  • Tom Brady led another fourth quarter comeback last night. Getting the ball with 5:21 left in the fourth, Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were down 16-3 before Brady led Tampa on back-to-back touchdown drives with the game-winning throw coming with only three seconds left on the clock. Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to Brady’s clutch win over NFC South rival New Orleans Saints.

One thing about Brady's success that many overlook is the importance of his influence on his teammates. He can't win these games by himself. His teammates have to make the plays too. When you have a team leader as competitive as him, what teammate wants to be the guy that lets the team down by not playing with that same energy? Even when they're struggling, you know the game ain't over until it's over in his head, and that carries over to everyone else.

You are absolutely right. That is the one factor that cant be reproduced or accounted for. Its the reason he beat the atlanta in the SB when down 28 to 3 and the reason he was able to pull off a superbowl win at tampa with a team that was losing the year before. It really is the most important aspect of his presence in the game. Everybody around him elevates their play. Its just happened too many times to even be coincidence.

He has to throw 50 times per game and he has to get rid of it quickly. Despite those obstacles he has thrown for 3300 yards. These silly debates... "it's more what the Saints did wrong than what the Bucs did right" it's BOTH! The Saints gifted the Bucs the opportunity to come back, but the Bucs still had to execute on those opportunities....twice! Two stops on defense, two touchdown drives, and two game-winning TDs (after penalty). Teams running out of gas with narrow leads hang on all the time, not because of something they did, but of the comeback team blew it.

Skip: you couldn't throw a better pass.
Shan: skip, it had GPS tracking.

Never seen anything like this? Huh? What? Didn’t Brady come back from 28-3? THAT is a more difficult come back simply because so much more has to go right

But I truly had more faith in the Superbowl. I texted my buddy during the Superbowl saying comeback time when the game hit 28-10. I didn't think there was even a 1% chance yesterdag

Maybe it's the small amount of time it took. Manning led tons of impressive comebacks even got 1 vs New England but the 1 on MNF vs us was impressive because it took like 4 minutes to get 3 scores.

And was by far the most incredible football game ever. But last years entire final 8 teams playoffs games run a close second.
