    If you find free space on your bench you could easily maintain an Amiga 500. If you are able to repair an Atari 8bit or a C64 I think you could easily repair an Amiga 500 . The Amiga 500's "philosophy" is similar to the Atari 8bit so most faults can be diagnosed really easy with a second machine plus all ICs come in sockets!

    Great room and collection. Really happy to hear about your knowledge and appreciation for the Atari 8bit line. I am jealous of your "beautiful Summer morning" and the location of your retro collection (basement) because my retro collection is located on the top floor and the days here are way to hot (Aegean Sea) so I avoid firing on any of my retro machines during the last two months of the Summer.

    I really enjoyed that, and watched the whole thing (thanks for the mention)! I think it's great having so many usable systems in one spot like that. Are all the shelves etc. from IKEA? It was neat to spot the EA coasters and see your actual collection.

      Thanks Robin! Yes, the desk is built from five Kallax units and three Lagkapten desk tops. Everything just barely fit the 9'x6' area.

    Quite a collection but I just fast-forwarded through the video because the background noise was so obnoxious would love to watch the whole thing if you cleaned up the audio.

      @ClassOf90Retro  10 месяцев назад

      Yes, if you're referring to the high pitched noise from the monitors, unfortunately RUclips gives no ability to replace a video in-place once uploaded. Most folks old enough to have used these machines in their day can no longer hear the noise. :) Consider yourself fortunate.

    Ouch, that high frequency sound makes it hard to watch)

    • @ClassOf90Retro
      @ClassOf90Retro  Год назад +1

      Wait...you can hear that? Must be the 15KHz feedback from the monitors...I wouldn't have thought my phone and then the journey to RUclips would have recorded it! I haven't heard it since...2005? 😊I envy your ears (and will look for a way to suppress it...)
