Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League Premier Division. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. Special mention to Neil. We probably don't know even half of the stuff you've done for the club, but we all know that you're a big part of how it got this far and we're going to miss you. Good luck for the future. Don't be a stranger!

I've been watching Spen since 2014 when he started Forever Blowin' on Fifa 14, I was 14 than now I am 24 this was my whole childhood and I am so happy to see where Hashtag is heading (Manjdog still my fav player :) EVER). Big Congratulations to everyone involved at this club and can't wait for even more trophies next season #UpTheTags

Spence gotta mvp of the night. Being able to smoothly navigate the most awkward of exchanges every time some receives an award and goes for the handshake has to be talked about 😂respectfully the one with Courtney was the best he hit the hand shake (while for a millisecond that hesitated and didn't know what to do and went in for a hug) and finessed the the classy cheek kiss. Legend at work
