I didn’t know the Mona Lisa had added security since the Dan Brown book 🙁.

You are delightful as well as informative! So glad I stumbled into you today while looking up info on Lee Krasner. I became curious about Krasner while trying to figure out why Pollock, whom I’ve never thought was a great artist, has been considered so bloody important. And voila--there I was face to face with The Art Doctor’s installment on Ms Krasner! I like her work a Lot and find her a much more talented and compelling artist than poor ol’ Jackson. Thank you so much. I’m looking forward to becoming much better acquainted. Meanwhile, please keep spoiling us!

What stands out for me are her blue eyes.

I think we all know the solution to most of these problems. We all need to tweet Elon Musk to go out, buy shedloads of masters, then immediately sell them for massive losses to flood the market and hence devalue all the private art collections in the world, then go out and pay top dollar for artworks by up and coming female and POC artists which will in turn make them more valuable to collectors. It makes more sense than Dogecoin and NFTs to be fair.

OMG that is a brilliant idea! Now, who has Elon's number?

my god, it looks like all the wrong people found this video! Every point you made here is beyond valid and I'm glad you always dedicate time and energy to speak on aspects of the art world that are in desperate need of improvements. I think lately I've heard of collectors making active efforts to include female artists and art from non-European/North American countries in their collections. There's still a long way to go but I believe there is hope for the art world yet. Love your channel!

    Art is not painting.

Wokie expert says nothing about art.
Regulation of the art market is an oxymoron.
We don't have to be told famous art may be bad and uknown art may be excellent.
This apparently out of work phd is not involved in art but in making a buck.
She says the Mona Lisa was not famous till Dan Brown !

My goodness. How shallow. And dismissive. Please move on. We won’t miss you.

Boo Hoo men are bad. I love art, but your rant is kinda crazy.

Not once did this delightful and compelling professional say or even imply that men were “bad”. She pointed out and underscored the “facts”. It seems you may be overly sensitive. Insecure? Comments like yours always make me wonder.
