W.I.T.C.H. needs to be brought back while maintaing the same themes and style. This series really was ahead of it's time.

Children's shows aren't allowed to take the same liberties as shows from the 90s and early 2000s, ie Gargoyles, Witch, Beyblade, etc.

Apparently it's because channels need more time to air commercials so a lot of themes are super short. I don't know the whole thing but a lot of people say this is the reason
Beats me, but every show now just looks the same. Like there’s no creativity at all. You get like 20 minutes of commercials and 10 minutes of an actual tv show. Back then the shows were a lot more free, than what we have going for us now. At least me.

I got a towel in elementary/middle school with them (I still have it) and a notebook with Cornelia. My favourite character was Elyon.
I started to rewatch the show and it's way better than I remembered. I will need the comics after this. I did not got a chance to read them as little (only the books and I also read almost every Fairy Oak book), but I can do it now, since I assume it got an English translation, and despite I am not good at English, I can still mostly understand it.

@@tellemtofuckoff9098 And honestly, Winx Club would’ve been just as good as, if not better than, W.I.T.C.H if only the Nickelodeon revival was never made. I suggest that instead of having a soft reboot for Nickelodeon(which has an age demographic of 7-16, which would’ve worked for simply having the actors dub the show from Seasons 1-4, rather than co produce a revival for the younger audiences), maybe Rainbow should just ask Nickelodeon to acquire the series for dubbing, and maybe have a preschool version for the increasingly younger animation audience. That way, the original audience can have a chance to watch the regular Winx Club and enjoy it when they return home, and younger kids can have a version of the show they can enjoy too. That would encourage a wider range of viewers when it comes to animation. During the time that the animation audience has skewed younger, I still watching cartoons on a regular basis, on TV, on my phone, or wherever I watch cartoons, so there’s no way that less older kids are watching cartoons.

W.I.T.C.H., Winx Club, Sailor Moon and Totally Spies were one of my childhood favorite kick ass girl power shows! Takes me back to the nostalgic years when television was good. All girls shows are not, I still watch these shows and I won't ever forget about them.

Stella Stars Yes, I said if it was standardized it would be 4, but it was only 2... So yeah there were only 2 seasons but they had a LOOONG run. Also ended well.
This show is like a combination of my favorite shows: Winx Club and Avatar: The Last Airbender. It has a group of girls with wings (Winx) and powers of the elements (ATLA).

WITCH is honestly a great cartoon in my opinion. It doesn’t have predictable story lines, it’s got great adventures, a rocking theme song, really cool dialogues, great characters. This is what I’m gonna make my kids watch. And I’m 24 😅😂

WITCH was so damn raw. It was like Sailor Moon without being overly girly. Speaking as a guy, I feel like this was a good show for guys and girls.

Honestly a live action Witch would not be a bad idea if its done correctly, because the darker tone of the cartoon as it was is more fit for that kind of tv show than Winx Club was.

Yep, this is why a dark reboot makes way more sense for this show then for Winx yet Winx was the one to get it
I think the reason Winx did better than WITCH was because WITCH was to mature for the audience they were trying target, and the shows being released in the same year didn't help. Had WITCH been on something like TeenNick or Cartoon network instead of Disney, or been released after the Winx hype died down, it would've done much better. Disney tried to compete and it killed them.
Winx Club should've ended after the 4th season, it became so childish and repetitive after that, especially the whole thing with the Trix. They should've been gone after season 2 imo. A mini season or some kind of one hour special/movie focused on Layla/Aisha trying to bring Nabu back would've been great too. The movies were decent, but i felt like i was watching a show made for 5 year olds when season 5 came out. I was about 6 when both shows came out and i watched winx more because it was simpler for me to understand and way less confusing.

WITCH wasn't more mature than Gravity Falls. Witch can be summed up in: Phobos coerces Elyon, she gets trapped, Nerissa tries to reunite CHYKN, Cedric betrays Phobos.
WInx has a different plot each season, and they can always redeem, though S1-4 were the best.

I must admit, this is one of the greatest animated tv series on planet Earth. The adaptation of the comic series is outstanding! The whole story is very interesting, while the art style was just, wonderful! Also, the characters were written amazingly (mainly the girls) The Soundtrack (BGM) from the show, was the real thing to deal with...These 2 seasons were incredible to watch! I really enjoyed hell out of it.
Sad it couldn't get the 3rd season..
But maybe it will in the future...
W.I.T.C.H will always have a special place in my hearth!

@Gabe Mark I think a rework on animation would be good actually. Tokyo mew mew is an example of a remake recently which stays true to the original script but has updated graphics and a little tweaking of the clothing. Not sure why you seem so hostile to an update on the graphics?? 🤔🤣 I think it would be glorious 🥰
@Gabe Mark in addition, the original run for the series was not true to the script whatsoever, so a remake that is true to the story would be amazing to see. The comics were re-released and they updated the art. You should check it out, it's ongoing.
if the story was followed I see no reason to fear such changes happening to the show since it isn't present in the storyline. It feels like wishful thinking anyway. At least I hope the show can be put on streaming for others to have a chance to see, all we can hope for I guess ☹️
I wish Adult Swim/ Toonami would pick up this show for another season similar to how they did for Samurai Jack. I think it would be amazing.

@@Sofvia4 Well, in Avatar: The Last Airbender, each of the four elements represents a different season of the year. Water represents Winter, Earth represents Spring, Fire represents Summer, and Air represents Autumn. They were just listed in seasonal order.

freakyfool007 I just wanted to write the same - ask for a reboot -, then I saw your post. The series was good, but it could be improved to be more like the comics! This fan-made intro shows how the art style would be better. The only WITCH girl I loved in the tv series was Will (and maybe Cornelia), the others were a bit generic/bland, whereas in the comics, they are all captivating. Ironically, the villains have MORE depth in the tv series, Phobos and Nerissa are bit bland in the comics. Sometimes the tv series feels as if it focused more on the villains than the heroes, lol.
Or if they remake it or make a new season like with winx club?

After watching all the episodes in just two weeks, my regret was not watching it when it first came out. It's awesome, well written and funny. The theme song is so cool that I made it as my ringtone. Wish they didn't replace Marion Raven's version of the song in episode 14. It has that girl power vibe. Right now, I'm reading the books which are amazing and hope I can convince Disney to revive it when I work for them. The show deserves better. Hay Lin is my favorite character. Her fun personality reminded me of Ty Lee from Avatar.
I paused the video 30 seconds in. I don't need to finish it. I'm already sold. I heard of this show less than a minute ago, and I'm totally gonna binge every episode now.

I remember how awesome this show was to watch on Jetix. This was back in the day when a cartoon/anime show could have female protagonists and appeal to both boys and girls. You don't get to see stuff like this on tv nowadays

This opening is amazing. I liked the show when I was younger, when I got to high school and remembered the show and I wondered why I liked it and hated having the chorus stuck in my head, now I'm in college and I love having the whole song in my head. I guess I just realized that who cares if people judge you, watch what you enjoy and don't be ashamed of it.

This cartoon will forever stay in my heart. I still have the book series and remember when I would come back from school and immediately plop down in front of the TV to watch W.I.T.C.H. The theme songs are stuck in my mind. Such an amazing and incredibly well made show💖🔮

I didn't think there was a rivalry between Witch and Winx like Digimon and Pokémon did. Winx was cool I guess (I don't remember much of it at the moment because it's been more than 10 years) but I was always interested in Witch and unfortunately I didn't had cable to watch it.
There was no rivalry between Pokemon and Digimon. I believe you're confusing that with Yu-Gi-Oh.

Joshua Fogg Actually there was and still is a rivalry between them. Every Pokémon fan assumes Digimon is a complete ripoff of it without even watching the show and so there's always a feud between which is better.
Even digimon and Pokemon r different , Pokemon is about a boy who want to be the best Pokemon master and digimon about kids and their partner digimons saving the world. Only because of the similarity in names is the reason of rivalry I guess other wise if genre is different, how can be their any comparison.

I'm sure others might relate, but man I really really liked this show when I was little, especially the characters. And I'm a guy. Idk what it was, but the concept of Western/Anime-esque Magic kids with elemental powers mixing the "meta world" with a relatable real world was just to appealing to me! I was borderline obsessed with the characters in particular. Probably because the Main girls reminded me of a few old friends around that age.
Coming back to it is a special kind of nostalgic. Hard to explain, but it just feels "magical" in its own way.

This I must admit was an amazing show. I think it showed the talent of a show that was targeted at girls but because it had an amazing story line could easily be great for anyone.

To be honest, it was all of these heroic characters that made me what I am today. The "Average person learns to be a hero." is what made me develop the way I did.
Sure they're given super powers but because the shows didn't continue on and on like Super Man or Bat Man, I think it made them appear in a way to be truly mortal.
Never heard of this show in my life (I'm an 80s kid, this show came out when I was 17 lol). This intro kicks ass and now I want to actually watch the show!

@@juniorgunter7123 Caleb was better done in the show,he's not a shallow fool and you can see he's a leader while in the comics you see him once acting like a romeo to a chick he saw in his dreams,It was the worst thing ever and it would have been better if he remained an ally for a while until they are drawn to eachother,like developing feelings for eachother after Nerissa was destroyed for example,the only that was Melodramatic was Cornelia but that's it. The comics are longer and seem more fun at first but later it does downhill.
