In which session you are reading... For reading all sessions will not support ... Which format you taken for reading values like text table, mux,packet, raw value or string ...??
Implementing a DID starts from the Diagnostic SW implementation. Where you need to define the purpose of that DID and where it can be used and in which Diag Sessions it should work, and which data it can access from the ECU Memory Location. If you are done with this data, then you can implement it in the ECU Basic SW.
How do normal people and companies raise the funds to pay for these tools? I worked in automotive for 20 years and hardware were never even allowed CANAlyzer, let alone CANoe, CANdela or any of the other Matlab style additions.

This is due to the fact that you have more signals and running for a long time. Best method is to apply a filter before the logging block and pass only the required CAN channels. Also if you save the file in .asc format it consumes more space. You can zip the same
