Had a great time sharing that one with you. Was fun hearing you talk about "better to say sorry than ask permission" then waiting for the end - called it! Yes, the guy in purple is Viktus.
I think the best thing you can do for Ren right now, is do nothing but the funny upbeat songs... even if you've heard them. Your happiness is infectious. Like I wanna see you listen to Uninvited... all the Love Music ones... etc etc.
Thanks for your kind words abour Ren, As a new Renegade, I subscribed earlier this week, I've never been so invested in any Singer/Musician before. I need my daily fix of Ren - his music & inspirational life story have made me a better person, and changed my life for the better.
I think same might be for me. I mean I’ve maybe been more obsessed with some bands when I was younger but I don’t think I’ve ever been this fascinated by a performer just as a dude, outside of their music
You said at the beginning - "obviously my health problems aren't anywhere as severe" - and I want you to know everyone with chronic illness and or pain feels like they need to undermibev their own experience by composing it to someone else's. Which is how i ended up sitting, talking to a stranger while my grandma was having a mastectomy (breast cancer, she beat it), sitting in the waiting area and said, "oh... I have a chronic pain disorder." I was in denial because I kept comparing myself to people who have it worse. You're reaction style is very positive. 💜
You are 100% right and I know it and it’s still a struggle. Like I didn’t even register that long Covid counted as a chronic illness until Ren mentioned it. I guess I just always try to downplay my pain because my mom and sister are so ill but the last two people who would ever ask me to do that is them
@@Filmfinds1443 Hey, I totally get it. At 21, I found out headaches everyday isn't normal. I legit thought every person had a headache every single day. I was seeing a neurologist for several years and the first day I was a 0 on the headpain scale, I freaked out and called my therapist like something is wrong am I having a stroke tell me I'm overreacting. And she got me to describe what felt so odd and then just sat there quiet and said, "Sarah, you don't have a headache." Gonna be honest, I'm so used to it, I hate how having a zero headpain day. I dont recognize my own mind. It causes dysphoria. That's how much pain and illness can convince us it's no big deal. I currently have an icepack on my head that I need to exchange because it's getting warm. I have 7-8 ice packs and 3 ice caps (special migraine hat) and I basically always use one because it keeps me under 5 on the pain scale (4 and lower is pain that can be ignored so 4 and lower is fine for me, I'm old hat at ignoring 4s and lowers). You will always underestimate your own pain and struggle because you're inside it. As Ren's shadow said in Hi Ren, "perspective, that thing you neglected." The shadow isn't completely wrong, there's a time for light and a time for darkness. It's really hard to judge the size of a forest you're standing in. I hope you have a great weekend 💜 I enjoyed how much you were jazzed about how fun this song was. Also, thanks for mentioning ska, no one brings it up anymore and sometimes I think it was a weird fever dream 😅

If you haven't seen The Big Push's video Watch Out, you should add it to your list. Great song and fun skater vibes.
Oooo it’s on my list but I haven’t heard it yet. I’ve heard moments of ska from Big Push, I want full ska!

It’s Luke Flegg not Alex Flegg who directed this….don’t know where the hell I got Alex from
It could be that any articulate white rapper gets genred with the beastie boys.
Also, The Big Push do Praise You. Put it on your list or wheel 😅
Sweeeeet. Big Push always brings the most random fun cover choices
