Same here, this is the perfection point of heart of stone, I haven't heard any performance that has topped hers and then they release this? Now it's gonna be even harder to beat!
same! Honestly Jane Seymour has always been at the bottom of my list since there isn't much known to her but ever since I heard Abby sang Heart of Stone I've started to look more into Jane Seymour besides her marriage with Henry lol
As an Australain, I completely agree with you. Not saying the others are bad, but it's not as good as broadway. The best rendition of a musical that I have seen here in Australia is our Hamilton (And the guy who plays Hamilton in our one went to the drama school I'm at, WAAPA), but our 6 does not compare to Broadway 6.
Best Seymour, period. She is the only one who actually made me believe she is a mother. And the emotion in her voice shows how she actually cares. 10/10, would time travel to hear this live
i like natalie paris’s version to sing along to, since she sorta just does the base of it. but abby’s performance literally makes me cry, she is so outstanding and talented, it scares me. i normally dont cry because of songs, but all you wanna do (sam pauly’s version ofccc) and heart of stone (abby mueller) both make me cry. sam puts so much emotion into the end, and i just love abby’s voice and all the stuff she adds to the song.

@@KMSweeting Yeah that's true. "All You Wanna Do" is darker, possibly even more so because of how energetic (I don't know a better word to describe it) it is towards the beginning, But when it comes to tone and tugging at your heartstrings? "Heart of Stone" wins, hands-down.
I think what folks are trying to articulate is...Heart of Stone by it's structure is more emotive and dynamic because Jane doesn't have to tell her story. Cuz really what's to tell? Henry had broken all rules and precedents by the time he married Jane. And then she died in childbirth. So her song has more freedom to be emotive because she doesn't have to info dump or explain anything. And as such the women who portray her in Six can just be free to belt to their hearts content. And Abbie is phenomenal and her voice is amazing. That said, All You Wanna Do is imo opinion the best Queens song because it's the biggest info dump and the longest song at damn near 8 mins because she is the least known Queen(and we see why now) *and* her song has a dynamic full octave range. It's a workhorse of a song and I find it a little ironic that the best songs are for the least controversial Queen, yet best known for birthing Henry a legitimate son ; and the least known Queen who was probably the second most controversial in her time. Fate is funny
This is by far the best recorded version I could find. I wish! Kelsey Kimmel made a recording so I could compare the two because her version is my favorite In person. Unfortunately I haven't seen Abby.
I honestly don’t know why, but this makes me think of the Druun in Raya and the Last Dragon “You’ll still find stone… my heart of stone.” The druun would turn everything it touched to stone (as long as it is alive.)
I'm sorry but the riff on "truthfully" deserves WAY more applause. They should have had to hold the song because there was so much. That's not acceptable.
ummm..I LOVE Natalie, but Abby has been in musical theater longer and is undoubtedly a stronger vocalist technically and range-wise (so she's pretty legendary), but the ENTIRE point of Six is that comparing women and raising one up to drag another down is immoral and misogynistic. And the thing that makes Six revolutionary is the fact that every queen is encouraged to make the song their own and not replicate previous queens. Obviously, in this cast recording the performances are live and Abby does riffs and runs that make Heart Of Stone more enjoyable to those who normally find the song boring. So your comment is insensitive, ironic, and extremely unpopular. No shade to Natalie though, she kills it as well. (Also, she wasn't even technically the original Jane. None of the West End cast are the OG cast anyways tbh)
@@GrinningLikeaDelicateJamesDean I agree with everything you said, but I believe that Natalie was the original Jane before the West End as was the actress who played Katherine Howard.

When the water's dried, you'll still find stone
My heart of stone
You say we're perfect
A perfect family
You hold us close, for the world to see
And when I say you're the only one I've ever loved
I mean those words truthfully
But I know
Without my son your love could disappear
I know it isn't fair, but I don't care
'Cause my love, will still be here

The water's dried, you'll still find stone
My heart of stone
Soon I'll have to go
I'll never see him grow
But I hope my son will know
He'll never be alone
'Cause like a river runs dry
And leaves it's scars behind
I'll be by your side
'Cause my love
Is set in stone
Yeahhh
