Yeah- i feel like the og storyline and the idea of Gothel being a kidnapper goes right out the window lol- Though it DOES give me a rewrite idea- There isn't a set time, but it's suspected that the movie takes place somewhere ranging from the 1400s to the 1700s, and from my knowledge, magic wasn't really accepted back then- So Rapunzel existing with magical healing abilities would put a huge target on her back- Gothel may have found this out, and took her into hiding, where her first argument during "Mother knows best" actually stands, as she explained the dangers of the world. The Guard may still be searching for them, which gives us one of the main antagonists/villains of the new story :)

He helped her escaped but the two was chased down by the guard and his bandits. They have a chase scene, but after a while the two fearful character made their way to the town. Rapunzel saw the sun float and got a vision of her past; In the past, she was stolen by the bandits by the tower guard to use her magic to propel their empire's magic god but Gothel saved her and using her magic, She stole Rapunzel and make her as her own daughter. Rapunzel immediately entered the castle and confess to the Royalties. But they never believed her. They saw flynn and ask guards to shoo both of them. Rapunzel lost hope, and Flynn just leaves her alone. Rapunzel felt betrayed. Pascal also was bored. After a moment, Gothel appeared and saves her step daughter. They returned in the tower, and Gothel explained how she protects Rapunzel away from all bandits and the royalties for they don't know how dangerous she is when her hair creates a paradox and portal thru the hellsworld and etc. Rapunzel hugged Gothel nonetheless and they lived happily. Flyyn was watching the tower to check here and there, secretly hoping to take a glimpse of Rapunzel. Until He figured out Rapunzel and Gothel leaves their old home. He cried and regret being coward to tell his feelings.
funfact! when i was like 3 or 4 paw patrol had just come out and i loved marshall (he's the best) and for my b-day my mum asked me who i wanted to invite and i said "MARSHALL". on the day of my b-day i asked my mum "wheres marshall" and she pointed at my brothers friend who was called marshall and said "he's right there". i looked at her and said in the "sweetest" way possible "i meant marshall from paw patrol" and my brothers poor friend was just stood there awkwardly XD
