Re the Circle, the Post Office is where a Lady's and Gent's hairdressers use to be called Tom's, worked there during the mid sixties. Brought up and lived just a few streets away. My local, The St Helier Arms, which was the centre of much fun and a little violence at times. I see the parking problems haven't changed. Believe it or not it was a wonderful area to grow up. Local schools, easy access to the West End or nearby cinemas. Good times and the memories of close friends.
My mum worked in the laundry at the end of the row, my mate, and later Best Man worked in Ted’s for many years (his mum worked in the butchers), knew the Fishmongers kids from school, and had my first pint in the Arms. I always pop into the cafe when I’m back home, just for the comfortable Chelseaness of the place.
Never thought I'd see this on RUclips! I lived here for 18 years before moving up to the Midlands nearly 19 years ago. The Pearl China Chinese restaurant is a belter and Melvn Clarke's is a really good DIY/ironmonger's shop. I bought my first tools from there, very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Nice to see it again. The parade of shops didn't have a pub unfortunately, about the only thing that was missing. Bit of a walk up to the Ponds to get to the Greyhound. If it's still there.
Simon thanks for the video lots of memories but now Live in Orillia Ontario Canada but do miss Carshalton

Switching walking driving seamlessly, very nice, almost as-if you suddenly broke into a dash between cars.
Cheers

That’s awesome. Thank you. I did Carshalton High St a few weeks ago that you may want to check out. ruclips.net/video/jTYu_zTB9j8/видео.html
Great format! I like the fast forward bits and how did you get the high angle video?
