Day 1 - Yuksom to Bakhim (via Sachen) is around 13 km trek.
The distance from Yuksom to Sachen is 8 km. After starting the trek from Yuksom for Dzongri /Goeachala, Sachen is the first halt where trekkers can take a break or stay for the first night. Here we took our first lunch break. There was a small shelter and also a wooden hut. We ate lunch in this hut. There was a small campsite at a higher location from this hut. This is also a forest area with many trees, plants, flowers and birds. The location of the camp site was on the shaded side of the mountain, so it was moist, devoid of sunlight and mostly dark. However, the beautiful green mountain view along with the serenity is the main attraction of this camp site.
After completing lunch, we took decision to trek further for Bakhim which is around 5 km. We crossed four bridges to reach Bakhim from Yuksom. Around 5 pm we reached Bakhim and this was our first day halt.

Trek route that I follow:
Day 1 - Yuksom to Bakhim (via Sachen)
Day 2 - Bakhim to Dzongri (via tshoka and phedang)
Day 3 - Dzongri to Dzongri top and return to Dzongri (Acclimatisation day)
Day 4 - Dzongri to Thansing (via Kokchurang)
Day 5 - Thansing to Goechala viewpoint one (via Lamuney and Samiti Lake)
Day 6 - Thansing to Tshoka
Day 7 - Tshoka to Yuksom
