Sometimes it’s hard to quantify what it is about a video that makes it great, but this one is triple GREAT! Melissa’s smiling at the end had me grinning from ear to ear. The beauty of your property was such a treat to watch. I caught the amazing view from Melissa’s table on the trail. WOW! Thank you for featuring the Stilh battery chain saw! It did a wicked job! I’m saving up for one to help with my turning projects This is a keeper video! You guys rock. Thanks for your efforts to setup, shoot, produce and share snippets of your lives outdoors. Y’all have a Day!
Hey Mike and Melissa, why didn’t Mike video while he was installing the elevator for Melissa??? Thought I ask?🤗 . There are so many people who have no idea of how you two work, share, and get along so well yet they try to tell you how to live your life. Never seen to many questions of why you work so well, get along with each other, and love each other and your family so much ! If they only knew!!! You two did a great job on the video about the battery operated Stihl Chainsaw, that saw and battery along with the properly sharpened chain cuts great. Thanks for sharing with us. Has Melissa found a coupon for a forestry winch yet ? 😁
Today I received your thank you card, your reply to my having sent Mike a birthday card! You all are are sincerely appreciated...you're all a second family for me. Thank you for all your hard work in making and posting videos. You've touched me... you truly have!
I don't understand why anyone would give a thumbs down for these videos. They are a couple working together outdoors. They demonstrate how they use different types of equipment. Could be helpful information for a lot of people. I think you two are a hard working couple doing a good job. I enjoy your videos.
I'm really impressed with the way Melissa helps out . Most women wouldn't even do half of what she does. The fact that she does pick up heavy wood and carry it really impresses me definitely a keeper
Mike the odds in Vegas of getting the mini cabin done before the first deep freeze is about the same as mellisa getting her pool next spring. Those battery power chain saws are great for clearing brush and small trees. Carry it on the mower for clearing the stuff that grows over the edge onto the grass . I have a 56v Ego with a 14 inch bar and can tell a 20 inch tree and do some bucking and then it's time for the spare battery. My Stihl MS261 is my go to see. You guys know what each other does the best, so keep it up.
Mike, I keep the 60v. DEWALT DCCS690X1 40V Chainsaw 7.5AH in my CanAm Defender. It always starts out here in Colorado, even down to sub-zero, and there's no cranking with a pull rope: Mash the trigger. Keep an extra charged battery in the tool box, and you're good to go. Not for production, wood-lot use, but great for everything else.
You two work together better than any two I know. Melissa, no need to explain your part but defending Mike as you did ~ 5 thumbs up! Mike you one hell of a lucky man. Now onto the important part - that little saw did one heck of a job on that tree. surprised me the battery lasted as long with more in reserve. Nice load. Cardio workout there for Melissa for sure. Have a good night and stay safe.
Another great demonstration video. Without a doubt the best way to maximize the efficiency of battery saws is by keeping the chain sharpened. Less time/power per cut.
My battery powered Stihl Saw really last a long time and I love it. Anything that helps keep me going without changing batteries is perfect for me. Having it on hand around the property line turning it off and on constantly makes you appreciate the power of the battery. They both have there place. Lets see how you guys do? "Of all the things we cherish in life it is those things that we take for granted that have the most value. We have lost ourselves in the belief that the more we have the happier we will be. It is the simple things in life that you will remember when your examination of who you are is revealed. Your love of family, your faith in a higher power and your ability to look at yourself in the mirror and have respect for the reflection starring back at you. Live every moment with intent knowing that all of this except our love for each other and the willingness we have to show it will be the only tangible evidence of our existence" ~ George Wheeler
So ugh enjoy your videos, being an old South Georgia farm boy I can really relate to what you do. I’m 74 now retired an living in Florida. Keep the videos coming, I watch every day.😎😎😎😎
Don't take the unsolicited advice about work division to heart. Melissa's the workout, fitness lover, and Mike's doing what he loves with tools and video/production management. Everybody's doing what they love. A win-win, any way you cut it (gas or electric). Disagree about "brains of the operation." That's 50/50, too. These videos are warm-blanket family stuff for those of us in "fly-over." Keep up the great work.
FYI- there is a recall on that saw. I found it while searching for info. Thanks for all your videos & sharing your family with all of us. God Bless, John
Hi Melissa, Mike, i have 6 Stihl gas saws, but, I ended up with a DeWalt battery chainsaw. I looked at the Stihl saws, but the cost was difficult to digest, and I already had a bunch of 5 AH DeWalt batteries. I think a turkey carving video with the Stihl would be great. Everyone would enjoy it!!!
It’s been a Very Long time since we’ve had American Made products like STIHL that are such High Quality and Super Durable products. Kudo’s to Stihl. 👍👍👍
Electric chainsaws are great, get yourself a small solar system to charge your electric tool batteries like us. It's great not having to get fuel ever a year now I haven't bought any for tools 👍
Hi Morgan’s, Well what can you say, you two are a great team. We can tell you’re first above all best friends and enjoy 😊 just being together. Doesn’t matter cutting firewood, doing landscaping, or whatever your a team. Very much a reason why we enjoy you’re channel. My wife and I are very similar, we do most everything together. It doesn’t seem like work if you’re doing what you like. All the best to you and the family. Mellisa 50 is the new 30 mikes a lucky guy.
You two work very well together. My wife and I also work together very well! We worked in our cycle shop this evening installing a new chimney for our Brunco wood furnace! The wife was a huge help as always! We also cut and split wood together. She's my bestest friend and also a huge help! We really enjoy your video's! Please keep them going! PS. I saw you two at Paul Bunyan, but I didn't get a chance to interact with you all. Maybe next year! Love Ringo & Coleena❤
After seeing this episode, Crystal has decided that she wants a 161T. Easy to use and you don't have to cold start it. Great vid, keep up the good work. God Bless!
You make a great team. I love it that no excuses, what works for you may not work for others but that’s their issue. Keep the morganization machine rolling.
Oof! Melissa is in horn bustin mode today! One of the great things about a team that works well together is that the type of job any one member does just naturally falls into place; there is no competition about who does more or less work, the work just gets done more efficiently. That poor little Stihl...I could see it beginning to cry, sniff, sniif. :) Great video M&M, thumbs up!
Mike one of the good things about seeding grass in the fall, is that the grass will sprout before the leaves come out in the spring. Hopefully the turkeys were more interested in the grubs and little critters exposed by Little Tooth than the grass seed...we'll see.
I bought an electric for wood yard trimming. I found it rather slow relative to the gas saw. The short bar meant that I had to sharpen it often, and the chain oil leaks. But it is not a Stihl. Good to see Stihl has come out with one. Good to see grass growing on your ground.
Hi Mike, It does amaze me how far these battery tools have come in the last few years, I wouldn't have expected your chainsaw to cut all that wood! A few weeks ago I was working with some tree surgeons and I actually laughed at their Stihl battery equipment, they had petrol chainsaws there too. They went on to tell me how good they actually were, especially the top handled chainsaw, great for climbing, no engine to start! I must admit I'm a bit of a petrol head and I like to have an internal combustion engine on a machine! Thanks for the great video.
I used to burn wood for heat a number of years ago. My favorite all around saw was a Stihl 015 with a 14" blade. It too was an arborist saw but it sure was light, cut fast and most handiest saw I have ever owned. My grandson now has it and would not trade it for a much new saw.
I bought the EGO chainsaw and pole saw and I impressed with them. I have cut some large trees down with it. Only thing you need the big battery. It really lasts a long time when cutting. One thing I have found it is great for trimming limbs off and smaller logs but when I just start cutting logs for fire wood it does run down.
I love to see you guys working together, my wife Donna would do whatever needed to be done until breast cancer, she would work hard around the house, she was my bow hunting partner and we would do everything together. She has beaten breast cancer twice, and today we will go for her 6 Month scan to make sure she is still cancer free. With this being said, it doesn't matter what people say or think, ultimately you need to cherish your time together and enjoy each other to the fullest. BTW, These new battery tools are the bomb. Love you guys, keep up the good work and God bless you all.
@@flash1259, my wife is my best friend and would be lost without her. I thank God in Heaven for his blessings. The closeness we have to our wives should be admired because, you just don't find this anymore. That's why I enjoy watching the Morgans.
The game is called Dodgeball or in your case dodge wood and if you get hit your out of the game lol. Good vid, keep them coming . Love the positivity and energy in all your video also the teamwork of you guys together and the chemistry together you have . I can see that the not so positive commenters are probably just a little jealous of that .
Most of my tools now have been converted to battery operation. More than capable of doing the jobs the previous fuelled tools could do without the smell and expense of fuel. Nice vid guys.
Excellent. Thank you. I climb with 200/201’s but love the lack of noise from battery equipment. This really cut a good amount. Looks like more than enough battery for an average removal.
I love that you know how you work best together. It looks like you figured it out through communication with one another. My wife and I feel that communication is the best for a successful relationship. Also, check out the band The Ghost of Paul Revere. I think you’ll find songs that you will enjoy. Have a day!
Melissa & Mike greeting from wintery central WI w/3.5 " of fresh snow and 16° at 930cst. Not able to run a standard chainsaw anymore have been thinking of the 160T for my small clean up jobs. Thanks for the great video using it. Made up my mind. Also BIG 👋 to Hunter👍👍🤗
That battery saw made a lot more cuts than i thought it would, nice saw. Melissa had me laughing at the end with her comments pencil, turkey, and exit out of frame.......
Melissa you are a work horse no log will get away that for sure. You both are a great team plus it help, you in your workout training. Great smile excellent work big thumbs up tp the both of you. TEAM WORK 👍👍👍👍👍
Hey Morgans - Good morning to you both. I would just ignore the negative comments and do what you both obviously enjoy doing. My wife and I enjoy doing most things together and we have friends tell us we are nuts to spend as much time together as we do - but it works for us and we love it. Your life to live as you see fit IMO. Have a Great day!!
I love my 14inch Battery Saw,I use it about half the time and it has a no tool adjustment chain tensioner(Lynxx,by Harbor Freight),It cuts down on the amount of gas and oil that I have to handle and buy. It'll cut pretty large stuff like 16inch rounds occasionaly and only takes 1 hour to recharge. Not as fast or last as long as my Sthil 18inch no tool and 20 inch but still very handy.I've had this Battery Saw for 3 years and no problems so far.Love the Videos!
It looks like the Stihl battery powered chainsaw does a good job for what it is. I recently bought a DeWalt battery operated chainsaw for my wife to use while we work out on our property. It's small and light enough for her to handle for a lot of the small stuff that we are cleaning up. The only reason I chose the DeWalt was because it uses the same battery/charger that I already have for some of my other tools. It is also a handy thing to have on the side-by-side when driving our trails.
The game that Melissa was referring to in this video is Bocce and is played on courts and for fun in sand , grass and other surfaces. Love the info on the battery powered saw.
Can't beat a Stihl chain Saw, and also you both are lucky, you love each other and work and do things together, my wife would back at the house, she cooks and cleans and I make the mess. Have A Day
I have the Stihl battery saw and leaf blower. Both of the are handy. I leave the saw in my side by side to trim my trails of fallen limbs. Also to trim around our deer stands as needed. My wife likes the blower because she doesn’t like to start the gas blower and hates to drag around the electric cord. The batteries interchange so we usually always have an extra charged battery just in case.
I see nothing wrong with The chores being shared as long as both parties are happy with the arrangement, besides it's good exercise and y'all both seem happy.
Hey guys, totally disregard those "low class" comments that "fans" sent your way!! You 2 are a perfect example of a team, each of who are comfortable with each other, and who work together to complete the job. Melissa, make sure that Stihl do not "steal" your humorous lines for use in an ad. Go Team Morgan!!
Hi Mike n Melissa. After many years in marketing, working with folks all over the USA, I’ve observed hard working, successful people rarely make negative comments. I grew up on a farm and can operate machinery. If given the choice Melissa, I’d chose your job. Exercise in the woods much more rewarding than the gym. Mike, I’m happy to see the great advancement in battery life. I worked with DeWalt Marketing when batteries were Nickel Cadmium. 99% of the comments/complaints were about battery life. Lithium Ion to the rescue. Gary, Huntersville NC
That would be a great camping saw or for the wife to limb with. But to small for everyday wood cutting... Dewalt is amazing with all there battery tool. The 60v table saw and miter saw... using those 60v battery in a grinder or circular saw is simply amazing. There brushless tools are great the battery lasts forever it seems compared to my 18v... Great video as always...
Mike you brought back good memories on that old school deer hunting lantern light...got one for Christmas as a kid..."Top Dog" Probably softwood like maple or pine lasts longer vs oak "Allrighty Then" Melissa
The Morgans rocking partnership is refreshing. If it ain't broke as is said. Keep up the great content. Fyi Hunters costume was awesome! How about an update on the e-bike performance.
When a day comes and no video, I worry something has happened to mike. Boy winter is just about here and looking forward to pond repair, building for mill, mini cabin etc, just not enough hours in a day. Best to you both.
Think you guys have invented a new game, "Dodge Round". LOL Ignore all the haters. Most of us love watching how you two work so well together. Reminds me of my wife and I.
Hey Mike you did a great job with the battery powered saw you wouldn't believe it but it did a great job one more thing i think it would be good ideal if you would build a set of hand rails for the staircase that melissa keeps going up and down for safety
Mike, I used a Husqvarna battery operated Pole saw this summer to cleanup dead branches and cut up some dense brush around the house. I was surprised how long I was able to cut on the one battery. I believe that battery tech has come a long long way and we are still in for more improvements. I would love to see you use a Stihl msa200C-BQ battery saw out int he bush. Interested to know how it would perform. Excellent video as usual. Thank you for sharing.
Hey Mike and Melissa! I run a snowcat in Southern Oregon and I've been using 18-volt Black and Decker chain saws and pole saws for more than 10 years. They are very handy for small hangers across our trail from the snow loads (feather wood) This last summer I purchased a 120i Husqvarna. It has a 14-inch bar on it and actually looks like a chainsaw. It uses the same size cutting tooth that the 16-inch saws use. I looked at the Stihls and the bars looked like ... well, toys. A tiny bar and funny looking taper point and a tiny chain. So, I passed on them from the looks alone. Now the Husqvarna works okay. The problem I have with it is the battery management. It senses that the motor is pulling too much load and it shuts down. Not impressed that the saw shuts down in the middle of a cut. I have to press the battery button to shut it down, wait a few seconds and push the button again and maybe it will start to run again. It has a regular speed button and then a lower speed button I believe for longer battery life. Now for small limps and trees less than 4 to 5 inches, it great! But for dropping dead snags that are more than 10 inches, nope, I don't recommend it. You don't want your saw shutting down on the last bit of hold wood! It's possible that it is pulling more chain (load) than what it should be. Maybe, that why the Stihl has a smaller chain? Anyway, great video. Let us know if the 161 shuts down as well. Maybe it's just my saw. Oh and by the way, it will cut a small truckload of firewood on one charge.
James Gulrich perhaps a larger battery powering your chainsaw will reduce the times cutting with the chainsaw overloads the battery. I have Ego tools with 5 and 2.5 ahr batteries. Powering tools with a smaller battery sometimes results in the tool turning off & the battery light flashing red, especially in warmer weather.
@@kdegraa I've checked online for larger capacity batteries that fit the 120i but no luck. Also, they sell the replacement batteries for $10 more than I paid for the original package (saw, battery and charger). Marketing! They know that you will want an extra battery! But $205 for a 4hr battery! I did find a deal for two batteries for $360. Not sure I like this saw enough for that kind of money.
All of my saws are gas, but I have a bunch of Dewalt battery tools and I am impressed with the life of the new technology they have advanced in batteries.

I have a Ryobi battery saw with a 14" bar. I found that its a trim saw mostly, which is great because I bought it to trim 4x4 trails.
That saw is great for what it was intended for and then some. Great video Melissa & Mike
I see nothing wrong with The chores being shared as long as both parties are happy with the arrangement, besides it's good exercise and y'all both seem happy.
Love the 161T! Looking it up now to purchase one for those swamp trees that need to come down after the freeze! Thanks!
Doing what you feel comfortable with is important keeps it fun.Love the saw perfect for my
campfire needs.
I bought the Stihl battery powered hedge trimmer this Spring and haven’t looked back. Lighter than my gas powered, much simpler than my corded models.
Nice steady-cam shots. Thanks. Other youtubers bounce their shot all over the place. As if the viewers like that kind of shot.
Saw is impressive. Thanks Mike and Melissa
When a day comes and no video, I worry something has happened to mike. Boy winter is just about here and looking forward to pond repair, building for mill, mini cabin etc, just not enough hours in a day. Best to you both.
mike , how did you not laugh when melissa said man bag!! lol
Much better than, man sack! 😄✌🏻❗
@@darinmendez33 lol
How's the mini cabin coming along? Can't wait to see it!
That movie would be Dumb and Dumber!
woman, i'm confident in you being able to to handle firewood _and_ learn to efficiently run every piece of equipment there. do what you want to do.
just be careful doing it ( as should anybody ) 😋
MELISSA… MSA 161T a turkey carver?? Lol That’s cute.
I just saw an electric knife that was shaped like a chainsaw...
Mike at Thanksgiving dinner:
"Umm, honey..... why does this *turkey* taste like Red Oak mixed with Stihl bar oil???"
;-)
@@PatrickWagz That doesn't sounds half bad to me. I've had both those flavors in mouth before...
Think you guys have invented a new game, "Dodge Round". LOL Ignore all the haters. Most of us love watching how you two work so well together. Reminds me of my wife and I.
Y’all do make a great team !! Keep up the great work , your friends from Texas.
I am very impressed with that saw.
Loved the load you got off that small saw, really impressive.
Good job guys. That electric saw did real good too.
The jumping down the elevator shaft in the woods for panning out......love it!
Hey folks! That saw surprised me with the battery life but I'm Stihl crazy after all these years 👍
Always nice to check your feeds...we're in the snow here now...time to hunk 'r down !
You will be cold driving that new mustang convertible on January 19th but we want to see the video!
The Mustang will probably have heated leather seats!!
Hey Mike you did a great job with the battery powered saw you wouldn't believe it but it did a great job one more thing i think it would be good ideal if you would build a set of hand rails for the staircase that melissa keeps going up and down for safety
Getten it Done With The Battery Saw!! 😂👍👊
YOU TWO WORK VERY WELL TOGETHER!
I really like that little Stihl. A neat little saw. Thanks for the video. 👍👍👍❤️
Those battery powered saws are the perfect thing to keep in a camper or motor home to cut campfire wood
Boy I sure do miss fall. Here in Wisconsin we went from HOT summer to spring to snowy cold winter in a matter of a week.
IH Farmer supposed to be single digits tomorrow AM ! Then almost 40s Saturday... bizarre!
All of my saws are gas, but I have a bunch of Dewalt battery tools and I am impressed with the life of the new technology they have advanced in batteries.
All my DeWalt tools are the 20v... Have you tried any of the 60v tools? I've been thinking about getting the 60v circular, sawzall and Hammer drill
HaHa! To the naysayers! Teamwork! My wife and I are the same way, just in our 60’s now! Cut and Processed 3 cords yesterday!
Would your wife consider training mine? Lol...
@@BigKeithDog Haha mine won't even help stack while I split by hand
@@wyohorseman9948 My wife and I have an unspoken agreement... I do all the work, she does all the shopping!!🤣
That little battery powered saw is quite impressive. Love the camo hat...Go Pens!
After using my Husky 536lixp today, I really would recommend using some ear plugs for extended periods of cutting with a battery powered saw.
