So I would say tying a game up would probably mark the success of pulling off the comeback. I agree it generally implies that they not only came back but also won the game. Give baker a chance. I’m so tired of him being hated on. It’s his first game on the team. As a panthers fan this is a gift to us. It’s not just him it’s poor coaching on Matt Rhule. He constantly gets out coached by every team. We have so much talent the most we’ve had since our super bowl year and we’re still struggling. To be fair, baker did have some mistakes but he played far better than anyone has in the last 3-4 seasons.
Baker did well in the end. He was nervous and thought too much in the first half and the play calls were just terrible most of the game until we let Baker loose.
What a lot of people are failing to notice is that most of Baker's muffs after the snap are due to the center. The Panthers are starting a guard at center, when they have a PERFECTLY fine center on the roster (Bradley Bozeman).

@@aswaswasw2323 Okay then, thanks. I know nothing about kicking footballs and the techniques involved. I guess York has the ability to kick a long hook shot? Baker had more than half his yards on two broken plays in the secondary. CMC had 33 yards rushing, 28 of them came on a dropped snap, lucky run. The Browns slapped the Panthers around and if Watson were under center, it would have been 40-10
McCaffrey had 33 yards rushing +28 on a fumble recovery he had 33 yards running they don't add it on his rushing stats they also only ran him 10x and could only gain 1 yard one one play since it was a goal line play. If Matt Rhule wasn't an idiot the Panthers would have won the game by actually running the ball with the best player on the field he had 3 rushing attempts by half time.

And…two blown coverages that were gimmies. The only reasons Skip had stats to bring to the debate. Had Baker not have made those cake passes, my goodness 😂.
Tell that to Jameis Winston. I bet you will say he had a good game...
@@sora4440 the same way he would've been praised if Carolina won he needs to share the blame in a loss. It comes with the territory being a starting QB so let's not be childish here

Isn’t the definition of “pulling off a comeback” winning? Otherwise, you came back but didn’t pull it off?
Technically, I would say “pulling off a comeback” would just mean successfully coming back from the deficit. So I would say tying a game up would probably mark the success of pulling off the comeback.
I agree it generally implies that they not only came back but also won the game. But technically “pulling off a come back” would refer only to the come back process and not the ultimate outcome of the game.
I guess technically Jacoby pulled off the comeback, upset, game winning drive etc
@@LazerJet27 no “pulling off a comeback” mens to win AFTER coming back

I respect Skip for sticking to his story, and I'm glad he does cus this ish is entertaining.
Skip: "Moral victory, springboard, springboard to greatness, to greatness"
Give baker a chance. I’m so tired of him being hated on. It’s his first game on the team. As a panthers fan this is a gift to us. It’s not just him it’s poor coaching on Matt Rhule. He constantly gets out coached by every team. We have so much talent the most we’ve had since our super bowl year and we’re still struggling. To be fair, baker did have some mistakes but he played far better than anyone has in the last 3-4 seasons.
I knew it would be a bad day for skip after Carolina and Dallas lost
The Browns used to struggle with extra points so a 58 yarder to win the opener 1st time in 17 years. Is growth and overdue good luck.
Talk about egg on your face Skip been gassing this up for months screaming top of his lungs for Baker and this😂😂😂
Shannon's response at 5:09 hilarious 😂 😃 😄 😁 🤣
"Did you get any of your picks right yesterday" 😂😂😂
Uncle Shannon and Skip I knew you would not disappoint 🤗🤗
I just played this in front of my family and lord their faces when Skip started talking 😳😳😳🤣🤣🤣. One thing for sure Skip is loyal if he really likes you. 🤪😁🤣
Discussing around 2:40 whether York's game winning field goal was lucky; here's the thing.
In pregame warmups all his kicks were drifting left. So, when he kicked, he kicked right and let the breeze hook the ball inside the right upright.
There was no breeze them flags was flat....he just made it. I'm a panther fan and I live in Charlotte....very little wind Sunday.
@@aswaswasw2323 Okay then, thanks.
I know nothing about kicking footballs and the techniques involved. I guess York has the ability to kick a long hook shot?
The ball clearly hooked to the left as it gained height and traveled toward the uprights.
by the way, I think you guys were robbed by the officials, but that happens every season.
As a Browns fan....good luck to you guys !!
Baker looked fine jesus it’s week 1 no chem yet
This aged as well as we all knew it wud

Roughing and the non called grounding was a huge fix
Riiiiight 👍🏼

I agree with u
You guys do understand that Kevin Durant hit that 3 with just his toenail on the line?
I don’t know Skip keeps defending Baker. I been watching football for a long time. Baker is not the top tier QB that Skip keeps trying to elevate. Heck, even Shannon is throwing truth because he’s played the game of football and knows what a top QB possesses. I think Baker can be a good QB in his next reincarnation, but not in this era. Shannon is on point 🙏
@Dwight Daley Don't forget Tebow lol. Skip would try to convince us that Tebow could come back to the NFL if he wanted to.
@@eddiesmith5617 for realz. He is trying to talk it into existence.
Everyone wishes they had a friend like Skip got your back 😁
I finally agree with skip for once. I blame Matt Rhule cuz he should’ve went for the score instead of killing their timeouts and leaving them with 2 mins left. But I give props to their kicker cuz that was hella clutch…👏🏽
The year is 20XX, there is a Baker Mayfield award given to the qb with a good 11 game run, the award is more valuable than the season MVP
Did skip say field goal kicking doesn't belong in the game? That's literally how Brady has like 4 of his rings.
He did, but he also said if he could he would draft one in the first round because of how they either won or lose the game for you. So even though he doesn't like it, he still acknowledges the impact they have
Browns kicker Cade York is an assassin. Get used to seeing him bomb field goals like that.

I love how Skip just sticks to his guns, no matter how silly he knows he sounds. The dudes a national treasure.
Here's the thing about Baker; it's ALWAYS something to excuse the loss. It's always the refs, or the defense, or the injury, or the weather. I agree these are valid excuses in a vacuum, but c'mon. In the aggregate, Baker is always ALMOST good enough. When do we see the common denominator here?
Browns way more talented and he still almost won

I'm still taking him over Sam Darnold and Teddy Bridgewater. I'm not taking him over Cam Newton but that's another story. Bottom line is Baker was the best available option
Our playoff win was miserable for you?
Two blown coverages for 14pts... If that doesn't happen a whole other story line. Skip same old Baker on the field.. Skip let me know how many batted down balls Baker has at the end of the year, also where his QB percentage is.. I can tell you it will be at the bottom..

Imagine fumbling the ball 4 times and throwing an int and someone says you played a good game. One of the fumbles was on a snap that literally hits you in the hands.
He didn't lose any of them. Threw a TD , ran for a TD and had a slow Tight end come up a yard short from another long TD. Do you even watch the game?
@@-sensibleChris so you are giving him credit for having a snap hit him in the hands and dropping it? Wow. That is the bar for good QB play? Let me give you advice. Never watch Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady play. You may cry yourself to sleep if you think Baker played well not being able to hold onto the ball.

Did he have a rushing TD?
Just a simple question.
@@-sensibleChris you’re not mad that he can’t hold onto the football? Okay… really low bar for a QB. yes he has a rushing td….. so what??? And only one might have been on the center. The other literally hit him in the hands. It would have hit Mayfield in the chest if it hadn’t hit him in the hands. That is all on Mayfield.
As a panther fan, we were dog shitz for 3 quarters, we didn't deserve to win this game. Quarter 4 we started to play decent and the sloppy B's that plagued us the entire game started to come back and haunt us, not able to get off the field on 3 rd and shorts, Our coach giving the other team too much time, sloppy team play, penalty...then boom we lose. We didn't deserve to win that game.
Baker had 40 “big time throws” as a rookie. He won 7 games for a team that was 0-16 the year before …Then he became Odell-centric. Then when Odell went down baker TOOK OFF knock on wood for Odell.., Shake and Bake!! He went on a 11 game stretch where PFF ranked him as the 4th best QB over that time. And went INTO Pittsburg and won a playoff game with a QBR Of 91. And won Cleveland’s first playoff game in 26 years…. I’d say that’s really good!! Now he’s got this chip on shoulder mentality and watch out …NOW HES WITH CAROLINA!!! and will LIGHT IT UP , his shoulder is healed now and he’s the kind of guy that throws with a whip and torque motion .. Shannon Sharpe you will regret being WRONG!!! You know it and I know it … now he lost to his old team and he has an EVEN BIGGER chip on his shoulder !! WATCH OUT !!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great take by Shannon. As a Browns fan, we are loyal to Baker cause he was in the brown and orange. Now he's not with us, we see him for what he is.....not elite. He is very inconsistent. We were lucky to have Chubb and Hunt. Watson will be loving this team when he begins to play for us.

Baker had more than half his yards on two broken plays in the secondary.
CMC had 33 yards rushing, 28 of them came on a dropped snap, lucky run.
The Browns slapped the Panthers around and if Watson were under center, it would have been 40-10

@@uthamanj hasn’t played in like 2 years he’s rusty just wait until he plays a few games again
@@fyilando854 Exactly !!! So how can one say if he was playing, they would've won 40 - 10 ??? 💀💀
So we don't count broken plays for qbs.
He’s been with my Panthers for a month.
