Never again eill there be an era where they make this kind of music.......... One after the other after the other phenomenal hits......... Unequaled and unmatched to this day
Thank you Eric Norman Woolfson. May you rest in peace in the arms of Hashem. Your music changed the world. From Tales Of Mystery and Imagination to Freudiana, no other songwriter and lyricist either living or dead has created such an awesome and PERFECT body of work. Alan Parsons pushed the buttons, but Eric Woolfson was the TRUE genius behind the Project. FACT!
Ya no se hace música así. No hay interés, todo es de usar y tirar. Por estas canciones no pasaba ni pasará el tiempo. Como mínimo una reverencia a lo que fue y sigue siendo mi grupo favorito junto con The Beatles. Esto es talento.
Just seeing this guy sitting in the DJ both... I was an on-air jock for maybe ten total years. Not a day goes by that I don't miss it. I made squat as far as money goes but it was so much fun and the power to play a song and make somebody's day. The power of music is amazing.
I've been looking for thsi for 20+ years. Old mate had the cassette in his car but I could never remember the name of the song and only vaguley remembered the "alan parker" bit. Fantastic. Thanks you for the posting. Really great memories.
Lenny Zakatek.....giving a fantastic voice to a great song.....just try to stop your foot tapping☺Much of Alan Parsons Project back album is new to me...and I am 71😎. Catching up and having great fun. Thank you.
I am an Ian Bairnson fan - czeching eut all of his work and it's just amazing!! his ideas are spot on, the craft, precision and execution of solos are world-class!! I usually don't heap superlatives on anyone but here - it's warranted!!!
It talks about how people manage to gamble. That is why the album is called "Turn of A Friendly Card" and the song name "Games People Play" refers to gambling, and how they do tricks to earn the money.

YO!!! Rockin'Ron , thanks for posting this one hell of UK genius rocker and sound engineer , Alan was a great asset to Pink Floyds David Gilmore Dark Side of the moon. This to me reflects the true talent Alan Parsons has as well as had when Lenny did the original vocal work with Sir Parsons, next for APP??? perhaps some work with Pete Townsend. Again THX>>YOU KEEP ROCKIN...
Hay I saw this guy bookguitarguy play awhile back,he nailed Louie louie and hang on sloopy .He he could only use that big month to play the guitar,he would be a sensation !

I think so melody unfortgetable happy new year year
71 years old, New Britain, CT born and raised, grew up with WDRC The "Big D" in the Sixties, so glad to hear it again !
Lemny is the BOMB... This song is on loop forever for me..... He is the best voice and he loves what he does.....
Impressive and commendable that the DJ played the full version of the song, unlike most stations that cut out the badass middle part. Well done, sir.
Amazing Show like a radio program :D.
One of the coolest instrumental opens in history
Love that break with the artificial chorus modulator and the harpsichord. Turn was an amazing album!
What a GREAT speaking voice!!!!
The groove here and on another favorite APP song, I Don't Wanna Be Like You, are epic.
Those two are the very best :)
I was in college in the late 70's when this song got radio air time. Long time ago ... in a place far, far, away! :)
This song was 1980 my friend..Not 70s
Love this song since it was first released
Love this song Lenny's the greatest
This was from the "Turn of a Friendly Card" album, which I believe was released in 1980.
I'm happy because i see that one radio still played/plays this awesome song instead other non musicial noises.
I'm 21 years old and I love progressive rock
How's it feel to be 28 now, old man?
@@stuckinthepastproductions4329 If he's an old man at 28, what does that make me at 54?
@@stuckinthepastproductions4329 ok zoomer
@@stuckinthepastproductions4329 Lissette is a WOMAN'S name, you stupid kid
Ahh, Baltimore! I haven't been there in years. My Grandparents used to live there.
January,2020.. this song ROCKS.
WHO'S LISTENING WITH ME? I'M 64..ANY OTHER BABY BOOMERS?🤟❤️🌼😊
49 and still loving it
56 and still going
69 years old and love this album. Throw in some Pink Floyd and I’m a happy boomer.
Lenny's voice in this tune is what makes it so great.. Best lead vocal APP ever had in my opinion.
Ron T. I agree i guess hes not With APP anymore?
All their vocalists were great. Chris Rainbow was every bit as good. Woolfson, however, was the best.
Eric's voice was fabulous(the best).
Guys, there's a reason why APP-fans dubbed Lenny Zakatek "The Voice". Deal with it! ;)
@@alf-erikritsland1051 Well said,dude
One of my songs from Mr Parson!! What a talent....
Fantastic.
Ya no se hace música así. No hay interés, todo es de usar y tirar. Por estas canciones no pasaba ni pasará el tiempo. Como mínimo una reverencia a lo que fue y sigue siendo mi grupo favorito junto con The Beatles. Esto es talento.

I was going to something bad.. but this was, the best intro/DJ ever! Listen again and again!!
It's funny, I've liked this song since it came out, but just realized it was The Alan Parsons Project. Always thought it was Little River Band, lol
I LOVE this song!
It talks about how people manage to gamble. That is why the album is called "Turn of A Friendly Card" and the song name "Games People Play" refers to gambling, and how they do tricks to earn the money.
George Cuevas They had become fascinated w gambling at this point of their career.
I'm gonna go out on a ledge here and wager that they put a lot of double entendre into it - or double debth, as we might say in my language.
love this song, brought back memories..when i was a radio announcer ah yes
Have the same pair of Realistic headphones to this day... Still sound great rocking the APP..
