What I know so far of Kierkegaard after reading and watching and learning about his is that his works are nested and are not explicitly answers. I have noticed a lot of his philosophy is meant to be taken all as one big thought. Perhaps he meant this to happen , or it is just a consequence of him knowing his ideas so well he forgets the readers don't know what he is referring to. Secondly I noticed he mentions a lot of ideas with broad philosophical range which people can have massive differing opinions But Kierkegaard doesn't really seem to be inclined to answer any of them definitively in a way. 'Sickness unto death' is a very good example of this where the book is implicitly implies another one of his works 'the either or' that is meant to be taken in tandem with sickness unto death.Where Kierkegaard essentially lays out the ideas of the aesthetic, the ethical and the religious and are inferred into his new ideas which is essentially the flip side idea of " either or" in the concepts of feminine despair ( not wanting to be one self I.E. the negative you are lacking as a self) masculine despair ( wanting to be one self I.E. the positive to fill the negative of the feminine). I realized as I was reading it that the ' either or' is entirely the concept of the masculine despair in absences of the concept of despair, what I mean is that is purely the idea of what you want to be, or do. I think I was trying to make a point about the birds but I lost track and I already wrote all of this perhaps I will edit it when it comes back to me.
I remember why God cant be replaced with Taoism is because his concepts he layed out in "𝛃. The despair of wanting in despair to be oneself - defiance " on page 98 in the penguine classics version. Basically he says eastern philosophies and stoicism prop up a false cross.

ive noticed you've done a lot of videos on Christian philosophers and their works. It would be great to see you talking about islamic philosophers and their own philosophical works
