I always feel for the lone parents having to leave this little community of people who are going through similar struggles. I had to parent my children solo from the ages of 3.5 (twins) and a 12 year old. I was extremely lucky that they were all relatively happy, calm children, and ten years on, they are well adjusted, kind, intelligent humans. If I'd had to experience what any of these families have, on top of being left to cope on my own, I honestly might have gone round the bend!
The dad is nice... but the mom and emma??? No. They are bossy and both the attention and feel so sorry for them selfs yuk. and emma feels like she is better than the rest
18:25 The kids reacting to the marker getting on the bed! “Lick it off somebody quick before anybody else comes!” And poor Tyler is literally trying to lick the blanket 😂
The only reason these two girls have anxiety is because of their Mother. SHE is the one that has put the stress and anxiety on them, and while I get that she's had serious health issues, transferring your own fears and anxieties to your kids is not healthy. God knows, there are actual "monsters" out there to worry about.
This terrible fear of animals is homemade by their parents ! This child never had a childhood like other children, she behaves like an adult and also talks like one, besides, she constantly has the feeling of having to take over the role of a leader. You can see this especially well when she plays with other children, whereby she plays less than giving instructions. With her sister she takes over the role of mother, I find that very sad and difficult to watch. In the time when her mother was ill, she took over this role and now she can hardly take it off again. She urgently needs other children with whom she can spend time, learn to let go and be a child again - without her sister! also a good therapy would certainly be helpful, one week is not enough
You are 100% bang on accurate with your assessment Joy. Emma is quite the little mother hen but I didn't consider that the behavior was in response to Mommy's illness. She looks so sad and uncertain all the time. I think Emma stresses about many things, not just bunnies & kittens attacking her. But I believe her overreacting to that is learned behavior brought on by all the pacifying and affection she receives during those displays. Doesn't that reaction from mommy and daddy confirm there is something to be frightened of?
I've worked in childcare for two decades and have never heard of someone using the fact that a child is a natural leader as a negative thing??? It's VERY common for older siblings, especially those with anxiety to have a very strong sense of responsibility for their younger sibling(s) and other children younger than them.
@@marylyn66 in what other instance has she been "bossy"? She's a well spoken, assertive young lady, and assuming this was presented in the order it was filmed in, her "bossiness" in the bedroom was likely a result of the loud shouting that happened when no one was in charge outside on the swings 🤷🤷
@@robynhayward did I specifically say the girl was bossy? I was generalizing and I just wondered how one identifies at a young age the difference. I only asked because of your experience. Its not important so forget about it.
I think Kelsie from a previous season might’ve been worse behaved than Keira. Similar mother-daughter dynamics. (Minus the divorce issues.) But Keira is two years older than Kelsie, who was around 4. I can’t imagine Kelsie at Keira’s age if she hadn’t gotten help. Anybody else see that series?
Me too. I simply cannot accept the mindset where a child is terrified of a cute furry little pet that she has a complete meltdown when she sees one. And her little sister has followed the example big sister has set so she responds ridiculously too. I have surrounded myself with dogs, cats and horses all my life and I like my horse more than I like anyone. I'm not saying I don't love my children more. I do. But day to day companionship - I'll take a dog over anyone. I still believe Emma overreacts because Mommy has always been so affectionate when pacifying her. That behavior has developed whereby Emma's reactions increase in severity due to the pampering and petting she received when overreacting instead of being taught hysterics were not going to get parents attention.
Does anyone know where ALL the videos can be found online for Dr. Tanya’s portions of the series? There’s supposed to be 6 episodes for a week but some of them don’t have all the episodes and I don’t know how they end!
That little Erin looks as if she could have been the source of inspiration for the artist who creates the images for Disney Studios' princesses and heroines for their movies like Ariel from The Little Mermaid or Beauty and The Beast (Belle?) And all the rest. She's so petite and expressive and quiet (In contrast to the other kids), almost ethereal as she moves about the playroom like Peter Pan's Tinkerbell! I just want to squeeze her to pieces! (in a nice way, of course)
I could not get over how adorable Erin is. She’s just too freaking cute for words. Most of the time, I had a cheesy smile while watching her interactions.
There should be no bottles in the house those are for year and younger . Throw all bottles out and get on with it . These parents baby the kids too much they’re not babies after 1 year old .
I agree that the two sisters should be separated with the animals, because instead of the younger one calming the older one, the opposite is now happening. I hope they keep up the exposure therapy when they go home, and even get a puppy.
Erins mothers stress seems to be a huge part of her issue with food..give her a game thats fun and she eats just fine..mom needs a chill pill...hope she can start accepting her daughter for who she is instead of trying to make her fit in
As a mom of 2 with special needs, now grown; yes, Erin's mom's anxiety is a source of Erin's issues. However, I really do not think believe Mom can't handle that things aren't perfect. She has accepted Erin's differences. Wanting and working with Erin to "fit in" is exactly what we parents are suppose to do. We are to teach and give our children with different needs all the support for them to be able to engage in our world. Raising children is a challenge, now add health issues, developmental issues, muscle coordination issues like chewing and swallowing tactile issues with oral sensitivity and you have combo that would make the most "chill" person anxious.
@@theirmom4723 it doesn't justify her attitude. And "fitting in" it's definitely not what you have to teach your children. She most definitely looks down on erin and regrets her. you are probably similar to her, and thus, try to paint her in a good light so you look good too. But bridget is disgusting.
I hardly think grapefruit is very nice for a 3-year-old child to get used to fruit. Try sweet clems or easy pealers. Muckbangs aren't the way to go either. Eating with your mouth full like that is a nasty habit and terrible table manners. Erin would have had just as good a view of chewing and biting with the lips firmly shut until the food was swallowed.
Erin needs some timeouts. She ate pretty well after skipping a couple of meals. Why fight her. She will eat her porridge when she is hungry and drink milk from a sippy cup. She knows how to do both. I wonder if her mother ever allowed her to explore foods with her hands when she was younger. Something seems very off besides the D.S.
The children in the show at least, weren't medical cases but behavioral ones (not just this week but the ones earlier that had way worse behavior). Don't take it personally.
I taught children with extreme behavior problems due to their upbringing and environment. They were abused and/or neglected by their parents who had no idea how to raise children. Poverty is very traumatizing.
Hi Dr trea we have hope your all groups have well we wish to visit your house. Please send your full address. Because now we are also studies psychology.
This group of parents in particular give me renewed hope for society. They work together & support one another so well, it’s so nice to see!!
The group before this one was oficially the most community like! Even tanya made a point of it. You would like it

When the other kid were trying to get the marker off of the bedclothes to keep Emma out of the dog house...how sweet!!!
I have a lot of respect for the families that come into this house and I have so much respect for Dr Tanya. She has so much to give these families.
I love how quickly families bond and start helping one another.
Emma's dad is a wonderful person, that whole family is so loving.
The dad is nice... but the mom and emma??? No. They are bossy and both the attention and feel so sorry for them selfs yuk. and emma feels like she is better than the rest
The narration is at too low volume, all the backgroud noise drowns it.
I think I cried more than Bridget when Erin put the spoon with the food on it to her mouth!
Me too.

Three family groups going improve. especially for children . two Sisters little bit can adjust with animals. God bless you for all.
Love this serie,s good that erin is making progress, kira,s behavior has changed quite a bit
It's just a bit sad that some parents is acting more like a kid. They are more fearful of their kid than helping them overcome their fear.
Tyler deserves more attention also someone check the mail. Lmao

Erin is so strong-willed.
The girls over the dog is just plain ridiculous! I just don't believe it is genuine. Especially the little one copying the older sister
Bad thing, that no picky eater kiddies (or adults) have these reactions for chips, sweets or other junk foods.
Special needs or not....too old for a bottle. Get Erin to put all bottles in a bag that will "go to all the babies". She isn't stupid neither.
We sent all my little brother’s bottles and binkies to “the baby bunnies” - the Easter Bunny picked them up as he was dropping off our Easter baskets.
Yep way too old for bottle it’s ridiculous
And that oatmeal mush! God, that looks absolutely disgusting! A 6 month old baby should be eating more than that.
It’s for the mom, she isn’t ready to let her baby grow up. When the mom lets go she will have the strength to get rid of the bottle
