I just picked up a Trae Young, 2021 kaboom yesterday Jim meant 10 graded by tag with one tiny ding on the front that is not even really noticeable by I but that was the only flaw they had on that card. Everything else was immaculate.
@getgooddad I've only subbed through TAG, and currently have 3 subs grading now. Over 120 cards graded not including the 160 currently being graded. And have only landed 1 pristine. Glad to see another one leaving PSA to TAG.
The pricing structure has recently changed for TAG. 2 tiers: TAG X can be as cheap as $12 per card for 30 day service. TAG S is $25 per card for 15 day service.
@@Jeremy1998999 Thanks for the info! The service also differs per level. With TAG, you get a grade but not as much detail with the $12 cost tier. I think for $9 they will just authenticate and slab.
@@getgooddad I think as long as the most expensive cards like the honus wagner etc.. those all get psa grades.. if they switched over to tag then yes tag would become the new number 1 in my opinion
@@zezegambles word. I think with so many junk slabs out there... Especially 9s, TAG system does help to separate better 9s for worse 9s, if that makes sense.
@@getgooddad maybe. For PC I can see it, but my PC is In CGC slabs. Cheaper and the clearest of the big 4. TAG long game might only pay off if there is another PANDEMIC.
@@getgooddad nothing but respect for these start up companies, but TAG would need to jump CSG, BGS, SGC to even approach PSA. THEIR long game must be 10 plus year because they are not averaging 10K cards per month.
This is exactly what COLLECTORS needed….reliable consistency. In most cases it seems that only PSA 10’s have value. The fact that PSA 9’s hold very little value over raw makes me want to grade elsewhere. The PSA craze will die off.
TAG is much better, but they may have just priced themselves out of the market and watered down their product...hope they can come back, I really enjoy my TAG slabs better too.
#boycottPSA They offer no explanation as to why a card is graded as such, yet they set market prices. Too bad your graded had a bad Monday, that 9 should have been a ten, but our count shows too many tens for that card. Terrible company.

These older cards are hard to gem. I think you did just fine. Even straight outta packs, the 90s QC is rough.

This is how U look at it if your collecting to keep it doesn’t matter which grading company but if your going to sell it 1 day U should go PSA.
I agree on the short term. Long term I think TAG equals PSA.
Wrong, I will not be over paying for trash graded cards just because they are from PSA.

My only issue is what if TAG goes out of business and takes their site down? the QR codes would become useless.
That is true. My hope though is that they would publish the info to a free-cloud hosting service so it wouldn't vanish forever.
TAG is in league of its own. I hope consumers realise that TAG is the way to go.
