I downloaded this after watching your vid. Played a few hours. What a game! Lots of fun. The other cool thing is, lots of the people talking in chat are playing because of you - meaning a lot of your community are playing, which is nice and chill with a lot off ggwp's post match. Looking at the comms system and other things the game has to offer, I can see this getting very organised - like squad, but still fun. Gem of a game.
how did you get to play? i keep getting told the servers are closed and the "open" date keeps getting later and later. just told me right now it will open in 4w days
Screw AAA graphics. If the visual style allows for stupidly high framerates I'll take that tradeoff. Especially with all these mechanics in one package.
Genuinely this is proving just how crap AAA developers are greedy and lazy. An indie game with better mechanics and features with a bigger player base than a AAA title that’s been around over 15 years… amazing and I hope they get backing to take it further
I think making a game with 2042 visuals is really hard.. takes alot of the development time where as a game like this is very simple to make somewhat.. I bet if dice gavethere engine to these devs they wouldn't be able to make there game work at all unless it's polygons... or if they just make it for next Gen which bf 2042 should of been
It was a shock to go from bf4 to bf1, and see all the cool customization stuff they removed. I feel like I sit down to play any of the new battlefield games, and end up just going back to bf4. This game seems like its much in the same spirit.
Bf1 was my first multiplayer battlefield game and I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially because of the atmosphere. As for the newer ones though, they seem horrendous.
I think this (and a few other games) prove that the higher player count isn't an inherent issue with BF2042, merely poor map design. Will be interesting to see where Battlebit goes from here, but definitely a dark horse to keep an eye on.
@@lieutenantbl4ck Look up MAG. its a console game that had 256 players and it released back in 2010. It played better than most high count FPS games in the market now.
Unfortunately the servers are down for the next 43 days. However, the game is only 1.4GB right now which is astonishing considering they have 6 pretty damn big maps. Love to see the Battlefield gameplay with revamped destruction mechanics. And the bandaging/healing/dragging/reviving seems very similar to Squad as well as the deployable cover. Looks very promising!
Played this yesterday - Honestly some of the most fun ive had gaming in ages - looking forward to seeing its future. Dice take notes on how to make a game.
Games like these prove that gamers just want a fun game with challenging (and balanced) mechanics to master. No need for fanfare, gamerblog articles, whatever. Just make a fun game with depth and you know the adage, "if you build it, they will come."
I’m so happy I stumbled across this video. The fact that Jack gets more hyped up with every discovery, big and small, is super refreshing. Can’t wait to try it!
The good thing with simpler graphics is that the game will be easy to run making it more accessible. This means more players. It also means that visibility in the game shouldn't be an issue and identifying where you are being shot from will be less frustrating.
There are many ways to deal with player model visibility Example like Csgo, the player model contrast has higher value compared to the maps hence being easier to spot people despite having the same "dull colour" like the maps
This game looks so well thought out. Like they looked at battlefield and some hard core games and said “wouldn’t it be great if we took everything great about these games and put them into one game? And then fixed the big issues they all have?”
This game is EXACTLY my type of game. Its a war game with so many realistic aspects to it. Leaning, healing, medics, classes, hell even a new feature called dragging. Its got a big starting playerbase which is amazing since it means lobbies can be filled for hours and have tons of fun in there. Top that with simple graphics and its just something to love unconditionally.
Voip, large amount of weapons, mw19s gunsmith system, better destruction than any bf, runs on a toaster, no stupid cosmetics or battle pass or "live service" I tried this game a couple months ago during a playtest didn't think I'd like it cause it's ugly but it's a blast
How can you kill a lot of people and find everyone cute as fuck at the same time? Medics draging people made me laugh so much. I'm playing this tomorrow after work for sure.
Genuinely mate, all these mechanics with the HD visuals and its a better experience hands down I even like the TTK, the bandages, the extra click on the snipers
The gameplay, thoughtfulness of the level design and physics are outstanding! Really looking forward to this game's release. Even with the low poly count graphics. It's easy to overlook that if the game is fun and plays how Battlefield should play.
I think that dragging mechanic would be more beneficial for games like BFV, since it’s the battlefield that have the slowest and most risky revive mechanic. In 2042 revive is too fast for anyone to bother to drag anyone to safety
Please do more videos of this game! I love how complicated and well developed this game gets to be because it’s defaults to the simplest graphics possible. Opens up a ton of gameplay potential! And with such a high player cap
Yo this honestly looks FUN! The menu stats are super helpful and team play seems to be a priority in design. I’m a big BFV medic fan sooo those health mechanics make me v stoked Thanx for showing this off Jack! Great find!!
I think the graphics are also playing to their strenghts. With their resources, making a highly textured game with detailed modelling would seriously hamper development of other aspects. So having a simpler and stylized artstyle lets them focus more on the core game. And if that's solid, they can always go back and update models and textures if the game is successful enough.
You should play this more and give it more exposure xD I feel the only thing keeping this game from becoming an overwhelming success and mopping the floor with 2042 is the graphics. If they could somehow bring those GFX up even in a minor way, it’s game over.
@@AlexD-yb4mp Yeah, it has it's style. And it looks like it woks flawlessly even with such player count on the map. This can be much harder to achieve with more detailed graphics. As well as destruction. Maybe player models could be made mode detailed though.

the Playtest is closed for now, it should open again sometime in April But yes, This game is what 2042 should have been. Its a wonderful blending of Arma 3, and Battlefield 4, as someone who tried arma, but couldn't get into it due to complexity and performance issues, this hits the spot for me
The scale of BF2042 The class system and destruction of BF4 With some extra hardcore mechanics from Insurgency And the art style/low performance requirements of Phantom Forces I think I'm in love
When a roblox game has better gameplay, gunplay, and features and makes me wanna play it more than a Triple A studio game does after 6 months of it being out.

literally the best time for the game to come out aswell
When it will release tho?
@@michaelmyer8101 you can play it
same bro the devs are really nice
I've never even heard of it before today. I found it this morning. Wow. The animation threw me off in the beginning. But man is this real good. I haven't been this giddy to get onto a game in a long while! Lmfao
This actually looks really fun. I also loved Jack's reaction to everything lol
This game looks HILARIOUSLY AMAZING! You can see the Battlefield influence, and somehow it has more features than BF2042, and less bugs! The graphics are the only thing 2042 has over this game, although the many times 2042 fails to load properly puts the graphics on par with this game.
Its not necessarily the graphics that’s different, its the models and assets used that are different
@@tyreese2012 yep
I personally like the blocky look of the game
More fps this way
when someone has a genuine passion to make a good game this is what comes out of it
I downloaded this after watching your vid.
@@stolenboistudios it stopped 2 days ago. You have to wait 46 days
Yeah I was late to the party as well. It’s unfortunate that we have to wait as of right now but oh well might as well wait
Greetings fellow Mule!
Wtf how did I not hear of this, this is by far a game changer, so simple yet has so many amazing features we all love.
It's like a mix of the best of Battlefield and Squad. Basically a dream game, if the graphics were AAA like...
pubg..
I want it for console
Screw AAA graphics. If the visual style allows for stupidly high framerates I'll take that tradeoff. Especially with all these mechanics in one package.
AM I GOOD AT FPS GAMES? 🥺👀
@@CDL_Gaming That's why it would be a dream game
Genuinely this is proving just how crap AAA developers are greedy and lazy.
An indie game with better mechanics and features with a bigger player base than a AAA title that’s been around over 15 years… amazing and I hope they get backing to take it further
dont confuse the developers with the publishers, its the big fish making the atrocious decisions, not the developers.
I think making a game with 2042 visuals is really hard.. takes alot of the development time where as a game like this is very simple to make somewhat.. I bet if dice gavethere engine to these devs they wouldn't be able to make there game work at all unless it's polygons... or if they just make it for next Gen which bf 2042 should of been
@@gamingeuphoria7928 i mean DICE cant even get their own game to work on their own engine so obviously the battlebit devs wouldnt be able to 🤣🤣
Idk about the lazy part tho..
@@gamingeuphoria7928 bf5 and bf1 look better than bf 2042. Stop making excuses, the game just outright sucks
It was a shock to go from bf4 to bf1, and see all the cool customization stuff they removed. I feel like I sit down to play any of the new battlefield games, and end up just going back to bf4. This game seems like its much in the same spirit.
Me too man, idk how mfs play these newer battlefields when BF4 was the last good one :(
@@GHOST5800000 Come and play BF4 then, there is still populated servers on PC at least
@@GHOST5800000 Take a look at world war 3. I'm enjoying that one alot over 2042.
Bf1 is my favourite battlefield and im not afraid to say it
Bf1 was my first multiplayer battlefield game and I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially because of the atmosphere. As for the newer ones though, they seem horrendous.
I think this (and a few other games) prove that the higher player count isn't an inherent issue with BF2042, merely poor map design. Will be interesting to see where Battlebit goes from here, but definitely a dark horse to keep an eye on.
The high player count is really terrible on most battlebit maps though
@@lieutenantbl4ck Look up MAG. its a console game that had 256 players and it released back in 2010. It played better than most high count FPS games in the market now.
@jay matthews Yeah, the 60on60 servers have been my favorite for most of the maps. But th 240 servers have been such a laughable gongshow. So much fun
Performance is the biggest problem
@@Midz350i MAG & Planetside 2!
Yea i think their goal is to be available to low end pc players so that they doesn't have to download tons of giga byte of 32K QHD HQ Graphics
I was looking forward to trying this out... Then saw the 41 day wait.
@@Merrunz what's up with the wait? are they trying to make the servers bigger to account for a bigger gamerbase now or something?
@@AsianRevelation1 Its because this is like an alpha, the game will become early access in a couple of months
how to kill your game as fast as possible right after it hits the limelight.
this is not a competition, its an execution with how freaking fun battlebit is
Played this yesterday - Honestly some of the most fun ive had gaming in ages - looking forward to seeing its future. Dice take notes on how to make a game.
@Buck honestly with all the turnover at DICE in recent years I don't think they have anyone left who really knows what they're doing.
This game seems like it includes everything legacy DICE did right and removed the BS
Jack, Tommy and Bong playing this would be hilarious.
Yes, I wanna see this happen!
The running out of ammo thing sounds like a really good feature to implement into vehicles.
I hope engineers can resupply them too!
Ik it stops fuckers from camping in a tank like in battlefield
This game just oozes love for the Battlefield games it seems. It's like all the ideas Battlefield had in one package. It's actually pretty amazing.
Games like these prove that gamers just want a fun game with challenging (and balanced) mechanics to master. No need for fanfare, gamerblog articles, whatever. Just make a fun game with depth and you know the adage, "if you build it, they will come."
Wow, man of culture 👌👍
@@jacktyler58 Good one! lol its always funny how famous quotes are often not even the real quote. thx for the correction

This is my fav game at the moment, i literally set alarms for when the server goes on, i count the to hours to play it.
I’m so happy I stumbled across this video. The fact that Jack gets more hyped up with every discovery, big and small, is super refreshing. Can’t wait to try it!
Solid gunplay if u are a true fps fan and can bypass the low poly gfx u can really have fun in this one
Personally for me the low poly art style is a bonus, plus it runs great on my low end PC
@@fuzzybloodpc9291 I kind of like it as well, has its own kind of charm much like Oldschool Runescape graphics.
Looks like roblox, dont mind it its actually kind of cool
yeah reminds me of Phantom Forces for Roblox, feels similar and i loved that aswell lol
@@fuzzybloodpc9291 supposedly the devs got the inspiration to make this from not being able to run Squad on their low end laptops.
I lost it when I saw you could drag other players.
Such a cool mechanic!
The true battlefield experience
The good thing with simpler graphics is that the game will be easy to run making it more accessible. This means more players. It also means that visibility in the game shouldn't be an issue and identifying where you are being shot from will be less frustrating.
AND LESS BUGS TOO !!!
There are many ways to deal with player model visibility
Example like Csgo, the player model contrast has higher value compared to the maps hence being easier to spot people despite having the same "dull colour" like the maps
@@msr9042 dude.. I love the chaos man.. I played it during playtest.. it was so fun.. they needa release it..

How can you kill a lot of people and find everyone cute as fuck at the same time? Medics draging people made me laugh so much. I'm playing this tomorrow after work for sure.
I want this to come out already. I never catch the playtest dates.
Looks amazing.
Bruh imagine this game with Battlefield's graphics 😭💀
DICE messed up so badly, smh 🤦🏽♂️
Genuinely mate, all these mechanics with the HD visuals and its a better experience hands down
I even like the TTK, the bandages, the extra click on the snipers
dont need the graphics. ill take lower graphics for more performance
@@rambo-cambo3581 if they can fine tune the audio to make it more immersive, it's GG.
The gameplay, thoughtfulness of the level design and physics are outstanding! Really looking forward to this game's release. Even with the low poly count graphics. It's easy to overlook that if the game is fun and plays how Battlefield should play.
Downloaded this because of you. This game appears to be very polished with loads of features :) Glad to see some devs appreciating their community
Feels like a way for devs to try out mechanics without having to spend too much time on graphical fidelity, which is a great way to handle it tbh
Also means my ancient 980 Ti can probably run this in 4K, so I'm not complaining!
7:55 I feel like even something like this added to 2042 would increase the team play aspect soo much, and make you feel more emersed
I think that dragging mechanic would be more beneficial for games like BFV, since it’s the battlefield that have the slowest and most risky revive mechanic. In 2042 revive is too fast for anyone to bother to drag anyone to safety
@@hhyperxuserxd2680 Pretty sure it was promised for BFV and was never released.

@@Gaetano.94 what can I say with my MX250
This game is a great example that gameplay is more important than graphics
I think the graphics are also playing to their strenghts. With their resources, making a highly textured game with detailed modelling would seriously hamper development of other aspects. So having a simpler and stylized artstyle lets them focus more on the core game. And if that's solid, they can always go back and update models and textures if the game is successful enough.
Funny😂 as soon as I seen this I opened up steam and am currently installing :)
You should play this more and give it more exposure xD
I feel the only thing keeping this game from becoming an overwhelming success and mopping the floor with 2042 is the graphics. If they could somehow bring those GFX up even in a minor way, it’s game over.
I feel like it doesnt need that
@@AlexD-yb4mp Yeah, it has it's style. And it looks like it woks flawlessly even with such player count on the map. This can be much harder to achieve with more detailed graphics. As well as destruction. Maybe player models could be made mode detailed though.
@@adskiygamer the style is hella bland though, I dont mind low poly models but the lightning and everything is too flat
