Not sure what Michael is saying about Devon losing the title... Devon never lost the title. And yes he has defended it. He's currently still ranked number 1 in the HW devision.

I love Michael and I'm rooting for him but no... He didn't beat Devon's lift at all. Devon also did more than 165 he just never filmed his record.
But Michael did the lift while resting his elbow on his leg... He claimed it was basically impossible to do this any other way.... Well... Devon did it that way. I also think Michael used a bit more cup when he lifted making it easier on his pronation... And regardless of the numbers devon's arms is longer making the same weight more difficult for him.
So no... Under strict form... He didn't exactly beat Devon's lift and I doubt he'd really come all that close if he did it exactly the same way.
Remember that Ermes, who's way stronger than Michael, started doing the pronation lift way before Micheal and Ermes is younger AND taking a shit ton of juice (Michael is probably pretty conservative with the PEDs comparatively speaking) and yet he's nowhere near Michael's supposed lift... Why? Bc he does it exactly how Devon does which is just a much harder lift.
Lastly... Michael did his max lift pretty much once per day.... Devon overtrains and never tested his one rep max.
This is why Michael still loses his wrist in matches while Devon takes everyone's wrist... Even Levan's. Quite objectively speaking, Devon has the strongest wrist in the world.
Again I m rooting for Michael but I don't think he's really being perfectly honest with himself.
