Thanks for the Maps challenge. Found it! End of Magnolia Drive. Pause at 3:14 and on the right side there's a very distinct eight story bulding with white middle and dark sides. (edit: It's Cedar Sinai hospital, close to Beverly Center right out of GTA 5.) Line it up with the large road, La Cienega Blvd and there it is. A long deck with a kidney-shaped pool at the end.

IIRC Trott used to play guitar in a melodic death metal band. He's never said who it was, beyond the fact that it was basically a garage band that went nowhere (so it wouldn't matter), but he did nonetheless.

As someone who lives in LA it's bugging me that I can't figure out where this airbnb is. You can see downtown LA to the left but the home is on the hills somewhere so i'd say Hollywood hills but downtown is quite the distance so that doesn't seem right. My only other guess would be Baldwin hills.
