection. Is Wii Fit U any good? I am a huge fan of Wii Fit Plus and this seems like gold. I am also wondering if Game & Wario and Wii Party U are worth buying. Edit: I just realized that you haven’t played the masterpiece that is Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric! You need to correct that RIGHT NOW! (I have honestly done 4 playthroughs of this game.)
I still think Yoshi's Woolly World is the best Wii U game that hasn't come to the Switch (yeah I love Xenoblade but I'm not a big fan of X). It's right up there with Tropical Freeze as being one of the best platformers ever made. This was an awesome series and a great celebration of an underappreciated console. I might just go back and revisit some of my favorite Wii U games when school is over to relive the nostalgia, maybe even try out some new ones!
It’s sad Nintendo legitimately hates the U as much as the VRB cause they had a ton of good games but the fact Nintendo port all the big hits from the U something they never do tells u how much they hated the U they basically pretend it never existed or mentioned it

My favorite Wii U game is without a doubt paper Mario color splash. I know this is a very controversial take but here me out. Paper Mario color splash is one of the most visually appealing, funny and charming games I have ever played. Almost everything everyone says in the game is a joke. I know some people don’t like that but it’s right up my alley. The game is just bursting with charm. Every level is unique and has something I remember about it unlike sticker star. I remember the Colosseum, The upside down Café, The military base, The bomb factory, getting scammed on the beach, the runaway train etc. Like I said before the visuals are amazing and so is the soundtrack but Tbf what paper Mario game doesn’t have an amazing soundtrack? Color splash is also one of the three Mario games where I actually like the koopalings (The other two are Bowser‘s minions and Bowser Junior‘s journey). All of them have actual personalities in the game and all of their themes are absolute bops. It’s weird Bowser Junior isn’t in color splash though. I mean the first game he appeared in he vandalized an island with paint. I mean come on guys it was right there. The only thing I don’t like about color splash is the battle system. I am of the opinion that color splash (and origami king) would’ve been much better off if they didn’t have a battle system at all and all of the enemies we’re just overworld enemies like in super paper Mario. I hate fighting enemy’s in color splash. I just love exploring the world and reading the dialogue. The battle system also makes the bosses complete jokes despite their spectacle But the bad battle system isn’t enough to ruin the game for me. In my opinion paper Mario color splash is an underrated gem and more people should give it the credit it deserves and I also believe it should be ported to the switch. Barely anyone played it and the game deserves a proper chance
I agree, the game is absolutely amazing! Color Splash seems to be one of the most underrated Nintendo games ever. It's so full of life, and you can really tell the developers poured in all of their passion. One of the best comedy games I've ever played too. (There's too little of those). Love all the funny toads so much! 😅 Also the battle system was a hundred times better than in Origami King, even if it was not that great. You can take at least take it easy when you play Color Splash and the other Paper Marios, but in Origami King you have to think and there's a timer, omg the horror! I bought a Wii U at the end of its lifecycle. I had already thought about it because of Wind Waker HD, Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8, but Color Splash finally tipped me over. One of the best looking 3D games ever for sure. There's a vocal part of the Paper Mario game fans that are obsessed with having the games be RPG's, and that took down the potential this game had. Personally I never played the RPG Paper Marios back in the day, so I don't have the baggage of thinking that way. (But I agree Sticker Star was a bit soulless although it looked good). I also agree with you that Paper Mario going forward would be best off just to have some sorts of overworld combat.

I actually booted my wii u up the summer of last year. I was broke and in high school at the time I had it but that’s changed now and I really wanted to play xenoblade x. I remember being hype for the games release but I couldn’t afford the bloody storage space for it. While it isn’t my favourite xenoblade game I don’t think the wiiu is officially dead until it gets rereleased.

Great Video and Great Collection! I loved hearing your thoughts on your WiiU collection! Here's my review of each game we had in common! Splatoon - The main game that kept bringing me back to the WiiU... love it! Disney Infinity (1.0 and 2.0) - A Janky game that I can't help but love, especially collecting all the figures. New Super Mario Bros U. - Another NSMB game that didn't feel too unique or fun in my opinion. Super Smash Bros for WiiU - A really good smash game that had such an amazing buildup to release. A lot of fun too of course. Pikmin 3 - I hardly played this one, I just couldn't get into it (or any of the Pikmin games tbh) Nintendo Land - Better than Wii Sports tbh. Luigi's Ghost Mansion and Mario Chase are the bomb. Mass Effect 3 - We have the same opinion. Played it without playing the first 2.. whoopsies ZombiU - LOVED IT on the WiiU tbh. The gamepad makes this game a must play horror game on the system tbh Super Mario 3D World - Love it as a fun, multiplayer distraction and the music is great. But its not as AMAZING as people say it is. Mario Kart 8 - Great game, but Deluxe is this but better so there is no reason to go back to this one.
I only got a Wii U in 2019 but it’s a great console and it’s fun to collect for. The discs feel better than any other consoles. Idk why, but they just do. The fact that you can play Wii games is a great plus as well without having to have a Wii plugged in as well.
Rodea the Sky Soldier on Wii U is not a port of the vastly superior Wii version, it's actually a port of the 3DS version. I kid you not. They actually ported the 3DS version to Wii U! That's one reason why it is so bad. But it is a shame that so many Wii owners don't realize that there is a hidden gem for their console sitting inside a Wii U game case.
reminds me, i have quite a few games to sell as they are doubles. Devils third I have 4 copies with 1 still sealed and apparently, its rare? lol. Great game collection, you are right the wii u games look awesome stacked up and put nicely in a gaming room, as does the console and set up itself. I think ill play mine and the games again soon once ive sorted out my retro corner with atari 2600 etc!

Definitely recommend Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Axiom Verge as both (IMHO) play better on the Wii U than the Switch (ie. not having the Gamepad available as a mobile in TMS#FE absolutely ruined the Switch version). Something I find missing in a lot of the Wii U retrospective videos is giving the Pro Controller the love it deserves. I have MarioKart 8 on both the Wii U and Switch, but I find that the Pro Controller makes the Wii U version my preferred way to play.
Fun fact the Nintendo switch has assassin's creed the Ezio trilogy which includes assassin's creed 2 brotherhood and revelations all three of this games takes place before Assassin's Creed III so it should help you understand the story better if you want
The Nintendo switch also has Assassin's Creed III remastered as well as a bundle of black flag and rouge which are the games after the Ezio trilogy so if you want to continue the storyline pick up these games
Super Mario Maker is amazing because of the added features, but unfortunately the mystery mushroom costumes is incomplete (at least 6 or 7 are missing)
Lol. I’m still gonna defend Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, to this day. It’s a very 4/10 game my friends and I really enjoyed. It’s just super child friendly Fortune Street.

I personally find it offensive to not include the just dance series, it was one of my highlights of Wii u growing up and having people over at my house who I didn’t even know, but we still had fun with the just dance games

Darksiders II and Warmastered are solid Wii U 3rd party games - as is Tekken Tag, Injustice and Skylanders. Call of Duty Ghosts for me is one of the most graphically impressive Wii U games (run from harddisk) and pushes the console as hard as BOTW. Dont know about your digital collection but Fast racing Neo is also one of the best looking games on the console. Look fwd to you covering your Eshop library
i wish i could of gotten physical discs for my Nintendo Wii U but for some reason my Wii U was struggling too read the discs because its been said time and time again that Wii U discs werent made in good condition or too last for a long time and certain disc games work i know its not my Wii U because certain games do work the discs that i have for it but thats just those every disc i got after the ones i got just dont work but reguardless of the physical most of my games are digital and i highly enjoy the Wii U its one of my favorite systems too go back to and relax on

@@therealjaystone2344 the Wii U uses a type of dvd which was made in poor contidions to the 2 pieces can spit and let in oxygen which will rot the disc and a large amount of people have Wii U disc rot problems and GameCube as well
Sad the some of these games are delisted on the eShop. As a dude that lives in a desert disc based games don't last that long thanks to heat and dusk making buying them off a second hand store pretty risky. And buying them online (NEW OR NOT) is super pricey.

Windwakerhd remains a great looking game but the gcn is visually superior, as it look like a cartoon rather being cartoony

Great game collection, you are right the wii u games look awesome stacked up and put nicely in a gaming room, as does the console and set up itself. I think ill play mine and the games again soon once ive sorted out my retro corner with atari 2600 etc!

Nice! Definitely recommend Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Axiom Verge as both (IMHO) play better on the Wii U than the Switch (ie. not having the Gamepad available as a mobile in TMS#FE absolutely ruined the Switch version).
Something I find missing in a lot of the Wii U retrospective videos is giving the Pro Controller the love it deserves. I have MarioKart 8 on both the Wii U and Switch, but I find that the Pro Controller makes the Wii U version my preferred way to play.
Fun fact the Nintendo switch has assassin's creed the Ezio trilogy which includes assassin's creed 2 brotherhood and revelations all three of this games takes place before Assassin's Creed III so it should help you understand the story better if you want
The Nintendo switch also has Assassin's Creed III remastered as well as a bundle of black flag and rouge which are the games after the Ezio trilogy so if you want to continue the storyline pick up these games
Assassin's Creed rogue is a lot like Black flag except it takes place during the 7 years war and you are a assassin's turned templar
Super Mario Maker is amazing because of the added features, but unfortunately the mystery mushroom costumes is incomplete (at least 6 or 7 are missing)

I personally find it offensive to not include the just dance series, it was one of my highlights of Wii u growing up and having people over at my house who I didn’t even know, but we still had fun with the just dance games

Darksiders II and Warmastered are solid Wii U 3rd party games - as is Tekken Tag, Injustice and Skylanders. Call of Duty Ghosts for me is one of the most graphically impressive Wii U games (run from harddisk) and pushes the console as hard as BOTW. Dont know about your digital collection but Fast racing Neo is also one of the best looking games on the console. Look fwd to you covering your Eshop library

i wish i could of gotten physical discs for my Nintendo Wii U but for some reason my Wii U was struggling too read the discs because its been said time and time again that Wii U discs werent made in good condition or too last for a long time and certain disc games work i know its not my Wii U because certain games do work the discs that i have for it but thats just those every disc i got after the ones i got just dont work but reguardless of the physical most of my games are digital and i highly enjoy the Wii U its one of my favorite systems too go back to and relax on

I should really buy more games for my Wii U. I only got 3 games when I bought it used from some guy on market place. And I really don't have any excuse because the games are cheap, unlike GameCube games. But why is Wii Party U and Wii Sports U expensive? Like they are still like $50

Breath of the wild, Splatoon, Xenoblade X, and alot more are Wii U games ported to switch so many think they are all switch games. No Wii U games. So all those saying Wii U sux and owns 50 percent of Wii u library are LIARS.

CDs won’t rot for another 100 years at max
@@therealjaystone2344 the Wii U uses a type of dvd which was made in poor contidions to the 2 pieces can spit and let in oxygen which will rot the disc and a large amount of people have Wii U disc rot problems and GameCube as well
