I saw Benny Goodman perform at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia in the 1980s when he was an older man. His rendition of “Body and Soul” brought the house to its feet.

I liked the music, I liked the way it was played.
I find it interesting that none of the bands or singer seem to be from the USA.
All of them seem to be European or Asian bands / singers.
I wish there were more interest in this type of music to keep bands in play in the USA.

It is a music and culture that America seems to have forgotten. I am an immigrant, I didn't grow up with this. But, I know what America means, and this music is a big part of it.
